Great manicure - quick and inexpensive with a really friendly staff. This place is big and always crowded but this time we didn't have to wait more than a few minutes and they were actually ready for us before we had even picked our nail polish! Manicure is nicely priced at $10.00 and I left with 10 perfect nails. I will definitely return as they do a good pedicure as well. I am leaving Hollywood nails highly pissed off. I just paid $40 for a gel pedi that I don't like at all. I voiced that i didn't like the work done on my toes bc i came in with square shaped toes and am now leaving with rounded circle shaped toes. Instead of apologizing and politely giving my service free of charge, they continuously tried to shape my toes the way i wanted when there was no turning back bc at this point, they were short and stubby. I am so mad bc i'm a strong supporter of this business and have been since they opened up. Their employees are not trained nor do they know what shapes are. I am so mad and will not be returning. Got a matte green and pink nail polish done and, even though it dried well, it didn't dry well enough under their UV light machines. Both by the same "China" something brand, the pink lasted until now, but the green did not even make it out the door. Before I walked out, the nail polish smudged on the edges, which was bearabley minor. The day after I got them done, it started cracking and by the second day they were cracking and chipping all over the place. I can only assume it was due to not drying each layer individually well (it was a bit rushed..) or just cheap polish. Maybe it was a mixture of both. Plus, I asked for a flower design and got a strange four leaf clover with glitter. Overall not happy for $20+. read more

Nice little place to get your nails done. Decent polish selection. BUSY. BUSY BUSY BUSY. Went in on a Saturday, that was our first mistake. Without an appointment, our second mistake. They told us 20-25min, 45min later I was seated and my girlfriend was seated 10min after me. Once we were seated it was pretty much business as usual, your typical pedicure. Nice experience, friendly staff. Obviously a popular place given how many people were coming in. It's awesome they still take walk-ins and they manage it well, but let's not underestimate the wait quite so much. Next time I will make an appt and skip the Saturday. They also do waxing and other things as well. Located in a small plaza with a Starbucks, I can see parking being an issue on a busy day as well. They don't do Gelish polish so I won't be getting my gel done here, but an easy mani/pedi, sure why not. read more

I've been here 4 times for gel manicure. The first 3 times were ok, there were some things that I didn't like but my nails were so short that i felt I couldn't complain much, the 4th time was definitely bad. I went here on Sunday and only waited about 5 minutes before being called for my gel manicure. Jessica, who did my nails, had somewhat broken English, but she did a fantastic job of helping me pick an appropriate color for a formal event (very neutral pink). She didn't ask me how I wanted my nails cut/shaped and just went to work, but it ended up being fine. I would say that if you're very picky about shape, be sure to establish the shape you want at the beginning. They have a bunch of big-screen TVs all around, with subtitles, but it's not extremely loud. The actual polish application was almost flawless, though I did find a tiny hangnail the next day, which I just filed down very easily. A gel manicure is $30, which is actually very reasonable for Drexel Hill, where I find many of the nail salons to be subpar, and the hair salons that feature gel manicures to be super expensive. However, the hand massage part of the manicure felt rushed, which I find to be true of a lot of nail salons in the area. I think next time I might request Tiffany, who was the next station over and very friendly/talkative. Overall, I was surprised and pleased by my visit, and I could definitely see this becoming my regular (suburban) nail salon, especially with the late evening hours and Sunday hours. One other note: You can use a credit card to pay, but tips must be in cash. There's also an ATM a couple doors down. ***UPDATE:*** Once again, I've spoken too soon and have had to downgrade this from 4 stars to 2. A day after I got my gel mani done, it started peeling up one nail. Only a week after I got it done, it was peeling up or chipping on most of my nails. I've had gel manis elsewhere that lasted 3 WEEKS chip-free, so I know this is not supposed to happen. I don't know if their UV machines are bad (I personally think the 2-hand ones always work worse than the 1-hand ones) or if there's some other issue, but I won't be rushing back to get a gel mani there anytime soon. read more

The absolute WORST place I have ever been to in my life for a mani/pedi. To start. I asked to soak my feet in a chair while I was waiting. 45 minute wait and the chairs suck. I was told no. I asked about lashes. They were clueless as to what the lashes were made of (allergies). So finally I get in a chair. The lady who did my toes was nice. But they use the cheapest flimsiest toe separators I've ever seen. So of course when I get up because the separators are so tiny and flimsy... It messes up the polish. The nice lady fixed it but put the same toe separators in. Again this happens. Not my fault. USE REAL TOE SEPARATORS, not ones out of a Barbie doll playhouse. They are seriously this small. So I ask for them to fix the polish again. The manager refused. So I said I'm not paying for something I'm not happy with. Fix it or take a discount off. SHE CALLS THE COPS because of this. I'm sorry but if you can't buy proper equipment to use on your clients, you have no reason to be in business. I walked out and went to Starbucks next door. They painted my nails better and their coffee stirrers serve as far better toe separators than they have in this penny pinching place. THEY ARE THE WORST!!!!!! read more

So my best friend Amanda has been coming here way longer than myself but yesterday was my 3rd or 4th visit, not sure. My thumb nail on my left hand was starting to break below the skin so I was ecstatic that I could justify getting gel or acrylic nails haha. I have an event this weekend, Mayhem Fest, so I thought I'll get my nails done differently than my normal light blue colors. They do not do ombré but they do a kick ass pedicure. My mom, who is a tough critic and likes to complain about everything, actually enjoyed herself. LeeAnn was a sweetie to her and my mom enjoyed her work. I'm picky about my nails because I went to nail salon school when I was younger so I know what is expected in quality and cleanliness. This place is amazing for that. So instead of the black ombré I wanted, I decided to do stilettos nails because I never had them done and they are different. Some of my nails were long enough that the owner just filed them into a point and the shorter ones she put fake nails on them. She topped them off with acrylic so they don't break. We didn't get done until an hour after they closed even though we got there before 6:50. They are the sweetest and do such a great job! Awesome place! I've been here twice now and I have to say they have top quality technicians and services. The first time I went in it was late, about 7pm on a Tuesday and they were packed. There were 5 women ahead of me waiting and I asked how long the wait would be. The gentleman behind the counter informed me that it would be about 30mins b/c Tuesdays are their discount service days. I didn't have that kind of time so I opted to just get my eyebrows done. Even though there were all those women ahead of me waiting for mani/pedis they took me right away so I could get in and out since I didn't want an extensive service. It cost $7 for my eyebrows, less than other places in the area. The second time I've went was on a Sunday at 4pm. Again there were two women waiting ahead of me, but this time it only took 5-10 mins before they were able to see me. I got a pedicure and the technician, Lenny was awesome. He told me I had a little bit of a problem with my toenail, fixed it and told me how to keep it from happening again. He then proceeded to give me an A+ quality pedicure. I will definitely be going back there, the Hollywood Nails is clean, has a staff who can clearly communicate in English, are attentive to detail, and are very friendly. read more

Horrible! I went here because my normal nail salon was closed on Mondays. The technician was unqualified and cut my natural nail down to nothing when I simply asked for it be filed. Also got a pedicure (which I get regularly) and I felt as if I was getting foot surgery. I continually had to ask him to be more gentle with my feet. The polish was all uneven and he didn't let them dry before wiping them with alcohol. So I had to get some of my nails polished again! Never going back! read more

I do not like this salon and will not recommend it to anyone. #1- The manager (table #1) has AN ARROGANT ATTITUDE. #2 They charge upscale prices but they are low grade. I paid the additional $5.00 for a french manicure however, instead of opening a fresh bottle of polish the girl used polish thinner; the next day the white tips were peeling off. I was upset because I was traveling and my nails looked a mess. I called the salon and was told to come back in, for a re-do (or, so I thought). When I came in, the manager told one of the nail techs to re-polish the tips. TACKY! I did not argue, I decided to find another nail salon for future mani/pedi's. While getting my tips re-done, I asked the girl why she thinks my tips peeled so quickly. She said I shouldn't have put my hands in water and proceeded to tell me that regular manicure do not last and suggested I get gel nails. Here's the thing: BATHING IS NOT WHAT CAUSED THE PEELING... IT'S THE CHEAP, LOW GRADE PRODUCT COUPLED WITH POLISH THINNER! And no thank you... gel nails are damaging to nails. Here is some advice, if you want to be "upscale" try using UPSCALE PRODUCTs and give upscale service. read more

I love it here. I go every 2 weeks for a gel manicure and pedicure. LeeAnn does the best eyebrows and manicure. Rachel and Nina are great at pedicures. They are a busy salon so if you want to go on a weekend, its best to make an appointment or go around 1 or 2 on a sunday. Love this place. Friendly, professional. They can do innovative nail designs and are always happy to copy designs from pictures. The pedicure contains a great massage and hot towel wrap. That is often called the "spa pedi" in other shops. They do have a spa pedi option, too. I've never walked out with a bad manicure, pedicure or brow wax. Judy runs a tight ship!
