I love Pet People because they love us. Kora and I went to the blueberry truck and then for a treat at Pet People. She loves the freeze dried turkey necks almost as much as she loves getting attention from the staff. She was very disappointed to learn that they are wise to her tricks and did not have any bulk bins at floor level for canine petty larceny. As always, we got some good treats for her and she had a great time with the really friendly staff. read more

Hollywood Feed is not at all the same as PetPeople. Avoid it at all costs. Their corporate office is totally unprofessional. Looking for items you could buy at PetPeople? Don't bother. They don't have them. Need to find them elsewhere? Go to any other pet store in Central Ohio as they are readily in stock. Supply chain issues? Only Hollywood Feed has them. I wouldn't sell product to them either. Super pleased with shopping local today at Mutts & Company. They had everything I needed to purchase in stock. No excuses. No rudeness. Even ran into some PetPeople friends there who recently left Hollywood Feed to work there. I've been to this location twice. the first time I came to pick up dog food And elected to walk around for a little bit. The customer service worker was not very knowledgeable about what I was looking for. My husky puppy uses a very specific oil for his coat and eats a specific dog food.I typically go to the Petsmart or to the Petland in carriage Place but this was on my way home from school. The woman's did not give me the right dog food but luckily my husky didn't have any problems with it. That's partially my fault because I just wasn't sure what the brand was but she was "so sure" so I believed her and I got the wrong food. I also picked up while I was there one of those thunder coats for dogs that are supposed to help them with their anxiety because my Maltese puppy just shakes all day long she's very anxious so I thought I would get thisCoat that simulates a hug or something like that as it was advertised. However it didn't really work for her and I ended up bringing it back the next day. The return process was very easy and they were nice about it. They do have a rewards program that's based on points it seems very easy to accumulate those points. I don't know if it's because I have a husky and he eats $70 dog food once a month, or just that the goals seemed attainable lol. However, I would visit this location again if I had to. It's very clean it's a small little store at the end of a plaza that's handicap accessible. read more

I am very thankful for Pet People and their excellent customer service! I will only feed my rabbit Oxbow pellets and treats and Pet People is the only local store that I am aware of that carries such a wide selection. Everytime I visit I am greeted and the door and guided to the bunny aisle. I often call to see if they have a specific vitamin in stock and the staff is always knowledgeable and quick to check inventory. They have a loyalty card with great discounts and a punch card for free Oxbow pellets. read more

I grew up with dogs. I love dogs. Dogs are good people. Unfortunetly I am too busy for a furry doggie friend. Therefore, I do not have a dog. Then imagine my surprise on being awaken one 4am last week by the wet tongue of a Jack Russel. What the hell is this? Oh I remember, it my friend's who had to spend a night at the hospital. No big deal. But then one night became one week, and now one week has become four weeks as my friend infection has worsened. So I'll do him a solid and watch his little pup. I came here to solve a debate the pooch and I had. He is of the opinion that the carpet is a perfectly good place to poop, but I tend to disagree with that. Thinking that maybe he is picky about where he goes, and that my patio doesn't meet his lofty standard, I came here to purchase a leash, some waste bags, and a scooper. I also came for breath sticks, because his breath smell like the garbage disposal mixed with the hearty stinch of Frank Road. ( I am glad he can't talk; I do not want to know what he puts in his mouth.) The store is small but clean. It is well staffed with clerks that are knowledgeable and friendly. The place has many different types of cat and dog food, from regular brands too high priced pet gourmets. They also have food and supplies for birds, fish, and other pets. I was amazed at how organized and conditioned the store is. Every can, bag, and box is perfectly fronted and faced, every shelf is full, and not one dust grain or spot is seen. It has to be the cleanest store in all of Columbus retail. Hospitals aren't as clean as this place. On the downside is price; they are generally at least 5-percent more expensive than other places, but the service and stock level makes the surprise worth it. This will definitely be my go-to as long as I dogsit the pup. As for him, it seems we have come to compromise. As long as I take him on long walks and to the dog park where he can sniff around and breathe natural air, he won't go on my carpet. His breath is a minty blast of goodness now too. Sigh, only three more weeks. I'll probably miss the little fellow when he is gone. read more

I came here desperate for a solution to my cat's butt scooting problem. A trip to the vet had resulted in little improvement. The vet had suggested switching my cat's food to see if it was an issue of allergies or food intolerances. After describing the issue to one of the Pet People employees (Megan), I was taken to the wet and dry cat food aisles and shown the grain free food selections. Megan had a cat with a similar issue and she claimed that switching her cat to grain free and predominately meat based cat foods solved her issues. Megan gave me TONS of free dry cat food samples so that I could figure out which kind my cat liked the best. She also let me know that a particular brand of grain free wet cat food was available in the dog food section for a cheaper price. (same ingredients - just a bigger can). I was really pleased with the level of personable custumer service here. I really got the impression that they are very knowledgeable about animals and that they really care here. And best of all I think my cat's ass smearage has cut down a bit! read more

The friendly, knowledgeable service at this location is top notch and they offer exceptional products (I'm looking at you nasty smelling/looking Tripet canned food). I've had their clerks take my reactive dog to another part of the store (where the store pooch isn't in sight) for me while I shop for products. This is huge for me as Oscar is a train-wreck around other dogs even though he loves visiting the pet store. My only gripe is the cost is a bit more here but they make up for it with their customer service. read more

I went in there looking and acting like a normal human being and was stalked around the store and looked at like I was some sort of hoodlum. I went in looking for a nice bully stick for my jack russell. He needs them a little bigger than the average dog because he has a chewing problem. When I asked about them I was asked what kind of dog. When I told them, they acted like I was a serial killer and that giving my jack a bully bone meant for a large (rottie sized) dog was the worst thing in the world. My vet said it was fine but the hassle I got there made it to where I would rather go to Moochie in Tuttle mall than go back in there. read more

Very impressed with this store, I will not go anywhere else to buy dog food from here on out. My vet recommended I switch my dogs food due to gi issues and told me to head to Pet People. I walked in the store and was immediately offered help. They walked me through the food they recommended for my dog based on her size, breed and age. They then wrote out how much to feed and the best way to transition her. Best place ever, highly recommend. read more

The wonderful staff at the Pet People in Powell made our day! During a visit to purchase dog food I mentioned that my dog was currently in surgery for a knee replacement. I've been using this pet store for many years. They are absolutely awesome as staff. Everytime I go they offer to carry my things to the car. Upon entering the store they asked if there's anything they can help you with. If you say yes they will get everything off the shelves and into your cart for you. Pet People is pretty great. The store always carries specialty products I can't find anywhere else and it's always clean. The best part is the employees: I've never got the impression they're just trying to get us to buy something. Case in point: we had been advised to get a harness for our puppy. It was our first experience with a harness, so I asked for help fitting G with one. After an employee tried for a while and checked with her manager for tips, they were frank with us that she was probably too small for one right now (and that she may actually not need one, since she's so young she may be able to have it trained out of her). This was good information for dog newbs like us and I'm so thankful for the straight talk instead of going home with a product that was not going to work for us (at least not for a couple more months). Fantastic place to shop for all of your pet's needs. Friendly, knowledgeable, and caring employees. Clean store. Karli and staff are always extremely helpful and welcoming. They take the time to get to know their customers and are willing to do what they can to accommodate them. They know my extremely picky dog likes a particular treat and they work hard to keep it in stock. They have even offered to go to another location and pick it up for me when they were out of it. PetPeople has great products and friendly service, however it is a bit too pricy for me. I wish they would offer more deals/sales so I could afford to shop there regularly. It also makes me feel uncomfortable that the staff escorts me to my car to carry a bag of dog food. It's a nice gesture for people who need it, but I would like the opportunity to say that I could handle it before they pick up the bag (it's just too much). I love that they support local shelters and donate poop bag stands for EVERY park in the area. I have noticed and appreciated those poop bag stands in many locations!!! I hope I will be rich enough one day to be able to spoil my dog with all of the cute toys and treats they sell. I also love that they offer special photo sessions with Santa! read more

Friends of mine referred me to Pet People. I used to just swing in to Target or Petsmart for my dog food, treats, and accessories. I am now a convert. The prices on the food are a little on the high side though so that is hard to stomach but it seems to be better quality food....sort of the Whole Foods of pet stores. They have pigs ears the old fashioned way instead of those individually wrapped fake ears that are all you can now find at Petsmart...along with a number of other interesting treats and chew toys such as deer antlers. For our cat we can get giant supplies of litter and a large selection of foods and toys. The staff is super friendly and helpful which sometimes can get over bearing but they'll carry your purchases out to your car for you if needed and otherwise bend over backwards to get you what you need and on your way. They also have a rewards program where you earn points towards gift certificates and a punch card to earn free bags of food. read more
