Do not bring your dog here or any other pet. The main doctor told me, while I was in a room with my screaming crying pet that she was refusing to see me or the dog and would call the police if I did not leave immediately because they gave my appointment away because I went to medvet. I explained to the nurse that I brought the dog to matvet because he was getting worse and I didn't think he could wait till 6 PM to be seen by then. After being cleared by matvet, madvett told me, I can go back to my normal vet so I brought the dog there and they said that my appointment was given away and they could not see him. I said I didn't understand because I did not cancel the appointment. They said that they talked to medvet, and when they knew I went there, they canceled the appointment without talking to me. I told them I want to talk to the doctor the doctor came to me and did not speak to me only yelled and threatened me and said that she would call the police if I did not leave. So I was dumbfounded because i've never been threatened in this way, so I did not say anything, and I got up and walked out. Do not bring your dog here. Not once did I yell or curse or threaten ever. I just said I wanted to talk to the doctor and the doctor threatened me immediately. I've never seen a business run this way. In my 42 years of life, this is unbelievable, and the sad part is, my dog is still suffering and all they could do It's treat me like a criminal.!!! I will be contacting an attorney to see my legal options. And it's contradicting because when I got there and the nurse said that they gave my appointment away. She still brought me back to a room to talk to the doctor I did not ask to be brought to a room. She just said, please come back here to this room with me and said she would get the doctor. All I asked was to speak to the doctor so that shecould see the pain. My dog was in, but it didn't matter.Is when the doctor got there. I can not say enough about the caring and thoughtfulness of both Vets. The entire staff is so great with the pets. I have taken my dog, Bandit, there for a little of 8 years. He knows where he is when I take him there and runs to the door to go in. I have gone to Dr. Tiffany and Dr. Libby. Both are great. Not only do they care about their patients but also the family. I was having knee surgery, Dr. Libby offer to take care of Bandit for me. I only had to stay at the hospital over night so Bandit just stayed at home. It was wonderful for her to offer. I first came to know the staff of Creature Comforts when I met my current dog. Because of their role in his life prior to my adopting him, I kept them on as my veterinarian because none other had really impressed me enough to bother going back. After having dealt with them awhile, and having seen Dr. Elizabeth Kinsler around the Franklin County dog shelter... I can tell you this: the odds are that you will not ever meet a kinder, gentler, more enthusiastic, caring, respectful, and thoughtful human being than her. I can GUARANTEE you that you will not find another veterinarian who cares as much about your animals as her: it's truly as though they were her own.... and she is positively made for this line of work. My dog does not trust people. Period. Her? She can do no wrong. Same way when I brought in a neighbor's cat -- and this cat HATES foreign environments. She walks in the room.... he's a bundle of love. I swear, it's almost like animals look at her and see their guardian angel or something. You cannot possibly go wrong with the awesome, caring, thoughtful staff at Creature Comforts. Super Vet! Very reasonably priced and excellent care. Dr Libby Kinsell and staff are very caring and skilled. I have five cats and trap and spay or neuter neighborhood strays to cut down the stray population. The recovery time is shorter and the pricing is the best in town! My family has been going to Dr. Libby since we found her almost 8 years ago. She has always been amazing with our animals but after these past few weeks, I have the need to put my word out there. Almost a month ago, my 14 year old cat began having seizures and after taking him to Dr. Libby, she had to give me to heart wrenching news that it was a good chance it was cancer in his brain and he would only get worse. With his age and my microscopic paycheck, x-rays and/or surgery was not possible. I had to make the decision to put him down. I rescued him from a shelter when I was 7 years old and he was just a few months old. We grew up together and I had never been without him. He was my closest friend. Saying goodbye to him was the hardest thing I ever had to do but I am grateful Dr. Libby was not only there to help me make the right decision for him but was there to make sure his passing was the peaceful one he deserved. I had him cremated and when I arrived to pick him up, I found that she had not only written me a letter but had left me a gift. I am now using her gift to frame one of my favorite pictures of Cocoa and I and the words she wrote were heart warming and made this entire grief stricken experience much more bearable. While I hope that you never have to make this decision for your pet, the point of this review is to make everyone who reads it aware that Dr. Libby is the most thoughtful, caring, loving person I have ever met. She truly cares for her patients and their families and is overall incredible with animals. She has kept all of our animals happy and healthy until their last days with us always keeping their best interest at heart. I cannot say enough about the team at Creature Comforts. They cared for my cat, Oscar, until he passed away, and now they care for my cat, Daisy, who has some kidney failure issues, but is stable on her meds. I want to put in a "plug" for the vet tech, Jill. I went in this past Saturday for Daisy's bloodwork. Daisy needed her "glands" expressed and I know this was a rather unpleasant experience, but Jill was just so good natured about it, that I want to give her a huge thumbs up. The rest of the team is also very caring, and Dr. Libby, Dr. Tiffany (who I understand is at Diley Road Animal Clinic now), and Dr. Snoke (whom I haven't seen in years) are awesome. Dr. Libby and Dr. Tiffany have worked with Daisy since I got her as a stray, were quick to diagnose her issues, and got her health stabilized quickly. We adopted our dog through their rescue and now travel from Columbus just for Dr. Libby's services. Dr. Libby is my parents' vet and when we adopted Maggie she knew all of her detailed past and then asked how my parents' dogs interact with Maggie! She must have a great memory or detailed notes but either way, Dr. Libby cares about your animal(s) like they are her own. We have literally referred to Dr. Kinsel as a saint before!!! She is a wonderful, kind-hearted vet who truly cares about every animal and her (people) clients!! We would give her 10 stars if we could! She is reasonably priced & unlike going to OSU or other large veterinary clinics that want to run every little test under the sun, she always seems to be pretty calculated in the tests she orders. So, you don't end up spending thousands of dollars for unnecessary testing! She helped us get to the bottom of what was going on with our dog after we had spent many thousands and months trying to figure it out at OSU! She is very knowledgeable and friendly and when it was time to say goodbye to our old girl, she not only made a house call but wrote us the most beautiful sympathy card afterwards. That small gesture meant so much to us & we will never forget it! We had moved to California for about four years and never really connected with any of the vets who cared for our dogs. When we came back to Ohio, there was no question we would go back to Libby... even though we moved to Pataskala! She, and the rest of the staff at Creature Comforts & the extraordinary care they give, are well worth the drive!!! read more

Dr. Libby is amazing. My cat spent 5 days in this hospital and I honestly felt like Dr. Libby loved him almost as much as I did. She took such amazing care of him and went out of her way to make sure I got to spend some time with him. He unfortunately passed while he was there and the Dr could not have been nicer even though it clearly hurt her as much as it was me. Thanks Dr. Libby. Stop looking, you've found the best. Dr. Libby saved my best friend when no other vet would give us the time of day. Sid came down with Masticatory Muscle Myositis (an autoimmune disease where the immune system attacks and consumes the muscles of the face) in May of 2013. We took him to OSU for emergencies and went to several local vets looking for a veterinarian who didn't think their job began and ended with yearly vaccinations and heartworm tests. By the end of July Sid had lost almost all of the muscle in his face and was down to 50 lbs from 75, basically skin stretched over a canine skeleton, due to side effects from his immuno-suppressants. No matter what we did, we could not get him to eat. We spent all day every day force feeding him with a syringe, but it took hours and 9 time out of 10 he would throw the food up anyway. We went to SO MANY vets with our sick starving dog, and NO ONE gave us the time of day. I begged them for an appetite stimulant, and alternate treatment, anything to prevent my dog from starving to death. he was so skinny he ruptured both ACLs for lack of muscling in his legs and still no one had any better advice than have you tried CANNED food? Until we went to Creature Comforts. On our first visit we were given a canine anti-depressant and appetite stimulant and later that night Sid voluntarily ate his first full meal in months and kept it down! And Dr. Libby went further, recommending supplements that increased mobility in his knees and a complete blood profile (turns out he needed liver supplements). It s December and Sid is 70 lbs (some of the muscle loss was irreversible), goes hiking 3 times a week, hasn t had any further problems with MMM, and, despite his torn ACLs (unable to be repaired through surgery) is even able to jump again. I have no doubt that without the CARING, professional guidance of Dr. Libby we would have lost our best friend. If you love your animal(s), take them to Dr. Libby. Though our last concern, we also found her pricing to be INCREDIBLY reasonable. They didn t even charge us for check-ups and were always willing to work with us to find medications we could afford. Also, some vets can be annoyingly skittish around "pit bulls" (which describes Sid and our other dog) but Dr. Libby has known and loved pibbles of her own and does not hold any prejudices against the breed.
