However, I think the place is now technically called "Pet Grooms by Missy." I went today and was happy with the results. The service was easy to book, and it took about an hour. I dropped off a nervous dog, and came back to a calm & clean dog. Her fur was a shade whiter, nails were trimmed just the way I like it, fur in between the paw pads were trimmed, and she was nice and dry. Missy was very kind, gentle, and patient with us. The owners are some of the nicest people. If they ever come off blunt or straight forward its solely because they want the safety of your dog to be a top priority. There's no purposeful harm of dogs that I've seen here. Everyone is very patient and loving with them. Not only that, but they genuinely seem to care about their employees. I've not once felt like a pawn rather than a person here, and I appreciate that as well. I will say we can't prevent EVERYTHING. If your dog is new to kennel environments or gets stressed easy the risk is your own. We can not prevent a dog from licking his paw too much and causing a hot spot at 2 am when everyones supposed to be sleeping... with that said, though, we do try to prevent anything we can because the safety of your dog is the top priority here. I know I've heard a story before that one of the girls working here told me where there were fireworks and she stayed until 1 am to keep a anxious dog company until the fireworks stopped... I can confidently say if we have to, anyone who works here would be willing to do the best for your dog in that type of situation The facility is very clean, it's cleaned thoroughly twice a day AT LEAST [meaning everything outside is sprayed down and everything inside is disinfected as well while keeping the dogs away from anything harmful] I mean the amount of times I windex the sink in a day is amazing... About a year ago my partner and I took our two dachshunds here because our regular boarding place was booked. We picked them up after a week, and when we got them they seemed more distant and worn out than ever before. They looked heartbroken. The next day we wake up and our senior dog is covered in his own bloody poop and vomit. He is barely conscious and we rush him to medvet. He had to spend a week in intensive care. They let us know that he has developed an illness that can be induced by stress. 8,000 dollars later and our little guy is ok. I gave this place the benefit of the doubt until I was scrolling through Reddit and saw an anonymous post from an (ex) employee of this place saying that the manager is abusive towards the dogs and has a horrible anger problem. The owner has also apparently threatened this person for talking openly about their animal abuse. I am hoping people will see this review and take their dogs elsewhere.

Also, it didn't have that "dog groomer" odor where it smells like wet dog inside, so kudos to that ventilation system! The ladies working were super friendly and gentle with my dog (he was super scared) and helped him onto the table since he can no longer jump. They have windows into the working area so you as the pet owner can watch, which I liked as well. It was $10 for the trim and I was told prices for everything else can be quoted as they are done due to weight. All in all, a cute little place and they did a great job on his nails!

We brought our two recently adopted cats here for a check up/establish care. For first time…read moreappointments they require you to pay for the visit up front which does not include any additional services that may occur during the visit. It is purely just the exam fee (~$55/cat). They have an online portal and an app where you can upload any health records you may have. I like that they have separate entrances for dogs and cats. Also they are fear free so they'll never strap an animal down to order to complete a test/exam. If the animal isn't feeling comfortable they'll give them medication/calming treat and have you come back in once they are calmer. The tech and the veterinarian were helpful in answering all of our questions and made recommendations on how to get two cats that are not littermates to cohabitate well. The only aspect I wish was improved would be being forthcoming with cost. One of our cats had extra gunk in their ears and the vet said he wanted to take a look at it under the microscope to see what, if anything is growing there. That was an extra $30 that wasn't disclosed to us until we checked out. There was some yeast so he brought in some ear drops which we also didn't know the price of until we were checking out. We asked about nail trimming and they said it could be done today. It took about 5 max for both of them and I didn't realize (maybe my naïveté) but that was an additional $18/cat. I like the staff and service. Also appreciate the use of online portals/apps. I just wish they were maybe more forthcoming regarding the price.
