All puptown lounges are amazing! They are so friendly and flexible and their prices are so affordable.

I was late making my boarding appt for my pupper and my regular kennel was full. The vet's office recommended Puptown Lounge, so we decided to try them out. The staff are very prompt and polite on the phone. Their phone system was easy to navigate, but it took 3 requests to get my online account set up (my email wasn't spelled correctly) and it was never fully functional. I was nervous, as I have a non-social dog and it was very important to me that she have the appropriate kennel card so she didn't go into The Thunderdome by mistake. I stopped in with my dog the day before her drop off for a quick tour, and the whole place is kind of smelly. I could smell kennel funk on my own skin for hours after a 20 minute visit. Again, the front desk staff were super sweet with both a slightly nervous dog parent and my dog was a little nervous as well. The kennels remind me of recovery kennels at the vet's - they more closely resemble crates, and they are stacked (!) with the little dogs above the big dogs. There is a concrete barrier between, but the doors are open wire, with gaps, and the dogs can stick their faces in as they pass. I didn't love the kennel set up. Drop off was easy and fast, and wouldn't you know, that little stinker jetted for the back and never even looked at me. The front desk staff got her checked in and confirmed her kennel card, and invited me to call in for updates and assured me that they would email as well. I was able to call in for updates, and I saw my dog's picture on their instagram account, but I had to ask 4 times for her report card and pictures. I know that isn't super important, but I had been looking forward to a report card and I had to work to get updates while out of town. I bought her a couple of pup cup treats that were kind of expensive, but she loves whipped cream and wasn't getting a lot of enrichment at the kennel otherwise. Based on the pictures, they were big pup cups! Pick up was also super easy. Miss Smelly Fur came home and she and her bedding went straight into the wash. They do offer a going home bath, but I declined because - 1, they got her stinky, and 2 - depending on the time she was bathed, she may have gone back into the kennel, negating the whole process. read more

How do you accidentally shave the wrong German Sheppard?? They should never be shaved in the first place! But we dropped our dog off for a bath and they shaved her down!? We call and ask for an appointment when get a day, they ask us to drop the dog off by 8-8:30am. 4 hours later call back to ask where's our dog; told it will be at least 2 more hours?! Why did you schedule the appointment time again?!? We have taken our dogs a few times, at first they were decent, but they have really gone downhill with mistakes, over scheduling, poor customer service, and lack of care it seems! read more

When my wife dropped off our Portuguese Water Dog to puptown lounge she gave very specific directions about his grooming cut. We had his fur on the top of his head grown out to 8", we had asked for this part of his fur not be trimmed. When we picked him up the groomer had cut 7" off the top of his head. This groomer also cut off his eye lashed & whiskers, I consider this butchering his face. The groomer said he was tangled, whiskers & eye lashes do not get tangled & there is no reason to do this to any Dog's face. His fur was not even on any part of his body. We were Extremely disappointed with puptown lounge & this horrible, & unprofessional grooming cut. Our Dog seemed traumatized for the next several days! GROOMING - Horrifying Experience Took my dog in to get groomed today, she was badly matted but Petco has always been able to groom her with her matted fur. I got a call half way through the appointment saying they couldnt finish her because her matting was so bad. I was understanding and felt horrible. When I picked her up she was crying and had cuts all over her legs. There was fur coming off her and huge chunks of hair hanging off her body. I understand that you cant do a job because of the matting, but the condition I received her in left me sobbing in the car when I saw her and the pain and suffering she went through. Please please please dont come here if your dog has any matting, they do not know hot to handle matting or when to say no or stop before it gets too bad. She has gotten lots of treats and pets while I figure out what to do with her since the vet is booked. read more

We've been bringing our pups, Sara and Ruby, to Puptown for years - first at the Upper Arlington location, and now to Kenny Road, and they have always taken care of our babies with generosity and love. As they've gotten older, our dogs have worked through relatively serious health concerns and extensive medication regimens, and Puptown has always managed their needs without issue. They are always so excited to go to "camp" and see their friends, like Savannah, who gives them extra cuddles, takes their pictures, and writes up their "report card." I couldn't recommend Puptown more. read more

After speaking to Kendall the grooming manager at puptown lounge on Kenny rd who was very rude, disrespectful and discriminatory towards me I come to see that puptown lounge has been racistvtowards me and my family. I had been bringing my two dogs to them for 5+ yrs for grooming and overnight stays and have had no bad experiences until now. The grooming person that groomed my dogs cut my little princess yorkies ear and Kendall blamed me for this situation instead of being apollogetic for the mistake they made. She made me feel bad, uncomfortable and upset by turning this on me. The owner, who I did speak to, he also had no interest and sympathy in my feelings as to how Kendall spoke to me and handled our conversation. I did nothing wrong and I felt very upset and discriminated towards by both of them. They both racial discriminated me in this situation and in the end did reimburse my money but it never was about the money for me. It was more about how they made me feel uncomfortable, unvalued, and nonexistent in this situation. The money given back to me does not compensate for the pain that my little princess had to go through and the accusation that was thrown on me from Kendall that this my fault. Princess will have permenant cut on her ear now. Now they want to dismiss us from coming back to puptown as if i did something wrong. I have been RACIALLY DISCRIMINATED against and this needs to be addressed. Kendall has tried to paint me as the angry black lying woman which I am not. I am just a dog owner that loves her babies. After talking to Kendall and then the owner who validated her actions I'm disgusted and overwhelmed by their movements to this. This is not right!!! read more

We love Puptown for our new puppy, Eros! he's a shy guy but warmed up to the staff here really well. with our travel schedule, it's so great having a place that is flexible and accommodating; as well as a spot where he is played with so he can get his energy out! the report cards with photos are super nice too! read more

This place is great and the groomers are excellent! They do well with my golden doodle who has been kicked out of every other groomer in town and have endless patience! So grateful to have them! read more

I took my puppy for his grooming appointment last week. He had his nails cut and hair trimmed. When I picked him up, I noticed he was bleeding from his back paw. He had been bleeding for 10-15 minutes after we left so I ended up taking him to the vet. The vet gave him medicine to stop the bleeding along with a bandage. When I called Puptown Lounge, I was told I could have a refund but am no longer allowed to be a customer if I do. I was shocked with the customer service provided and will certainly not be going back. read more
