Very Disheartening…read more As a business located in Franklinton, Ohio, Play Pets management should be incredibly saddened. This morning I stopped in their empty parking lot for 1 minute to pack a bag and give a local homeless women socks, toothpaste, and other essentials. When I left my vehicle to deliver the bag I was immediately confronted by a staff member yelling that I couldn't park there. I acknowledged his concern and reassured him I would be back in 30 seconds tops. Nonetheless he continued to yell and threaten to tow me. Making the situation more absurd, after a minute of nonsense back and forth, I apologized and agreed to move my car 50ft to the next door gas station. I proceeded to deliver the bag to homeless women in 30 seconds. I am sure this is not the brand image and empathy a local business wants to portray, but it's only fair the community know what type of people are taking care of their loved pets.

We were part of the recent merger from The City Dog Daycare to Park Your Paws. We are a couple…read moremonths in and so far, it has been a smooth experience. Ellie has been with The City Dog since 2018 and we're glad the space still feels familiar for her. There are some different faces around but we have experienced that over the years and love that Ellie still feels at home. We boarded her for 6 days and 5 nights in June (for Vaca) and were really happy with the care she received. Prices on boarding have gone up a lot for a dog suite, but they honored our previously booked rate which we appreciated. We also did a recent daycare visit on July 3 and still have several days left in our old package that we can use this year before making any real changes. The only downside is the change from member packages to a new (for us) monthly subscription model. It's not really that appealing or attractive to us. The subscription based model takes away the flexibility we enjoyed as longtime customer. So we never felt like we were losing money for services we didn't use. Overall, space is great, now larger, with the building combined and noting we are a couple months in on the merger. We will see how things go over the next few months, but for now we feel good about the transition and would recommend Park Your Paws Columbus-Downtown, especially for boarding and daycare. He was an absolute mess of anxiety and that is where Buckeye Dog Training came in and succeeded wildly. For our trainer we had Molly, who was beyond professional, showed up to all of our appointments on time and with her lessons prepared. She gave us clear, direct tips and taught exactly what we had to do to help our dog. Not only that but she was a sweetheart that legitimately cared about our dog's well-being and mental state. For five lessons stretched over 4 months, we crate trained, leash trained, learned 6-8 new commands that help our dog understand what we expect of him. We completely broke him of his separation anxiety and now WILLINGLY goes into his crate before we leave for work. I recommend dog training to everyone. I believe it is an integral part of sharing your home with a dog, someone that depends on you to take care of it and to teach it what is right and wrong within your home. Buckeye Dog Training and Molly specifically were great, worth the price 100%, and we feel secure that if anything where to ever happen with Rory's training, Molly would be there and help out in anyway she can. If you've got a grumpy dog, get it trained and get it trained by these guys. They're great.
