Just as it was finally set up in their system so I could schedule an interview, all that information disappeared. It's almost like they don't want my business. I am currently fostering and camp bow wow graciously supports us. My foster Lincoln is a 50# curious, rambunctious, happy, baby that wants to meet every dog and every human. It is super fun watching the webcam! This might not be for every dog but once they do the interview and make sure its a good fit, your dog will be over loaded with playing, fun, alway has water available, takes breaks etc ( and yes humping occurs) the team are super friendly and caring. I took my dog here in Nov 2022 for her initial interview. I was excited by the fact that they offered boarding, day care, training & grooming along with cameras to watch. After 45 mins of her initial interview, I logged onto the cameras and found her in an over populated outdoor yard being mounted by one of the other dogs repeatedly. My dog was very obviously stressed and anxious as she kept running from corner to corner attempting to get away from the male dog. I watched for approx 10 mins while this was going on and ended up calling the office and spoke to the manager. The staff did move my pet to a different yard and away from that dog. However, the new yard was exactly the same: over populated and full of stressed out dogs. Any kennel owner should know and teach their clients about the safety of dogs and their emotions, especially in highly stressful environments. I was very disappointed in their "kennel" set up. It was purely a recipe for disaster. :( Along with other reviewers, my dog went right for the water bowl and drank every drop as soon as we got home. She had a full bath due to the horrible smell. I will not be recommending this kennel to anyone. If you want your pet to play in a safe environment, this is not it. Two star review is for the staff. It has an outside. Which is cool. The manager is always grumpy and complaining when ive seen her. My dog doesn't like going and sits in a corner when he does go. There are no activities they do with the dogs. They are just in rooms and outside. I don't know if they are given water bc my dog is always so thirsty and when I pick him up from partial days. My puppy had a dog humping him and chasing him for hours and they didn't break it up. It was hard to watch. They said they were too full for a week after I said something about that. My dog gets excited to go into dogtopia. He actually interacts with dogs in that camp. I'm not sure what the difference is. He just seems more afraid at camp bow wow. The employees have been nice I've interacted with. Manager could improve the attitude. We are entrusting out babies to her. read more

I was not happy with my dog's experience here. This camp may be ok for a few hours during the day but my dog was also an overnight boarder and she came home with some kind of virus that affected her upper respiratory. Even after seeing the vet she has had issues and this happened in May. I witnessed them spray her in the face while laying on the ground under a much bigger dog who pinned her down. Not sure why a large dog got put in the small dog kennel. I pulled my dog out immediately. She had a large eye wart, and sneezing, and coughing. Which she had not had before boarding. Let me start this by saying my dog has been a camper for several years. He loved playing and seeing his favorite counselors and he was boarded here on several occasions. Everything seemed to go well. I loved watching him play on the camper cams. However, recently I had an experience here that caused me to pull my dog from being a camper and boarding here permanently. Most counselors and the owner truly do seem to care about the dogs, however they have lost my trust with my dog after this. The morning after one of his visits to daycare, I noticed a bite mark on his neck. It was very large and I took him to the vet to get it looked at. When they shaved around the area to examine it, it turned out to be much bigger than originally thought and there were actually several different bite marks. These were not small nicks, but the result of multiple aggressive bites. I immediately called camp and they told me there was an incident where they had to break him and another dog up. However, when I had picked him up the day before, no one had communicated that any incident had even occurred. I then spoke with the owner, who promised to send me video of the incident so I could see what happened. I emailed her several times asking for video, which garnered no response. We spoke on the phone several times and she said there was no incident she could find on camera. She then promised to look again and have several others check too and she would call me back, and I never heard back from them. It's unfortunate things turned out this way, but the concealing of the initial incident and then the refusal to provide footage after the fact is suspicious and has caused me to lose trust completely. I need to ensure my dog will be safe at camp, that aggressive dogs are either removed or separated, and that any incidents that occur are communicated to me, and I no longer trust camp bow wow with this responsibility. read more

I would never take my dog back there because of the fact they have no clue how to even handle a business that has animals. unless you want your dog hosed down if something happens between your dog and another dog go for it. they will also hose down the smaller dogs. there are a lot of other safe methods to deal with things like that besides using an actual water hose. they also use chemicals that are not safe for the animals to clean up with and if ya board your dog overnight. well let's just hope they never have anything happen because they don't have anyone overnight in case of a break in or worse yet a fire. there are a lot of other places who actually know what they are doing and how to professionally deal with dogs and use safe chemicals. they just don't seem to have any regards to animals who may have a fear of water and will also let very sick animals in there. to those people out there that don't care how your dog is treated go for it and good luck. read more

If you love your dog (or even like them a little) DO NOT BRING THEM HERE. Staff is extremely rude and has no regard for the safety or health of your dog. They claim to be a boarding facility but all they do is leave your dog unattended overnight. THERE IS NO STAFF THERE OVERNIGHT. So not one person is on site at the facility if there are any issues or your dog has a medical issue. I will never bring my dog back here the experience was terrible from the start. I recommend taking your pet anywhere BUT here ! read more

Would not recommend to anyone. Dog came back smelling like trash and covered in mud. They also didn't do anything they said they were going to do during the entire process of her initial interview. They just let her go with 20+ dogs and then dragged her away forcefully because she was trying to play with dogs like a normal dog acting like she was some heinous beast. The only issue we had is that our greyhound got a little overwhelmed with the amount of dogs/activity during a visit and reacted accordingly (some growling and nipping at other dogs who tried to play with him while he was lying down). The staff were super responsive and obviously were concerned that he wasn't having a good time. In the end he did alright after he was taken to a separate play area for a (welcomed) time-out, but we picked him up early anyways. I don't know if this is the best daycare/boarding for a shyer dog who gets overwhelmed by non-stop play in a very busy play area. Otherwise, it is obviously a quality day care. read more

I first took my dog to Camp Bow Wow in late October 2018. I was excited that they had cameras to see how much fun my dog was having however that wasn't the case. The rooms were overcrowded and only staffed by one person. My dog was "mounting" other dogs periodically, however most of them were doing the same thing. The person working grabbed my dog by the collar and dragged him out of the room without giving him a chance to stop or even walk along with her out of the room. He was then not on any of the cameras for 3 hours. On top of that, he became extremely ill and contracted some sort of infection. He had symptoms similar to kennel cough, vomiting, unable to eat, overall extreme lethargy to the point I had to carry him to the car and into the vets office for a $400 bill of treatments. I reluctantly took him back a second time due to not having a availability at another camp. The experience for him during the day was much better (other than the horrific smell he always came home with) but again less than 24 hours my dog is having the same illness symptoms and will need to be taken to the vet once again. There are many, many people that take their dogs there and have no issues but this is definitely a cautionary tale I want people to be aware of. Needless to say, I will never take my dog here again. read more

We bought a daycare package for our dog, Mosby. Ultimately we had to move to another city due to work. Talked with Rose and she helped us to get a refund on the unused visits. Glad to see this place still has good morals as I'm fairly certain other businesses would have declined a refund. read more

This place is the best! There is a teacup room so my 7lb Yorkie always feels safe with dogs her size. She has access to both indoor and outdoor spaces and a guy comes to pet them periodically. We love this place! read more

I love that Camp Bow Wow has webcams. I'm not comfortable leaving my dog somewhere and not knowing what's going on. This is my favorite location - you don't need to schedule weeks in advance (which is the case with the Hilliard location). A couple of the employees are very friendly. read more

Convenient location in between my house and work but as soon as I run out of my 10 pack visit I'll probably drive out of the way to take my pup to another less crowded daycare. Supposedly another daycare closed in the area? maybe thats why it seems now that there are waaaaay to many dogs in one room. I think there's 2 little dog rooms and 4 big dog rooms, each with and outside area. My pup hesitates to go in this daycare but runs into the other one he's gone to before, he's a really chill guy and I just think all the commotion in one area gets to him. This morning a lab named baxter barked and lunged towards my dog, he looked pissed, and I was at least 8 feet away from him and his owner (she called him back that's how I know his name, i'll call him out, idc). Maybe the dog was having a bad day or maybe he needs another doggie interview. Hope Baxter isn't in there with my dog. Oh, they do "interviews" to make sure your dogs a good fit for daycare, so thats nice. They also have webcams which is awesome!! Front desk staff are nice. read more

Gus loves going to camp bow wow! As soon as we pull in the parking lot he knows where he is at! Everyone that works there is amazing! They greet us with a big smile and Gus goes running to them! It's so nice to know that my buddy is happy playing with other dogs and the people love having him! The "first day interview" was terrible. The woman at the front desk hands me a clip board as I'm holding my 5 month puppy to fill out as people are coming in and out with their dogs (making my puppy get very excited). Not very practical to be able to fill out a huge form. Next she refused to give me a tour before they took my dog. They said the tour is at the end? Then they took my dog and put him in a cage for 30 minutes directly next to the play area. He whined the entire time and was terrified as there was a ton of barking surrounding him and he was stuck in a cage all alone in an environment he has never been in. I demanded to see him and where they were keeping him. Once they put him in the play area he was fine but the whole beginning process was unnecessary. When I voiced being uncomfortable the lady simply replied "I've been doing this for 12 years, it's fine" and then she said "we can end the interview if you want." Basically saying it's their way or the highway. She did not once try and understand my concern or reassure me in anyway. She was extremely rude. After the end of the interview i asked for a tour and she said "well you basically already got it when you demanded to see your dog in the cage." So the tour is just a tour of the cages not the play areas?? I never went back. I took him to All Paws retreat the next day and it was a complete 180! The owner sat down and played with my pup while I filled out a form and then gave me a tour of the place. He was slowly introduced to dogs but did not need to be "caged" before hand. It was an incredible experience and the people at All Paws actually CARE and get to know your puppy. They are so kind and my pup gets so excited every time he goes and is very happy after! Camp bow wow is definitely NOT the best option in columbus! read more
