No, I can't recommend. We recently boarded here for first time after our long time boarding place closed. As I was checking our mini golden in another dog came in behind us and took a poop in the floor and no one came to clean it. I remember thinking that poor baby might be sick and probably shouldn't be here. Fast forward a couple days and they began calling my emergency contact because our little girl was sick with something intestinal! I thought it was just related to the food they were giving her since it was a different brand. Our emergency contact lived 3 hours away and we were on a cruise. So she decided to wait until next day and if it wasn't better she would go get her. After a trip to vet we found out it wasn't food related but an intestinal virus that she caught and now she passed it on to her little dog that got very sick. After vet bills, paying for them to board, and expenses of emergency contact I spent more on our pooch than our cruise. I would not recommend using this place. I wish I would have gone with my gut when I saw the other dog poop. Needless to say, I'll be looking at a different option for boarding in the future. read more

So my wife and I decided to take a long overdue vacation we have recently lost our 13 year old beagle, we didn't want to leave her being so old and her health was not good. So once she passed we booked a vacation so we boarded our 2 dogs, they have never been seperated as they have been best buddies from the start, so my wife booked the biggest kennel so they could be kept together, she dropped them off separately since we have a smaller car and the boys are larger. So since she set it up as keep them together no worries right? WRONG the next morning (Friday) we get a call as we are driving to Florida, that they found some blood in our labs stool, he was eating and drinking so maybe a little stress, so we continue and say keep an eye and call the vet if things get worse, the next morning we get a call we are in Georgia, they call to tell us they found our german shepherd was found dead in the kennel, they said his stomach was blotted so a twisted stomach, we were devastated, so we call our vet to take care of the cremation of our boy he was 9 years old, in good health he was a sensitive boy, we thought wow things happen but there was no signs of any issues with him, so we ask how our lab was doing they say he is doing well and they will move him up front and give him more attention, well I call later to check on him and find they didn't keep the boys in the same kennel! So our poor boy died alone and his best buddy never knew he died or could have closur, we come home 3 days early we have to ask to have our lab moved to a kennel with a camera so we could check on him. We get back pick up our lab, my wife talks with the manger she explains how pissed she is since we asked for certain things to happen and it didn't which the extra stress could have cause some of our German shepherds issue and could have lead to his death, we are not saying this is the cause of it but it didn't help. The boys were not even close so they couldn't see each other. The manger tells my wife he understands!! NO you don't understand I wanted to know how this happens that we booked this with specific details and that doesn't happen! He said we was going to check into this and deal with it, which this happened 4 days ago and you still don't know, that's BS! I think he thought since they didn't charge us and they paid for the cremation, they were off the hook, my lab is home not understanding where is buddy is and never got to say goodbye and our boy died alone, all because they couldn't follow direction! I'm writing this review in hopes that I can warn otherPet Parents. I'm more of a Google / Trustpilot reviewer, but made this Yelp account so as many people see this as possible. Instance #1 My first horrible experiene with Pet Palace was in August. I was running errands in the area and with our late summer trip coming up, my husband Josh and I were looking at options for cat boarding close to my parents (just in case). They live at Evans Farms so I wanted something fairly close to that. I noticed Pet Palace was just a few mins away from where I was grabbing breakfast, so I pulled into the parking lot and parked to wait until they opened. Then came a kia speeding in. Out of the door comes this short curly red-hair woman with an unleashed medium black lab who starts running around. Another woman must have had the same thought as me, as she began to pull in a few minutes later. As she is coming in this womans (unleashed dog!) JETS in front of her car. Luckily she was an aware driver and slammed her breaks. I then watched the woman with the dog yell at her and motion with her hands through her driver side window - she had a child in the backseat! I left immediately, then later reached out to complain because what I saw was horrible. I've never seen a customer treated that way in a parking lot! I finally got an email back from the resort manager ANDREA CLAUTER (I had to follow up twice) with a gaslighting apology saying that she's sorry for what I "perceived" and that it was taken care of. I had a inkling in my gut so I looked her up and lo and behold - she was the one I saw. Same hair, same black lab, same sun glasses. Can someone explain to me why she was talking in the third person if it was her all along? I have tried contacting some type of corporate or upper management / general management for over a month and have all of a sudden stopped receiving any correspondence (fishy). We group texted, went on Facebook, and told everyone we know to stay away and not to use them this summer. Instance #2 Fast forward to my birthday dinner a couple weeks ago, and the topic of boarding came up. Unfortunately, one of our friends didn't get the memo and his puppy came home to him with anxiety, kennel cough, runs, etc. And this is a dog that's been boarded before! He said that had he known what I saw he wouldn't have booked - which is why I'm writing this review. Stay far, far away from this shady place. We have switched to using Rover - more cost effective, background checks, insured, and the woman we use is full time out of her home and most importantly - sane. read more

This was the first time my cat went to cat boarding. I had especially packed his toys and his blanket to remind him of home, so he wouldn't feel nervous (his boarding was for a week). When we got back, I discovered that the blanket and toys were never placed with him despite the front desk worker saying they would. Even with the many other workers that went through his bag (that contained his food, treats, blanket, and toys) to feed him during the week, they never placed them down. I was extremely disappointed and sad since my cat was in a completely new environment and had nothing to remind him of home or anything to play with. read more

I left my pet there for three days. It's the first time I've ever brought my dog to a boarding facility and as soon as I pick her up on Sunday, she has kennel cough I do not appreciate this. I think that the vet should see her for free never again. read more

They took great care of our pup! It was a simple over night stay but early morning drop off and evening pick up. So he was basically there for two days. Not a whole lot going on in the lobby area but the staff was very friendly and kind! Plus the rooms for the dogs look very spacious. We opted for the webcam suite so we can keep an eye on our little guy while we were gone. The reason being past experiences with other boarding places. He was signed up for the 30 minutes of play time with other dogs which I am sure he loved! That is definitely recommended if your dog is spayed or neutered. We also treated him to a peanut butter dessert, which I am sure he loved! When I picked him up, he feel right asleep! Would definitely recommend Pet Palace over any other boarding nearby! read more

On September 6th I booked a boarding appointment for 9/ 8 /22 and a day care appointment for 9/9/22 (to be done back to back since I know I would not be able to pick up my dog before check out time at noon, and that I needed to pick her up at 5:00 PM). I received confirmation on both appointment on 9/6/22. When I arrived on 9/8/22 to drop off my dog, I was told by the person checking us in that they would not honor the daycare appointment I made for the following day and if I wanted to have my dog stay past the noon check out time that I would be charged for a full night of boarding even if I picked her up at 5:00 PM. I asked that a manager call me to discuss this since I had received confirmation for both boarding and daycare and did not understand why they could not accommodate this. I never received any call back and was charge two boarding days/night when I picked up my dog. The cost difference is only $10 but I believe this was a "bait and switch" and they should honor the pricing since they confirmed the both appointment in advance. It is a matter of principle and good customer service. Over the past 6 months I have done over $1000 worth of business with this company and have had other issues. One is that they gave me the wrong dog once when I went to pick up my dog. The other was I book a two week long boarding appointment in advance (two months), they had a price increase in the daily rate and I was never informed before I arrived for my appointment and was charged the higher rate, despite having a confirmation. read more

We have brought our pets there MANY times and have always felt comfortable. We even moved 2.5 hours away but STILL make the drive when we need boarding because we have always trusted Pet Palace with our dogs. However, this past time was not a good experience. I had sent one of my dog's shot records prior and called to confirm it was received (it was). When we dropped off, they said that they did not have shot records for her but still allowed her to stay. Unorganized. When we picked our dogs up, they were FILTHY. Upon looking through their belongings, we discovered only one dog's food was almost gone (and there were toys in her food bag?) and the other dog's bag of food was FULL. They fed my puppy my adult dog's food the entire time. The puppy also eats out of a slow feed bowl, and they couldn't tell me whether or not she was fed out of that while she was there. One of my dogs was also on a medication so I am NOT confident that they even gave the right dog the medication. ALL of their stuff was CLEARLY labeled. We also did not receive any kind of report on how things went during their stay, which we always have before. None of them seemed to know how things went while they were there. We paid for extras, but were they given???? I can't be sure, since my dogs weren't even fed the right LABELED food. NONE of the staff seemed to know what they were doing, nor did they seem to care that they messed up. I was told a manager would be contacting me in the morning since there wasn't one on site. Nobody ever called me. I'm not impressed, Pet Palace. You just lost our business and I WILL be telling others about our experience at the Lewis Center location. read more

I boarded my 10 month old German Shepherd mix there last weekend while my husband and I celebrated our 1st anniversary and was very pleased. It was Jakes first time going and I was very nervous about leaving him but everyone was so nice and reassured me everything was going to be fine. I was INCREDIBLY nervous about boarding our rescued beagle, Jack, when we did some traveling over Thanksgiving. I booked with Pet Palace on the advice of another nervous dog mom, and could not be more pleased with the experience. The staff at Pet Palace welcomed Jack with open arms and smiles, and our little guy was so excited for the wealth of attention that he barely noticed my fiance and I were leaving him. I felt completely comfortable leaving him in their care and my nerves were instantly calmed. We were running late to pick Jack up, and when we called to BEG them to stay open just a few minutes late for us, they were so accommodating. We arrived approximately a minute before their 8pm closing time, but I didn't feel rushed through the pickup process at all. They gave us a report card with notes about how Jack did during his stay; we paid for extra one-on-one time and it was 100% worth it. Jack was so exhausted from his evening game of fetch that he went right to sleep on the car ride home. I will bring Jack back to this facility in a heartbeat. He was obviously well taken care of and given lots of love while we were gone. The facility was clean, the staff is great, and my dog was a happy camper. read more

I have used this location for doggy day care for my foster dog who has tons of puppy energy. It's just up the road form where I work! The staff at this Pet Palace is extremely attentive and caring! The rates are competitive and the facility is clean and safe. The managers of this center do A LOT to help local rescues / charities / and non profits. Cannot speak highly enough about this Pet Palace. When searching for the place, it can be a bit tricky. It is not easily seen from the road. You will see a 24 HOUR FITNESS, the pet palace is actually behind that. read more

I love taking my dog here. We have used this location several times. I love the fact that I can watch my dog on the webcam at any time. Cvs always comes home clean and happy. Anytime we go to drop her off for another visit, as soon as we pull in she gets super excited. Which says a lot that she is happy to go back. read more

They get extra play time (a.k.a. love & affection) in a clean and safe environment. The facilities were CLEAN, smell-free, new, well light, large, and open. I take my dog Buck to Pet Palace for doggy day care & occasionally boarding. He loves it there. All the staff are really friendly & remember Buck & I when we check in or out. I get one on one play times & a peanut butter kong when he's there. He also gets 2 group play times. He comes home tired & happy. This place is immaculate! It also smells great. So glad I found P. P. & it's close to my house but I would drive a lot farther if I needed to because they are so good with Buck. read more

I took my puppy here with very high expectations. I was never given an expected wait time on how long it would take for my dog to be groomed, which was an inconvenience. When I went in to check how much longer it would be, I was told my dog was "being a brat" and was told it would be 2 more hours, so i headed home. As soon I got home, about a 20 minute drive, I was called and told it was time to pick up my pup. i was also told my "dog was very hard to groom, afraid of clippers", I'm sorry but coming at a 6 pound dog with clippers isn't probably the most enjoyable thing in the world. I just found the staffs comments to be rude and was misquoted on how long it would be. My dogs hair was also cut WAY shorter than was discussed before the appointment. My Pit Bull Mix is my third child and it makes me sad when we need to board her. We recently boarded her for two nights at Pet Palace North and our experience was fantastic! Check-in was quick and easy. They were great about making sure they knew what my pittie needed. They reassured me she would be fine and gave me the time I needed to say goodbye. I love that I got a Vacation Report Card when we picked her up; letting me know about her stay, who she hung out with and how much they enjoyed spending time with her. Check out was just as quick and she got love from the employees before leaving. She slept all the way home, so that to me, is a good sign she enjoyed her weekend. read more

At first I was very pleased with the staff and our dog's care here. Unfortunately after boarding our dog here twice she ended up with skin infections and bowel infections both times that were VERY costly at the vet. After being told by the vet that these infections were most likely caused by unsanitary conditions or other dogs at the kennel I will never board my dog here again, it is not worth over $500 in testing and antibiotics, not to mention all the time spent at the vets office! read more
