Hello! I've worked here for about a year now, and I'll give my honest review on this place. If you want to know what it's like behind the scenes, this is the review for you. The owners are some of the nicest people. If they ever come off blunt or straight forward its solely because they want the safety of your dog to be a top priority. There's no purposeful harm of dogs that I've seen here. Everyone is very patient and loving with them. Not only that, but they genuinely seem to care about their employees. I've not once felt like a pawn rather than a person here, and I appreciate that as well. I will say we can't prevent EVERYTHING. If your dog is new to kennel environments or gets stressed easy the risk is your own. We can not prevent a dog from licking his paw too much and causing a hot spot at 2 am when everyones supposed to be sleeping... with that said, though, we do try to prevent anything we can because the safety of your dog is the top priority here. I know I've heard a story before that one of the girls working here told me where there were fireworks and she stayed until 1 am to keep a anxious dog company until the fireworks stopped... I can confidently say if we have to, anyone who works here would be willing to do the best for your dog in that type of situation The facility is very clean, it's cleaned thoroughly twice a day AT LEAST [meaning everything outside is sprayed down and everything inside is disinfected as well while keeping the dogs away from anything harmful] I mean the amount of times I windex the sink in a day is amazing... PLEASE READ, TRIGGER WARNING, ANIMAL ABUSE Please do not take your animals here. About a year ago my partner and I took our two dachshunds here because our regular boarding place was booked. We picked them up after a week, and when we got them they seemed more distant and worn out than ever before. They looked heartbroken. The next day we wake up and our senior dog is covered in his own bloody poop and vomit. He is barely conscious and we rush him to medvet. He had to spend a week in intensive care. They let us know that he has developed an illness that can be induced by stress. 8,000 dollars later and our little guy is ok. I gave this place the benefit of the doubt until I was scrolling through Reddit and saw an anonymous post from an (ex) employee of this place saying that the manager is abusive towards the dogs and has a horrible anger problem. The owner has also apparently threatened this person for talking openly about their animal abuse. I am hoping people will see this review and take their dogs elsewhere. read more

This used to be a great facility we used then in the past so took our new puppy there. He is about 7 months and we liked it because they separated large and small dogs. Our pup weights about 20 pounds. we found out if he still wants to play they put him in with the large dogs and find it funny when he jumps on their heads. This has disaster written all over it. I spoke to them about it and was told it would not happen again. I picked him up yesterday and was told he is difficult to put back in his harness he thinks it's a game and I need to work on it. The owner came our holding him under the arms with his body hanging down. She was also in the middle of a disagreement with another dog owner. Wit this behavior coupled with higher prices and a 3% added charge for services we will not be going back If you can't deal with puppy behavior and keep them safe you should not be in this business. Our 12 year old puppy mill rescue is afraid of everything but loves going to play with the other dogs! We boarded her at ABG for the first time over Thanksgiving & had her groomed. She came home clean & happy. We are very pleased with Advanced! read more

We used Advanced Boarding & Grooming for our fur babies when work took us out of town for a weekend. Having never been there before, and because it was the weekend before spring break, we made a reservation and hoped for the best. What we found was a hidden gem!! We dropped our girls Murphy and Margo off early morning and they were already busy, but took time to answer our questions, spend some time meeting our pups and took us on a tour to show us the suite where our girls would be staying. They had a bed, ample play space and a tv on the wall!! Unlike most boarding places, we didn't feel an urgency to buy "play time" because they assured us that our pups would have several potty/play breaks. When we picked M&M up, they were happy, came to the lobby tails wagging and were sent off with a friendly "see you soon" by the staff. Advanced will be Margo and Murphy's home away from home anytime we need to be away! We loved everything about this place!! If you want your fur kids in good hands while you're gone, I highly recommend AB&G. read more

I had to board my dogs over the weekend for the first time ever. My 7-year-old rat terrier seemed scared when I dropped her off, so I called an hour later and requested that she be given a sedative if she seemed too stressed out. Fast forward to pick-up - she had a raw spot on her snout from licking it repeatedly due to stress and anxiety. Now she needs to be taken to the vet for antibiotic cream. If she had gotten the attention she deserved this weekend, the staff would have noticed this raw spot on her snout and given her a sedative like I'd requested. Will not be boarding my dogs here ever again. I cry every time I look at my poor dog's nose and think of her being ignored all weekend. read more

I had previously taken my last dog here before he had passed away and they were great to us then. I brought my new puppy in recently and after one whole day and only resting from what I was told was only 30 minutes, she slept the rest of the evening, woke up to eat and slept in to the next morning. She is an outgoing dog to begin with, but absolutely loves going right in the door and is super excited to see me at the end of the day. These guys really do work hard for your pets. Conveniently, they always seem to have openings for boarding when my vet fills up. Love the Sunday pickup option. They are fantastic at grooming too. Our dog always seems happy and cheerful when I come to pick her up. The items I drop off with her also come back in good shape ect so I believe they are treating her well. The staff may not seem as bubbly as the receptionist at a vets office or big doggie daycare place, but like I said. They are busy tending to our pets! This is the only place we will board our dog. It was recommended to us by our vet and he was right -- the staff is great and the place is clean and inviting. Our pooch is always happy to "go to camp". He's on daily medication and that's no problem there. We love Advanced. read more

I take my dogs Nigel and Annie here for daycare a few times a week. The dogs LOVE mornings when they know they will be dropped off here. All of the employees know my dogs and their personalities well. Just like my dogs, I love days when they are at Advanced Boarding and Grooming because as soon as they get in the car they are sound asleep.
