We were part of the recent merger from The City Dog Daycare to Park Your Paws. We are a couple months in and so far, it has been a smooth experience. Ellie has been with The City Dog since 2018 and we're glad the space still feels familiar for her. There are some different faces around but we have experienced that over the years and love that Ellie still feels at home. We boarded her for 6 days and 5 nights in June (for Vaca) and were really happy with the care she received. Prices on boarding have gone up a lot for a dog suite, but they honored our previously booked rate which we appreciated. We also did a recent daycare visit on July 3 and still have several days left in our old package that we can use this year before making any real changes. The only downside is the change from member packages to a new (for us) monthly subscription model. It's not really that appealing or attractive to us. The subscription based model takes away the flexibility we enjoyed as longtime customer. So we never felt like we were losing money for services we didn't use. Overall, space is great, now larger, with the building combined and noting we are a couple months in on the merger. We will see how things go over the next few months, but for now we feel good about the transition and would recommend Park Your Paws Columbus-Downtown, especially for boarding and daycare. My dog has gone to Doggie Daycare Center for 5+ years. It his favorite place to go and we have had nothing but a great experience over the years. The employees get to know each dog and I feel like we are a part of "the family." Their screening process is legit while still being informed and open-minded and I appreciate that about their operation. Staff understands dogs, how to read them, treat them, guide them and protect them. Their small dog space is ample and comfortable, and they know how to judge whether a small dog is ready to take on the larger dog space etc. Overnights are affordable and I never have to worry that strange dogs will be with my pup. Added services include grooming/bathing while they're at daycare as well as nail trims and of course - holiday photos! Could not ask for a better place to send my best pal. read more

The prices are on par with other providers but more inclusive with no extra charges for boarding play time and all day play plus grooming and training services are add ons. They are exceptionally caring to the dogs regardless of size, shape, personality or ability. My own dog can be a real big hassle you'd think only a mother could love-but each employee greets us with the warmth of an old family friend. read more

I love this place. The staff and owner are so nice and caring. They even have treats for doggie birthdays. They pay wonderful attention to my snarling Boston Terriers of death - Tobi and Aston and they always leave tired and dog-happy. We have not left them overnight yet, so I can't comment on the stay-over part of their services, but they do give them doggies a wash when I ask for it and can brush their teeth. Yay. I simply can't figure out how to do this with my doggies, but no problem with the pros there. Oh, they can also do toenails? So I usually get them a "mouthie-pedi" combo. Prices are good if you buy a set of visits, as they have a Nice discount. All-in-all, a great caring place for them snarling dogs. They are a local business, so that adds icing to the cake. I started bringing my pup to Doggie Daycare 2 months ago and I have nothing but good, great and awesome to say about them. From the first day I did my temperament test to everyday I bring him for daycare, they have been so welcoming and accommodating. We only go 1-2 times per week, but every time we walk in they know him by name and are genuinely happy to see him. They have a thorough screening for each dog to be sure they are compatible with the other daycare dogs. They also have an insta page and post what's happening throughout the day which is always comforting, especially when hes boarding with them. Which brings me to the next perk... I love that they have boarding and grooming services. We have used both services and while my pup doesn't like to be boarded to begin with, he seemed to do much better in a place he was familiar with and people he knew. Plus, I signed him up to have a bath before we picked him up and he was so fresh and so clean! They are now offering training classes, and while we haven't used them, I have heard good things. They also have a monthly newsletter in the lobby that I like to peek through to see any new things coming, and they will have pics of the pups with birthdays, and new clients so we know what's going on. Couldn't be happier with this spot. Thanks to their rigorous screening process, I'm perfectly comfortable taking my small dog here for daycare and overnight boarding. Within days all the workers knew my dog by sight, and you can tell by his reaction when we pull into the driveway that he loves it there. The staff provides helpful updates on how the day went for each dog. Judging by my pup's totally depleted energy level when he gets home, there is plenty to keep dogs busy at this facility. Searching for somewhere for our dogs to stay over Christmas, last minute, isn't easy. Doggie Caycare was the only place (out of 5) I called that was not only nice, but accommodating and interested in my business. A good sign! My three dogs went to Doggie Daycare for the first time yesterday! We had an orientation a week and a half prior to make sure our dogs weren't overly stressed being there and got along well enough with other dogs. The staff watched the dogs' behavior to make sure daycare would be a good environment for them. They got the OK from the owner and we set our date for the 10th. She advised us to bring the dogs right when they opened so they'd be easily accepted in the pack. How smart is that!? I would have never thought. So, I dropped them off Monday at 7AM and I was definitely nervous about leaving them. However, I told myself I wouldn't call to check on them. My boyfriend picked them up at 4 and everyone was in one piece and surprisingly they did not smell bad like I expected. Dexter, our puppy, slept the whole rest of the night. He's never been so tired. Our old guys obviously got some need naps in at daycare so, they weren't nearly as sleepy. Upon pickup, they gave a us a full report on how they did. I now feel fully comfortable boarding dogs there for 5 days at xmas. The staff is caring and responsible, the owner is lovely, and the place, while not fancy, is clean! The dogs are their first priority! On the facility: They have an entrance gate where their collars get replaced with special safety minded daycare collars. They have a foyer upon entering and to the right is the quiet room for nap times, to the left is the boarding rooms and straight ahead goes to the main play rooms. The play areas, including outside, stay available to the dogs ALL day (except in extreme weather). The dogs choose where they want to play. They have play gyms and dog houses in the play areas and papasans in the quiet areas. There is always at least one staff member in each area where dogs are playing. The owner told us they have a big remodel planned. I think it will improve an already good design! I feel their prices are very reasonable compared to other daycares. After tax $16/day per dog or less if you buy a package. Many other day cares are $20 a day. For boarding it's $22/day holidays and $30/day for daycare days with $10 extra per additional dog. They do not nickle and dime you for extra bathroom breaks and cuddle time. They do what's needed because they care! It's obvious this is a great place to bring your dog! I've already ran into 4 people I know who take their dogs there. Plus, my good friend who recommended me. I am a believer in Doggie Daycare! read more

I came to Doggie Daycare to have my dog groomed. Since I'm a new dog owner and I don't know where to go, I decided to come here because of the good reviews for their daycare services. When I called to make an appointment, the groomer was super excited to have a Maltese come to visit. The drop off area for your dog is the actual grooming room. There are a few stacked crates, but there was only one other dog being groomed, a super cute Yorkie. I talked with the groomer a little bit on my dog and her needs. I explained that she had a lot of tearing, and I wasn't really sure what to do. He gave me a bottle of tear stain remover and gave me some advice. After an hour and a half, I came back to pick up my dog with two pink bows in her fur. She was extremely excited and adorable. Her cut was a little short, but I didn't mind since it would grow out. The groomer raved that my dog was extremely good, except for her bath, but I already knew she would throw a fit since she always does. I was extremely happy with the amazing friendly and good service, and I will definitely bring my dog here again. read more

What a great place!!! We have a Puggle who hasn't been boarded in three years. To say he (and we) was nervous would be an understatement. The staff at doggie care does everything right!! From the "interview" process when we brought marley in after normal hours to see how he responds, to having him come in early his first day to be the "leader", they do it right!!! Marley doesn't like a kennel so it was nice to see little rooms with glass doors and comfy floors. The play area is amazing!! Wide open spaces with tons of things for the dogs to do. It really does remind you of a daycare. The outdoor space has pools in the summer and is big enough for the dogs to get some fresh air. Marley came home from his weekend at "camp" tired, happy and smelling great (thanks to the bath before we picked him up). We will definitely make this our daycare and boarding spot!! I've been taking my dogs here for over 3 years. Great staff. Very professional, but very friendly. They even give my dogs birthday parties! A little expensive, especially for two dogs, but you have the satisfaction and peace of mind they are in good hands. After a day at daycare, my dogs zonk out on the couch for hours. I heart Doggie Daycare Center. As does my dog. When I moved to Columbus I tried a whole bunch of doggie day care centers. When I stumbled on Doggie Daycare Center I knew I had hit a winner. With indoor outdoor play, NO crating, and a totally bitchin' staff (that will love your dog nearly as much as you do) you shouldn't have to look anywhere else in the City of Columbus for your dog day care needs. We've been bringing out dog here since she was old enough to be fully vaccinated, and she LOVES IT! She is so excited on the mornings she gets to go, and when I pick her up at night she's asleep within 2 minutes of being in the car. We've also boarded her a couple of times and have had no problems. I've been using this company for over a year. I love them! They take great care of my doggo and she is always pumped when she knows she's going to daycare. There has been some 'life happens' moments and I've needed quick accommodations and it has never been an issue. The employees are friendly and give me updates. Drop off is quick and easy. I've used some daycares that it takes 5-10 mins to complete a drop off, but Doggie Daycare Center is usually a less than 1 min process. Love this place!! read more

Not a good experience for me. "Sleepovers" are only reserved for those who take their dogs to daycare "regularly". I wanted to take my dog in for daycare a few days this week to make sure she would do well during a sleepover, but the lady said that my dog would not be allowed because I was not a regular doggy daycare customer. The woman I dealt with on the phone was not friendly and did not give me options on how to become a "regular" customer based on their terms. read more
