Meegan Kennels - Pet Boarding Near Me - Pataskala, Ohio

We have been using Meegan Kennels for a few years now. My dog loves them. Just got back from vacation and he was there for 9 days. He is back home and I have never seen him so content. They spoiled him. Bathed him before we picked him up. They treat him like a king. I won't use anyone else. Buddy loves them so much. read more

Meegan Kennels - Buddy - Pet Boarding Near Me - Pataskala, Ohio

Clearly they do not want business. Been two months since leaving voicemails and no return call. Oh we also submitted a request online. My partner just reminder me of that. So I understand y'all may be busy with the dogs, but it is laziness of the staff if calls and online requests are not responded to. Trying to support local business, however this is hard to when no one answers phones, responds to voicemails or online requests. read more

Our dog enjoys going here and it is so nice. We had a bad experience at another border and lost one of our dogs. We were very hesitant to board our big guy with anyone. He has done well here. The owner is kind and attentive to our dogs needs. When we check in, she is so accurate as to his needs. I would definitely recommend this place to any dog lover read more

We LOVE Meegan Kennels, and Deb and her crew. Everyone is very courteous, and they take great care of our senior beagle. Dodger has been boarded with them on multiple occasions now, and we've had no problems. They don't mind a bit when I call to check in on him, during our trips. And when Dodger got a little anxious from other dog's barking, they moved him to the quieter Senior dog area. I won't take my baby anywhere else :) read more

My dog, a 60lb golden doodle, was placed in Meegan Kennels on May 31st through June 9 of 2014. The owner, Deb, was very courteous while I got him scheduled for his stay and her staff was nice when I dropped Toby off. I left Deb with my cell phone number, my husband's cell phone number, my mom's cell phone number, and also my email address. I never received any calls from Deb during my vacation. I arrived to pick him up on the morning of June 9th, and he was limping and had a wound on the front of his leg where he'd been biting at it. Deb told me that he had been limping on his leg since the previous Wednesday, June 4th. So, allow me to reiterate. My dog had been limping for 5 days and not once had I received a phone call to inform me or ask me if I would like to have him seen by a vet. Deb stated that she thought it might be a touch of arthritis or something like that so they'd gotten him a cot to sleep on in his kennel. While that was nice of them, cots don't help broken legs. Yes, a visit to the vet (Westerville East VCA if you'd like to call and verify) later that same day revealed that his leg was broken. His radius was cracked in the middle which by the vet's best estimation happened by either getting caught in something (like his fenced enclosure) or being stepped on. She also assured me that it most definitely happened while he was in the care of Meegan Kennels based on the lack of healing shown in the X-ray. Please understand, I don't think that anyone at Meegan Kennel set out to hurt my dog. I don't think that my dog was abused in a deliberate manner. I do, however, know that my dog was injured with a broken leg for five days and nobody at Meegan Kennels did anything to help him, and that infuriates me. I am angry for my dog, and I am angry for any other dogs that might enter that facility and not get the care that they deserve. It is now August 18. Toby had a vet appt today, and the X-rays revealed that the bone hasnt completely fused back together. He'll be in his cast for at least another three weeks for a grand total of 13 weeks. It has been a huge ordeal for our family. Deb did pay for Toby's first two vet visits at my request. In the end, I would most certainly not recommend Meegan Kennels. * In response to Deb: 1. The vet visit was not the next day, it was one hour after we left your facility as it was extremely obvious that Toby was injured. You might want to tell your vet tech to consider an alternate profession. 2. I'm glad your policy has changed, and that you now call owners regardless of severity. Especially if you don't consider broken legs severe. 3. It was very kind of you to cover $800 of Toby's vet bills, but I'm not sure you can put a price on 5 days of pain and suffering in a strange place. 4. Toby finally got his cast off on Sept 22, 2014. Three and a half months in a cast for what you called a minor fracture. He had to have his bandages changed every two weeks and multiple X-rays to monitor healing. My bills were around $4000. 5. No, I definitely did not return your one call to check on Toby. As you didn't care enough to call and inform me that he was limping for five days, I didn't assume your concern was genuine. I suppose I could have called you and had a facetious conversation where you pretended to care and I pretended to be civil toward you, but...why? We both know that all you wanted was a signed document stating that I was not going to pursue any action beyond the $800. I signed and returned that and never heard from you after that. Perfectly fine with me. 6. I'm sure Meegan Kennels is all that and a bag of chips and that Yelp is "suppressing" the hordes of good reviews. Interestingly, there were no reviews whatsoever when I posted mine. In the meantime I would not recommend your kennel if you paid me to do so. read more

Meegan kennel is the only place I feel comfortable leaving my dogs. The staff is very welcoming. They offer indoor /outdoor runs with heated floors. The facility is very clean and the owner requires all dogs and cats to be current on vaccines. This is very important to me in the health of my pets. Any request I give them, they fulfill. I know that my dogs are very well taken care of by the way they act when I pick them up. They do not seem stressed in any way and seem to go to any of the staff members. They also offer grooming so when I pick my goldendoodle up he looks like a brand new man! read more

Meegan Kennels is a wonderful family run kennel with the owners living on site. Because they are a small to medium sized facility, each pet gets the attention they need. Deb and her staff are very conscientious and thorough in making sure each pet is well cared for. We rarely kennel our three dogs, but if we have to, Meegan has earned our trust. They have a separate indoor kennel area for senior pets with cots and controlled temperature to keep them comfortable. Several years go we used another large kennel twice. Our first experience was good, but the second was very poor. There was a completely different staff that didn't even know which dog was which, and they couldn't elaborate on how our dogs did while in their care beyond, 'they were fine.' At Meegan, they KNOW our dogs and their different personalities and make sure they get all the care and attention they need. I highly recommend Meegan if you prefer a more intimate, family runned business for your pet. read more

We have had our dog at another kennel and we were told she was aggressive towards the workers, making it clear the she was not invited back. We thought we would try Meegan. The team there has not had a single aggressive problem with our dog. They are always nice to deal with and treat my dog well. read more

Deb and the staff at Meegan Kennels do a great job at keeping the facility clean and safe. Deb's house is located right next to the Kennel, giving me the peace of mind knowing someone is there. I've been boarding my dogs at Meegan Kennels since 2003 and I wouldn't dare take them to any other facility. The care the pets and I receive every time is phenomenal. The bond of friendship and trust Meegan Kennels creates is like no other. The kennel staff is well trained and treats my dogs as if they are their own. I've needed to use Meegan Kennels for last minute trips and they have always been accomidating and understanding. I can't say enough about the quality of service Meegan Kennels has provided over the years and continues to provide. I wouldn't take my pets anywhere else, nor do I think my pets would want to go anywhere else. I would highly recommend Meegan Kennels to anyone who needs a safe & trustworthy place to board their pets. MEEGAN KENNELS IS THE BEST!! read more
