I have seen the amazing transformation in each dog and puppy with over ten years of using positive redirectional dog training, it brings out the best in every canine while boosting their confidence and building trust through basic obedience commands on and off the leash. As a Columbus Ohio Dog Trainer, I will never punish a dog for doing something that is undesired because that ruins trust and does the opposite of forming a strong bond between the owner and their dog while your K9 is learning different obedience commands. I will never condone yelling, punishing or intimidating your K-9 to get your dog to do what you want. My dog training methods include treat training, clicker training, leash and collar training along with e-collar training as well. I help dog owners understand how to communicate with their dog positively and effectively that will not only make your obedience training easy but fun as well! We offer private one-on-one dog training lessons, board & train residency programs and day trains as well. We custom create every dog training program for all new clients during their free in-home evaluations because that is how much we believe in our training.

It's very evident that Allison's goal is to have both owner and puppy "trained" with realistic expectations. In our case, she exceeded our expectations completely! In 8 days at Marcum K9 Obedience Bindi has learned sit, down, place, walk on loose leash, and so much more! I know it was WELL worth the 3 hour drive. We will be back for second board and train in a couple weeks for continued service/therapy training. Another bonus is that Bindi absolutely loves Allison. I can relax knowing she is well taken care of and learning more than I ever expected. Thank you Allison .. Marcum K9 Obedience!

While one of them has always been pretty well behaved, however the younger one was a bolter (I chased him several times - and he's faster than me!). We rescued him, and I'm pretty sure he had run away from a previous home since he already knew sit, down, and crate when we got him. Let me first off express how impressed I was with Terry, his training system, his flexibility in scheduling, and his willingness to answer my questions any time. Between the two dogs, my husband, and myself - I know that I was the hardest one to train in the bunch. ;) Terry came to our home in Worthington and provided fantastic training to both my husband and I, as well as to the dogs. So why 5 stars? Because I can walk my dogs off leash. I can leave the gate open while I unload groceries from the car, and they stay. I can take them places and know that I don't have to worry about Rowdy running away. It has improved their quality of life. Since completing our training, we took them on vacation with friends to a cabin in Pennsylvania. Of the four dogs there, ours were the most obedient, best listening, and best behaved. Our friends were all jealous. At this point, we are able to attend group class whenever we want - and we do drop in from time to time since it's good continued practice for the dogs, and for us! The Sit Means Sit crew have all been an absolute pleasure to work with. On a different note, and on behalf of my friends at Sit Means Sit - I'd love to address Heather D.'s review with a little insight. The trainer that she worked with is no longer on staff. She clearly screwed up, and tried to hide her mistake. She never alerted the owner to the situation, because she was hiding her error. I'm very sorry that Heather had a poor experience, but would like to say that Sit Means Sit should not get a bad reputation due to a former employee who made mistakes. The company is solid, the current staff is fantastic, and the result is amazing. They do care about and value their customers: both human and canine alike. If you love your dog, and are considering doing some dog training to improve their behaviors, Call Sit Means Sit. They totally changed my relationship with my dogs - and their quality of life.
