It's very evident that Allison's goal is to have both owner and puppy "trained" with realistic expectations. In our case, she exceeded our expectations completely! In 8 days at Marcum K9 Obedience Bindi has learned sit, down, place, walk on loose leash, and so much more! I know it was WELL worth the 3 hour drive. We will be back for second board and train in a couple weeks for continued service/therapy training. Another bonus is that Bindi absolutely loves Allison. I can relax knowing she is well taken care of and learning more than I ever expected. Thank you Allison .. Marcum K9 Obedience!

I should have made this review years ago.... In February of 2023, I left both my Dalmatians here…read morefor over 12 days..... We were back visiting family and trusted this place. I have one before picture of how my youngest Dalmatians (1.5 years old) at the time looked in January vs February when I picked her up....... I will say when I put her in my car I started to cry because she looked so sick. Both of my doggies had a large box of food, there was no food at all when I picked them up, so I'm confused if they actually ate? And did they run out and just not get fed????? My dogs LOVE to eat and are travelers, they are not shy!! I'm putting this review on here now because I've seen similar complaints from this place. I don't know if they specifically hate Dalmatians, but my girls did not deserve this treatment. So I ask. If they didn't eat, why wouldn't I be called?..... when I picked them up on February 20th and offered them water, they drank it down so fast like they had never seen water. The amount of food they ate made them sick, it was a hunger type fast paced eating..... I couldn't believe that a place I trusted so much had let me down this badly!!! So I have to ask do they target specific breeds??? Anyways I would NEVER recommend this place to anybody, and I'm disappointed....... We had to drive to Texas this same week and stopped at an emergency vet on the way because of increasing respiratory distress....... We thought we were gonna lose our poor baby over the incompetence of this day care/ boarding center....... DO BETTER!!!!! Especially when people pay all these extra fees to have the dogs in all day play/baths/suites..... This should have never happened!!!!

This place is very problematic. In my experience, they allow dogs who create instances (biting…read moreanother dog, and not the first time) to remain at the daycare among the other dogs. The dog in question has had previous instances and was not kicked out - be careful if you don't want to receive a call in the middle of the day to go get your sweet angel to take to the vet for antibiotics and pain meds.

After working with Alex, we realized that her biggest issue was that she was "over-excited". Alex recommended her to be on anxiety medication which we found was VERY helpful and needed. He also explained to us how to monitor her levels of excitement by using commands and waiting for her to calm down before she became jumpy, nippy and barking. We also realized that we needed to use a muzzle when new people came in and around our 2 year old to make sure she's not nippy with them. All this and the commands gave us huge relief. We had 4 sessions with Alex and have had her for 3 months and we feel so much better. We definitely recommend Alex. He knows what he's doing and he's so kind with the dogs.

We…read morewere not used to a large/powerful dog; especially one with a high prey drive and reactive behaviors. We were in over our heads and stressed out. In less than a month with Alex, we have learned so much, and have come such a long way. We learned multiple commands, walking on a head collar (simply because that was the safest choice for us). Most importantly in my opinion, we've learned how to keep our dog safe, others safe, and how to help her interact properly with other dogs and people. We still have a lot of work to do, but with Alex's guidance we are confident in our ability to be successful. Alex is INCREDIBLE with our dog, but more than that, he has helped us humans learn what to do, too. He's been so supportive of us! The group walks are an awesome option to further help us practice what we're learning and help socialize our dog. Alex has also been very accommodating with us and our needs. We highly, HIGHLY recommend Alex/OOTW Dog training. I truly don't know what we would've done without them! I included a picture of our dog working hard on interacting properly with guests; while also working on sitting politely while we eat

No exam,no exam tomorrow, just came out to the waiting room to tell me my dog had a heart rate that was life threatening and she needed to stay. I told her I would like to see my dog, she informed me that there no rooms available for that. After another 30 minutes later a tech came out with an estimate. I asked some more questions about them keeping her the tech told me I would need to talk to the vet again, another 25 minutes later, the vet came out. She was clearly annoyed, sat down and stared at me, didn't ask what I needed did say "I heard you had questions" just glared. I asked my questions she answered them clipped and clearly agitated. I told her I was uncomfortable leaving my dog but if that was best for my dog I would, but I wasn't leaving until I saw her. We arrived at medvet at 7:15, at 9:30 I was finally able to see my dog again. After I had been told my estimate and diagnosis, one that was procured with zero testing, in a room full of strangers. I had spent a total of less than five minutes with a real person and they wanted me to sign an estimate for 2600.00. After 20 minutes in a room with my dog, they came back I signed the agreement and the tech agreed that she probably didn't need to stay. Never saw the vet again, but after another two hours they agreed to treat her and let her go home. For an issue they insisted was life threatening they too. Their time making me feel pressured into giving them thousands of dollars but doing very little for my dog. I cannot express enough DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE! They want your money, there is no empathy, the front desk is cold impersonal, the vet is hard and takes zero time with people. As long as this review is I could go on for another 500 words of the things they screwed up, letting me sit in a room alone for a tech to come retrieve my dog that hadn't even been brought to me, a second tech coming in to ask me what how they were treating her, the front desk acting like I was bothering them when I check out. DO NOT GO HERE.
