We also realized that we needed to use a muzzle when new people came in and around our 2 year old to make sure she's not nippy with them. All this and the commands gave us huge relief. Rex also didn't greet us the way he normally does. That evening he was lethargic, panting, refused his dinner, and had several episodes of loose stool. Overnight he developed profuse diarrhea and excessive drooling and stopped eating entirely. The next morning, August 5, we took him to the OSU Veterinary Medical Center Emergency Service, where he was diagnosed with severe septic pneumonia and multiple organ dysfunction syndrome (MODS). He was hospitalized for over a week, requiring high-flow oxygen therapy, IV antibiotics, blood pressure support, and intensive monitoring before he stabilized enough to come home. Our vet bill for his treatment came to $17,148.74. Rex was healthy when we dropped him off. Within hours of pickup he was showing signs of serious illness, and he spent the following week in intensive care. I've never experienced this at another dog daycare before! I was elated that all dogs were not crammed together and had space, along with the trainers being close by. My German Shepherd Husky mixes have loved learning all that Paige and team have put in front (more like to the side ) of them. Their controlled walking has been a night and day difference, especially when there are other distractions around. We've continued to work on everything that we have learned; heel, sit, place, and come. My doggie, Dozer, and I just LOVE the Dog Stop!! Dozer has been for their grooming services as well…read moreas their boarding services and everything is superb! First of all, we love the location. Since I live and work downtown, it's really nice to take him to a place that's only a four minute drive! They have a spacious parking lot and it's super easy to get him in and out. The facility is awesome! They have a little store just inside the entrance and behind that is their boarding area which is in front of the daycare parks and next to the grooming station. You cannot beat the prices and service here. I was going on a last minute out of town trip and needed boarding services and they allowed me to bring Dozer in before they opened. They were so gracious to work with me. I loved watching him on the cameras. He had a blast playing with new friends and running around. Their outdoor area is awesome! It's turf so Dozer's grass allergies weren't agitated. I learned that they clean it regularly and that it has a draining system. Very cool! I was so comfortable leaving my little man there and I know he had a great time! Their grooming is awesome too! Their prices are so good and they really took care of my nervous guy. He left looking and smelling fresh! I can't recommend this place enough! And they're open 365 days a year! They have a very unique approach to doggie daycare. No cages! I was concerned at first until I saw how Christie and her staff gradually introduced other dogs to Arnold and were very aware of behaviors. I watched from a tv monitor in the lobby area. Next thing I know there are 5-7 dogs with Arnold and he was loving it. They let the dogs spend hours together the first day and today he was there a full day. I'll be boarding him overnight Friday and Saturday. The staff is very attentive to all the dogs and know how to redirect if playing gets a little escalated. Today I was working and was able to check on Arnold from my phone, watching the cams in all of the rooms. I love that he can play all day instead of being caged for 2/3 of his stay. I highly recommend CRAM to anyone who has a socialized dog, to treat them to a real play day or two. I look forward to using them more in the future!
