I used to have a monthly membership here when it was DIY Pet Grooms-- and it was well worth it! My husband and I would bring our dog here, one of the groomers would cut her nails and trim her paw pads, and then my husband and I would bathe & dry her together. However, I think the place is now technically called "Pet Grooms by Missy." I went today and was happy with the results. The service was easy to book, and it took about an hour. I dropped off a nervous dog, and came back to a calm & clean dog. Her fur was a shade whiter, nails were trimmed just the way I like it, fur in between the paw pads were trimmed, and she was nice and dry. Missy was very kind, gentle, and patient with us. I took my dog to this place for the 2nd time. For the first time we just got like a puppy cut, this time like a real cut. The lady who took my dog just kept saying--my dog had matted that she had to shave it. I took my dog around to find a place that I may like but still couldn't find. But I'd say that other places they gave more brush for my dog and didn't shave him so short. DIY Pet Groom was shaving my dog, his fur almost gone, I'm not very happy, I talked to my friend and everybody agreed that they just wanted to make it quick and I'm not gonna lie, my dog he didn't like it either! And it's winter, he'll be cold! I have found my groomer! Dawn is awesome. My dog is super anxious around other dogs and she was able to schedule his bath early before other dogs appointments started. Also this place is way more affordable than Petsmart/Petco! She was super nice and friendly. My dog got a good wash and nail trim that was much needed. I will absolutely be taking him back here as long as we live in Columbus. read more

This is by far the best place I've ever taken my dog for a self-service bath. He does not enjoy baths and has stability issues so having support to both his from and back ends is critical. He has skin issues for each time of year and they have a vast variety of shampoo and conditioner options to help. Pre-covid I could drop by, get right in and be out in 10 minutes. My dog still doesn't love baths but appreciates speed and gets more hugs and pets when he's clean:) read more

Wow!!! Our dog hates cages, and having his nails clipped, so we have had a challenge finding a place that will help. We have found it. The staff there is amazing. I don't need an appointment. Just walked in, and they were ready for the challenge. They took time to get him on the board to cut the nails, but he had none of that. So the staff said let's just do the nails on the floor. They got done and took their time seeing how nervous he was. Just impressed with the way I saw them treat the animals that came in. We will be back for such great service. read more

As a veterinarian, I would NOT RECOMMEND TAKING YOUR DOG HERE! I have previously taken my here before for a full groom. She is geriatric and has a double coat, and I know they offer services catering her needs and fully aware that theres cost for that. It came out to be $150, as anticipated, for bath, cut, tummy shave, paw trim, nail trim, and blow dry. Recently, I scheduled my dog for just a BATH AND BLOW DRY and was charged the exact same amount AFTER the fact I was notified that my dog was "down" after receiving her bath, but seemed to be "okay." I communicated with the groomer to forgo any further brushing/ blow drying and that I could come get her if she thought she needed any medical attention. I was reassured she was ok with a few skin irritations being seen during her blow try. I then had VERBALLY CONFIRMED OVER THE PHONE that I ONLY wanted a bath and no grooming to happen. I also mentioned that I was aware of her skin irritations because my dog does water therapy for her arthritis. My dog was picked up by my boyfriend and I was then notified about the charge being $150, the same exact charge I paid at this place for a FULL GROOM on her. That is when all the unprofessionalism I experienced began..... I had called over 5 times, leaving multiple messages, messages on Facebook (which showed as read), on asking why the price was so high and today I finally got my answer. The owner, Matt, called me and was beyond aggressive speaking to me over the phone, accusing me of not understanding the extent of my dog (HELLO, I'M HER VET AND EVEN VERBALLY CONFIRMED MY AWARENESS OF HER CONDITIONS!) and would not give me exact reasons as to why the cost was so high even though their website indicates $80 for bath. I even made it clear to him how I fully anticipated the bath to be around $80-100 but NOT the same price as her full groom. I also repeatedly asked him to stop yelling over the phone. He complained about his personal problems, got mad again and then hung up. This place is unprofessional and I seriously question the safety for ANY animal who goes there and as a person and veterinarian, I HIGHLY recommend NOT to go here unless you do the services yourself! Never have I been so disappointed in customer service and lack of communication. read more

I have never had a problem with DIY up until this weekend when I took my Sammie to have her a full groom/bath/nails. After a 4 and a half hour wait to pick her up my husband paid $110 and brought her home. Had I picked her up we would not have left in the condition she was in. Her groom looks like a 4 year old did it. (And backstory, when we dropped her off the groomer was complaining about her back hurting and when I called after 3 hours to check on her I was told the groomer had to take a few breaks because her back was hurting.) Her nails are still as long as they were when I took her in, she has really close to the skin patches and zig zags all over, her tail was not touched and it appears she groomed her up until the neck then stopped. She looks like the dog on that commercial where they talk about doing something halfway......... I called and talked to management today and they offered to "touch her up" and would I want the same groomer since Sammie knew her........... Um, no she's not touching my dog again and I'm not going back. Not sure whats going on here because like I said we have taken her here for grooming before and for bathing and have always enjoyed it and never had a problem. We took our shih tzu, Maddie to have her groomed yesterday. The last time we tried to have her groomed she went crazy and we had to go get her. She almost hung herself. My wife stopped in last week and explained what had happened with her at the other groomers. Dawn was very understanding and my wife felt very comfortable with her. We set up an appointment for Maddie and when we took her in, Dawn spent time with her getting to know her. She was playing and very happy. My wife left her and was very comfortable doing so. We got her back a few hours later and she was a very happy pup. So happy that we now have a groomer we can trust with our fur babies. We have 3 of these little characters and we will now be using Dawn for all of their grooming. Would absolutely reccomend them for all your grooming needs. read more

I love this place! I take my cavachon here nearly every time I want to bathe her myself and when she is ready for a "spa day" I leave her with her groomer, Diane. Had a minor travel emergency involving a crate and a puppy and, well, poop. I was able to use the facilities to clean both puppy and crate and she even kept puppy safe while I carted the crate from the car and back again. Very clean facilities with innovative shampoo systems. Love it!! read more

If you'd like access to our August Vaccine Clinic, send us a FB message or call (614)468-1243 to get in! I made an appointment to take my granddaughters puppy to the vaccine clinic August 30,2015. The staff was very nice, not real professional, I excused that due to it being a Sunday and we were the last appointment. As we were rushed through the non-exist exam that was supposed to happen, we were told that we would be called for a follow up booster shots with in the next 30 days. We are now in November with no follow up. I have called the store 3 times to schedule the follow up. I was told they do not know the procedure that the vet on staff that day follows. But they would reach out to him and have him or his office follow up. Two weeks have gone by with still no follow up again. Now I have to start the shots all over again because of the lack of concern this male vet has for animals. First impression I will not go back and will share my experience with everyone.
