I got back my car after it was stolen and damaged. HCC was the company that tolled the car and after conversing with mike and his team, I end up letting them fix my car. As you can see they did an exceptional job on my car. Definitely a good link to have. The staff were super nice and the own mike super dope down to earth individual.

Trash service. Not people oriented. Over priced. Highly disappointed with how I was treated.

John worked on Lucy (my car), and he called me several times to keep me updated on the diagnostics. He never pressured me into doing anything I didn't want to do. That showed me this auto shop isn't just about making money. They genuinely cares about customer satisfaction. When I picked up my car, John explained everything to me again in detail. He even let me know that I could save more by paying in cash. Of course, I never pass up a discount, so I went to get cash from the bank down the block. My car is running smoothly, and I truly believe I've found my new auto shop.

I have been a customer for 2-3 years now, every car that I've owned at a time and brought to this shop has always been treated with care, reliably maintained and fixed. Their prices are extremely fair in my personal honest opinion. I'm proud to say that Great Bear Auto is honestly the most trustworthy mechanic shop I know in Queens. I consider them family now. Their determination to fix an old car like mine is rare and greatly appreciated. I will genuinely always hold Great Bear Auto with high regards for so many reasons. John cares just as much as I do to make sure my car is well taken care of. Carrie knows how to get quick results, Joe and the rest of the team deserve great praise for all their hardwork. Audra is such an amazing and inspiring individual that I feel lucky to cross paths with. With Audras leadership and the staffs followership, Great Bear Auto shows the quality of their work through their team effort. If you're looking for a trustworthy mechanic shop that cares, seriously give them a call, visit and let their amazing mechanics do their job and I swear you'll be impressed. PS: Some pictures were taken by John at Great Bear and shared with me as progress updates. Here I share them with you, for a review you can trust.

They do not do any work unless it is essential! I appreciate their honesty and will continue to have my car handled at Danny's. The costs are fair and affordable. My car was serviced and its a manual transmission. I worry with prices going up but am happy to have a place to take my wheels to for awesome service! Thank you!

Finding a good mechanic comes down to trust, and these guys completely lost ours. We had our car repaired through insurance here in 2022, and it was a mistake. When we picked it up, the paint looked dull compared to the rest of the car, and some areas appeared to be missing clear coat. We brought this to their attention, but they brushed it off as a result of blending the paint. Although we noticed the issue persisted, we trusted their explanation and moved on. Fast-forward four years, and the clear coat started peeling around the exact area they repaired. We returned to ask them to address the issue, only to be told that the person they outsourced the paintwork to was no longer in business. They took pictures and said they would consult their current painter and get back to us. The next day, they called and quoted us $1,000 to fix the problem. When I questioned why we should pay for what appeared to be defective workmanship, they said paint warranties typically last only two years. This was the first time anyone had mentioned a warranty period to us. My question was simple: if the paint job had been done properly, why was the clear coat peeling only in the area they repaired, while the original paint elsewhere remained intact? Rather than addressing that concern, the owner repeatedly interrupted me and eventually said he didn't want to argue, that we needed to make a decision, and that he had to close up shop. That is an incredibly unprofessional way to handle a customer's legitimate concerns. The bottom line: We trusted them with an insurance repair, questioned the quality of their work from the beginning, and ended up with peeling clear coat and a $1,000 repair quote years later. Instead of taking ownership or working toward a reasonable solution, they wanted us to pay again. I can't speak for everyone, but based on our experience, I would not recommend this shop. If you value quality workmanship, honest communication, and a business that stands behind its work, I would take your car somewhere else.
