My car died on the grand central parkway.... it started and ran for 5 sec and then died. It was a pretty bad situation and my friend thought I was screwed because I had just picked up my car the previous day and already it's malfunctioning again!!! My friend recommended this repair shop so we towed it straight here. The boss guy, KK, looked under my hood and immediately pointed out the problem... something was loose. I just paid a shitload of money to Star (by utopia pkwy) the day before... and apparently the ppl at Star forgot to screw this thing back in so the whole shit was flying around and some tube got disconnected .. and thus my car died on the highway. KK guaranteed me 100% that this was why my car wasn't working. So I put my faith into KK, bc the price was good and I wasn't about to give Star Nissan/Subaru another arm and leg. About 15 minutes later, he started my car and it went back to normal. I highly recommend this shop. The diagnosis was fast and I will keep coming back because KK has earned my trust. This place is great. You go in for one thing and Kenny will fix that one thing. He won't say X is also going bad and needs to be replaced (unless there really is something). This is an honest place with fair prices. I have an older car and things need to be replaced as I put more and more miles on it. Been coming here over the years. Never failed to disappoint. Always left with my car looking like brand new. They even help wipe down my entire car leaving it all nice and shiny. Their work is always pretty fast, never took more than a couple days. Came here for mostly body work. Any cracks and dents, they usually can fix up pretty well. First visit: My entire right ride of my car was side swiped and torn up including the door and rear fender. They fixed it up like magic. Took about 4 days I think. This was my first time there and the owner was so incredibly nice, professional and courteous. From the bottom of my heart, I am so so grateful for him because without his generosity and willingness to help, my car would have been stuck out in Long Island for over 3 days and would have been a huge headache and inconvenience. Came here due to all the great reviews after I got into a small accident where I had to replace my bumper and fender. Because I need my car to get to work every day, I needed it to be repaired within 2 days that I'd taken off. My usual repair shop guy told me that he would need 3 days just in case. Boss was very friendly and assured me that he would take my car in the early morning and return it to me by the next afternoon. I dropped off my car on Friday morning and Boss even made a pinstriping appointment for Saturday morning so that I wouldn't have to come back to get that done. I made the trip to Flushing to have my car serviced by Boss, based on the many positive reviews he has garnered on Yelp. I admit I was drawn to Boss as a Chinese speaker, but I didn't need my Mandarin (Boss is an ex-Hong Konger anyway, so it was completely unnecessary). I was not disappointed I made the trip. Boss took the car in without having any booking and within one hour gave me a call to let me know it'd be ready within 30 minutes. I'd already walked 10 mins to downtown Flushing and settled into Starbucks, so I basically was in and out within 2 hours. Boss did an excellent 30K safety check-up, fixed this and that and told me what to expect at 35K. Price was fair (I paid with Visa) and the service was 5-stars. Highly recommended. read more

Boss Auto Center has the best service in the neighborhood in Flushing. The workers are friendly. The owner is very knowledgeable, skillful and helpful. Few months ago, I was involve in an accident. The Insurance company adjustor wants me to pay $1000 out of pocket meanwhile I have full coverage and the Officer who took the police accident report agree that the accident was not my fault. I have witness and even the other party admit fault and willing to take full responsibility. The insurance wants me to pay $1000 out of pocket without giving me full explanation. I told the boss of the this auto shop. He called the insurance company on my behalf. The adjustor called me back the very same day and change his statement and apologize to me. If you are looking for great service, perfect repair and inexpensive bills, boss auto center is the place. My car was hit from behind and was sent to 2 shops before boss auto center, both shop offered to have the whole plates replaced instead of a actual repair I was looking for. It will cost me ~$3000 if I went to either one of the 2. Instead, I decided to shop around for a more reasonable rate, that's when I found boss auto center. Boss Li is very friendly and extremely helpful when it comes to deal with the other parties insurance company. As I said, the bill wasn't much and I ended up spending less than half as much comparing to the previous 2 shops. My car looks as good as new. 5 stars. read more

I have struggled to find a good mechanic shop who's honest about their services and not trying to bring up more problems about your car when you bring your car for yearly inspection. I have been going to Boss Auto for several years but nothing major. Not until recently that I got in an accident that I truly began to appreciate the owner of Boss Auto. My accident happened around 7 pm and I was told by the police that my car is not safe to drive and it needed to be towed. I immediately contacted Mr. Li who's the owner during off hour and he thoroughly explained to me how I should towed my car to his shop to avoid high tow fees. Afterwards, we ordered all original parts for my car and my car was as if it's new again. I was a little worried about the alignment of the wheel since the impact of the hit was so hard on the front passenger side. My dad had warn me about some mechanic shops might not be able to fix it well and that my steering wheel won't be straight. This worried me the entire time while I drove a rental car. Once I got my car back, I couldn't believed what I saw and was so thankful that everything was fixed probably. It's a huge relief for me because now I have found a great mechanic shop that's not out there to only make money.
