I really wish it had a softer lighter bite but it lacked any sponginess. I realized quickly we would need some milk for coffee to wash it down. The icing was divine though. The caramel drizzle on mine was sweet but not overpowering an in perfect balance. I just really wish the cake itself had been better. I know people prefer different density in their cakes but I'm of the moist and spongy variety. Also the price is a bit high for the cupcake size especially given the quality. Service-10/10. It's counter service but the staff is welcoming and quick to assist. Atmosphere-10/10. Not too difficult to find amid a strip of stores. It's clean and cozy enough with nice seating options. The service and location were appealing but as it's not the type of cakes I enjoy I likely would not return .

The restaurant is a little on the smaller side but cozy. Service was super friendly as well! I ordered the following: Keto breakfast sandwich with bacon, egg, and cheese: 9/10 - it was so delicious oh my goodness! It was pretty huge too! You can have your choice of bread and I chose a flatbread. The egg was fluffy, cheese was melted, and the bacon was crispy. Who would have though the sandwich was entirely keto friendly too??? Keto cheesecake: 8/10 - I didn't know it was crustless but nonetheless, it was delicious. It had caramel, chocolate drizzle, and nuts on top of the cheesecake layer. The cheesecake itself was creamy and flavorful. They had plenty of carb friendly and keto friendly desserts like brownies, cakes, and cupcakes in their display. I've had their keto cupcakes before and it's kind of dense but it tastes good with not alot of the fake sugar aftertaste. Prices are reasonable for the quality of the food and desserts. I will be back to try other things for sure!

I've been to Metro Diner before. It was near downtown but it's been several years. I decided to…read morestop by for breakfast today as this location is near me. So that being said, let's dive in.. Food-6/10. I remember when Metro Diner was always doing unique dishes. The current menu feels standard diner and for the taste of the food, I'd rather pay the cheaper prices at other chain breakfast joints. I got the creme brûlée coffee which wasn't bad, but their cups are small and they don't fill them fully. That combined with the fact that when hey refill your cup it's with regular coffee is a bit disappointing. Though what truly disappointed was the fried chicken benedict. While the chicken was good, the poached egg was very under done and barely holding together and the yolk was quite cold. The hollandaise felt watery and lacked flavor. Meanwhile the home fries were a bit soggy instead of crisp. Service-9/10. My drink order was taken immediately as they seated me and brought quickly as well so I hadn't had a chance to look at the menu at all by the time she brought my coffee. I asked for a minute to get a look but then she didn't come back for quite a while. After placing my order she was gone for quite a while and I was longing for a coffee refill. I hadn't seen her in so long. I started to wonder if maybe she had gone home and someone else was going to be covering my area but hadn't made their way to me yet. Eventually, someone else brought my food out and they finally asked if I would like a refill on my coffee. Then a bit later she showed up to drop the check off. What was frustrating about this was that the restaurant was probably only half full. And despite that I struggled to be able to get a coffee refill. Atmosphere-4/10. The space feels like they just cram as many tables in as possible to get as many butts in the seat as possible. They take you into a middle table that you have to navigate through other seated people to get to and the spaces to navigate through are far too narrow. The noise levels inside are aggravatingly high. The music they're playing over their speakers is so loud that everybody is yelling to talk to the person across the table from them and be heard. And it just ends up everybody being louder and louder to be heard over the music. By the time I left, I had a throbbing headache. As far as the exterior, parking is a bit dreadful. Expect to have to park behind the building and walk to the front to enter. All in all, I can certainly say this was not the cozy breakfast experience. I had hoped it would be. It feels like at least this location has become overly commercial.

I personally love the breakfast more than anything else and will order breakfast for dinner as well. The pancakes are always a solid choice as they are nice and fluffy and a little crisp from the butter. The fact they have different syrup options including real maple syrup is also a plus for me. The meats can be over cooked or under cooked depending on the cook. This last visit they had a berry tea that was fantastic and our wonderful server gave us a cup to go as well. Service is usually pretty good. Unfortunately when it's busy, service can kind of lack. This last visit we were sat at a table that hadn't been cleaned by the hostess. There was hash browns and sausage on the floor and when the poor server saw this, she went to go get a broom to clean. She felt terrible. No one looked at the chairs though, which also had food, so I swept it on the floor. It was terrible, but I felt bad for the server as well. The store is fun to look around at, the biggest issue I have is that there is one line for paying your bill and for the store checkout. The line can be long and take quite some time. They recently added a barcode at the bottom of your receipt to pay online, however I don't think most of the crowd has noticed so the lines are long. Whether the service is hit or miss and the food cooked properly, Cracker Barrel offers something for everyone so all in your party can leave satisfied.

And, as a bonus, it's very conveniently located right off of I-95/295 and there's a gas station in the same parking lot. My favorite is the "Blueberry Waffle!" Skip all the rest. lol. Their Blueberry Waffle is unmatched in book by far!!!! The hash browns tend to be on point to. You can have the plain or add interesting ingredients such as jalapeño, onions and cheese. Not my thing, but it tend to be a popular choice based on my server's opinion. I order them plain. They were a bit undercooked for me but still very good at the same time.
