We live in Mandarin and regularly drive across the Buckman Bridge to eat here, which should tell you everything you need to know about how much we enjoy this place. The gyro salad is hands-down the best I've had anywhere. Fresh ingredients, generous portions, and incredible flavor every single time. It's the reason we keep coming back again and again. What really sets this restaurant apart, though, is the owner. He is consistently friendly, welcoming, and always greets customers with a smile. In a world where great customer service can be hard to find, it's refreshing to visit a place where you feel genuinely appreciated. Went to this Mediterranean restaurant on Kingsley in Orange Park. What a pleasant surprise. Overall the food was excellent. I had one of their many lunch platters (chicken or beef kabobs, Gyros,salmon or falafel ), consisting of an excellent chicken kabob that was wonderfully spiced and perfectly cooked. As sides (you get two) I chose steamed vegetables and baba ganoush. While the baba ganoush was excellent--fresh and wonderfully spiced-the steamed vegetables were obviously frozen and mushy. Next time I'll try the hummus, Greek salad or fries. Note that they also serve a variety of sandwiches including a variety of sized burgers, or your favorite Mediterranean meats . You can also get a number of salads and a full slate of breakfasts. While the restaurant is in a converted fast food restaurant and is sparsely furnished, it is comfortable and clean. The family that runs it provides fast and very friendly service as its obvious that they care about pleasing their customers. I stopped by King Kabab for a quick late afternoon lunch. The gyro was very tasty, generous with the meat and complete with all of the veggies. I enjoyed their version of hummus and pita bread, too. All of the items were so flavorful. I opted for their large French fries to share since my brother ordered the Chicken Kabab sandwich. My sandwich was perfect and filling. I ordered a 1/4 lbs. burger and a falafel sandwich for later. We like to eat family style where we get to share and taste a little bit of everything. Service was fast and friendly with the drive thru window convenient and efficient. They have a dining room inside if you opted to eat there. The portions are more than enough to share and very reasonably priced for the amount of food they give you. I will definitely be back to try their desserts and other menu items. Decided to grab some lunch to take home and this was right up the road from me. I got a gyro with fries and my wife got the Greek salad. It was only through sheer force of will that any of the fries survived the trip home. They were seasoned beautifully and had the perfect texture. Based on the quality of the fries, I couldn't wait to get home and dig into the gyro. It had exactly the right ratio of ingredients which allowed them all to belend into each bite. My dogs stared hopefully at me the whole time I ate but ended up very disappointed. My wife, not disappointed at all. She said that the salad was just what she was hungry for and surpassed her expectations. My first time here. Great choice of different food. Many people ordered burgers but I went there to try their Mediterranean food. Old time diner feel inside and very clean. I had the gyro meat and beef kebab with baba ganoush, pita bread and a Greek salad. Everything was fresh and extremely tasty. Great Greek salad that had plenty of veggies and feta cheese. Came to this small restaurant for lunch today because I was craving a gyro and not many places around me have them. The restaurant is small and was quiet at the time I came in. Given that it was so quiet everything was made fresh and brought to the table when it was ready. I ordered the gyro and fries. Sadly, this is where the average rating starts....the gyro meat was so salty I couldn't eat half of it. The fries are skin on with lovely seasoning which wasn't salty. Unfortunately because they were made fresh they hadn't been allowed to cook all the way and were limp when you picked them up. I had high hopes for this place, and it was a letdown. The Gyro sandwich was small and over priced.

Ordered online for pickup at 3:49pm yesterday (Saturday) & received an email that my order would be ready within 30 minutes. I started driving toward the restaurant right then since was coming from about 25 minutes away. 20 minutes into my drive, I received a call from Grubhub (who had processed the online order) stating that the restaurant had cancelled my order because they were closed. Their website (https://www.eatkingkabab.com/) as well as Yelp show that they are open until 7pm on Saturdays, so apparently they closed 3 hours early and allowed me to drive almost all the way there before notifying anyone. I would normally never leave a negative rating for a place I didn't get to try, but wasting someone's time and fuel is unacceptable. If your hours have changed, then update them online. read more

The food here is amazing. We love it so much that we make it a monthly stop after an appointment I have just down the street. We live an hour away, so it's only monthly, but we would go more often if we were closer. I look forward every month to stopping there after my appointment. About 3-4 years ago, we saw this place while driving home after my monthly doctor appointment, which is just up the street. We stopped and were so glad that we did. I usually get the falafel dinner with the Greek side salad and hummus. My son and husband get the chicken or steak kabab with a side salad and french fries (so good!!), or my son may get something different, like the egg on top of a burger over rice. I usually get the grape leaves as an extra side. All dinners/lunches come with 2 sides! The price for this dinner is really good for the amount you get. Good day, My complaint is regarding my order. I ordere a Gyro plate, and based on your picture, it should have been a sandwich; however, I got a few late of meat. As well, Ganash and pita bread was to come with the order, according to your description, but the Resturant says "no, only when you order it". If I have to order it, way say it comes with the order. Another, the grape leaves are greasy and the fries are cold and limp. The Resturant says that you Hubgrub, makes the descriptions, your descriptions and pictures are deceiving at best. As well, when I made an initial complaint via your chat, I was told that the problem had to be escalated and then nothing. I have never been to Vegas so I can't have the heart attack burger, but this is a really close second. This is THE 1LB Burger with all the fixens. Ketchup and Mayo on the table so you can add as much or as little as you would like. I ordered the fries also. They should really have a warning label with the 1lb burger. (**WARNING - Do not get fries is you order the 1lb burger!! **) That would have been generous. It was still a tasty burger and the fries were fresh and hot. The owners greeted us warmly and the place was clean with booth seating to dine in and smelled divine. We ordered Chicken Gyro's and a Greek Salad. They both were delicious! The meat was fresh and well seasoned and the pita was soft. The salad was crisp with all the right components; real kalamata olives, pepperoncini peppers. Thoroughly enjoyed and destroyed. The hummus had a weird aftertaste to it but I still liked it. The rice was very dry, I would probably try the french fries next time if I ever go again. I think they just heat up the pita bread because it didn't seem house made. I went through the drive thru and it took FOREVER. A huge pet peeve of mine is when places offer drive thru service but it's like you're in the restaurant at a table waiting. The cashier was very nice however and made sure my salmon was cooked well done. Food was prepared at time of order and was HOT when received. No salt or pepper needed; it was seasoned perfectly! He forgot to add cheese to my grits so he gave me an additional free of charge. Had a great lunch at King Kabab. They take time to explain the items on the menu. The restaurant was very clean and they quickly clean and sanitized everything when guest leave. First time I had the 2 meats lunch plate with chicken and beef kabab with rice and veggies. Both chicken and steak Kababs was very flavorful and tender. The briyani rice also tasty as well. The veggies on the other hand isn't fresh. You know frozen veggies when you taste them. I came back to tried the cheesesteak pita with fries, also very delicious and the steak seasoned very well.
