This hobby isn't like the Hobby Lobby. I'm used to back in LA and so it was quite difficult to fall in love with this one, particularly because I visited during the holidays, and there wasn't much stock quite frankly, and so it just kind of like disappointed me in the sunset. I have to probably travel to another Hobby lobby that it's a little bit more out of my way with more population surrounding it and so I'll probably run into the same issue. Parking is great in this location. I believe this Hobby Lobby is added as an adjunct to a mall or a shopping center in Hemet. I always come to hobby lobby for all my needs since I make a lot of things with my Cricut and constantly need things for my crafts. I was almost ready to check out by the entrance to the mall and the older lady Karla was being rude and trying to ignore the fact that we were standing there asking her if she was open. It's almost like we bothered her just being there, you could tell she did not want to help us the way she looked at us. We proceeded to ask if she knew if they had sand paper and she said no and then we asked again ok , but if she was open so we could check out. She rolled her eyes and said well yeah I'm open. So then I just said ok and started walking away because she was being rude and it was obvious she didn't want to help us. It is sad that people like Karla work at a store and are supposed to have great customer service to keep customers returning. With this experience I rather drive the 45 minutes to menifee to go to Michael's where I know I won't be disrespected. I tried to tell a manager I think his name was Bryan but he also did not seem to even care that the older lady Karla was being rude to customers. I'm surer happy to report that they are finally carrying some 3d filament at my local store. I've been reading online that they are going to start carrying more 3d printing items and I have been looking and asking every week or so, and today was the day. The ONLY Hobby Lobby I really go to! Since Hobby Lobby has a bad reputation for their questionable business practices and social justice standards, I severely limit my visits here. However, a friend of mine had a list of grad gift items so we had to pay this place a visit since Hobby Lobby had the artist items on her Grad wish list. Per usual, the staff is super friendly and the lady at the extra register near the mall entrance was super helpful and kind! At the regular, main entrance there's a lot of registers and lines are kept at a moderate level. I love that Hobby Lobby has toys, baking items, Funko merch, art supplies, decor and so much more! It just sucks that this company is alt-right. The store is pretty organized and I find exactly what I need every time I have to visit! There's plenty of parking out front! Oh and Hemet's Hobby Lobby is one of the LAST thriving stores at the Hemet Mall. It's understandable as you can find some solid deals here. read more

I called earlier in the day to find out if they had the 3 Ring binder Pencil Pouch listed on the Internet. I was put on hold and the gentleman said "yes" we have some. That afternoon I went to the Hemet store; asked employee who was stocking shelf where to find 3 Ring Binder. He said section where pencils and papers were-pointing me in a direction. I went to the area he pointed and found other types of pencil bags, not the one in the advertisement. I selected a few pencil holder bags. When I got to the cashier; she said these were not on sale. She paged an employee; he came up with a one page "ad" and said "no, the ones on sale are called Masters Touch. Again, I was directed to another section of the store. I didn't find the advertised bags on any shelves. I had to be somewhere else and couldn't look further. I ended up buying pencil bags-not of my liking. I believe this store personnel is incompetent. They don't want to help customers unless it is a high ticket item. I would never recommend this store to anyone. read more

My Mom wanted to stop by Hobby Lobby to see about getting a picture reframed. First I've got to mention how huge this store is! It's just in little ole Hemet, but not only is it huge, it's got all manner of things for crafts. We were directed to the back of the store where the frames were located. Rang the bell and out comes Madison. She is amazing, took a quick look at the broken frame and said she could repair it and fix it up with new glass. Within 15 minutes tops, she had the frame apart, put in new hardware, the glass, cleaned everything and put it back together just like new. My Mom is so happy with it as it's a very sentimental photo she can now rehang and enjoy. read more

I have decided to rate each hobby lobby I've been to in the State of California when it comes to finding the best deals: -- Firstly I want to add, they have a restroom. In fact, I never knew they had one after the years being here. If memory served me right they never had one.. that or I'm mistaking them with another hobby lobby and it might be a warehouse room. -- Now to the actual review itself. During Covid-19 the prices of air foam clay was 12.99.. I want you to realize I bought this clay at the bulk.. I bought in the bulk even when the prices were 12.99. In fact in 2020.. this was the first hobby lobby I bought materials from after having an epiphany, a eureka. -- From my memory, the leather at this location is normally priced. However, its air foam is the least expensive. I would also like to say that Faux Fur had decreased in price in this store, but I believe it is a standard price drop that is universal. Their chains are still 9.99 in this store (the ribbon section).. I am sure other items are cheaper that I don't talk about here.. This store is convenient for me because it's the closest one second to Banning and third being Temecula. Compared to Mira Mesa's Hobby Lobby, the leather at San Jacinto/Hemet is expensive. When I start making reviews about Mira Mesa's Hobby Lobby it may shock you... as it surprised me when I make trips all over the state of California.. the deals there were mind breaking. It made me realize a tough reality over the years. This means, San Jacinto, Temecula, Banning, and other areas in Oceanside may have similar prices; but may have certain huge deal drops that nobody knows about. Mira Mesa.. is one that is the cheapest. -- When it comes to service for this Hobby Lobby, I am starting to believe that management has changed. (I never interacted nor spoke with them, but it's an observation from 2018-2024) ... if anything, majority of the staff are new, with some who remained as the veterans of the hobby lobby. Also keep in mind that apparently each Hobby Lobby I've been to reflects their own culture/society regardless of Hobby Lobby's ideology. There are reasons why prices are the way they are and it reflects the location, the niche, and demographic aside from the fact "we need to sell this material now".. my theory is, the more they have of something and it sells a lot, they will sell it for cheap OR the product becomes old because not enough people buy it; such as certain cheap cosplay paints that they no longer sell. Every hobby lobby I've been to has stopped selling certain items. So you will notice this right away. -- So I advise you to purchase the expired stuff, as it can be refurbished if you understand basic color theory. -- read more

Normally they have very good customer service but on Friday, May 27, 2022 at 10:19am the service was horrible. Long lines and finally the person who appeared to be a front end manager called someone to check. But the checkstand they opened was way over by the mall entrance and I am handicapped. The young girl who appeared to be a manager had very long fingernails and she just stood at the front end doing nothing. Why couldn't she open another register? I was a grocery store manager and many times I was in the checkstand helping out until the rush was over. This is a business that stands on faith and is closed on Sundays, carries random reasonably priced merchandise. But this Hemet location is run like a dollar store. They follow you around which is creepy and they announce over the loud speaker for loss prevention to scan a section. Today May 3rd, my father who is a veteran asked me to take him to Hobby Lobby in Hemet . I couldn't believe what happen. He started doing Shadow Box and was excited to go to the frame dept. With memorial day coming up he wanted to also frame a beautiful battalion group photo. I can never get him out of the house. I went shopping in the mall. A few minutes later he found me,said framing was closed. I never heard of this!!He showed me this picture. So that spoiled it for him! This is a great Hobby Lobby! It is very large and extremely clean. Our cashier Marlene was very sweet and extremely helpful. The staff has a good knowledge of where their products are. I love their Cricut section! The candy section needs more LorAnn flavors but they have the basics. I was very happy with the customer service here. Thanks for a great experience at my favorite store! I wish there were more classes available, but the can only offer what people agree to do. Currently they have a quilting class on Friday mornings at 9:00am. I may have to check that out. I have always wanted to make one. Mary is the facilitator for the quilting class. The price is $25.00 per project, how fast or slow you are makes no difference. This class is for beginners but they use sewing machines, it is not done by hand. I guess I know what I want for Christmas . I've never been so shocked at how an employee talked to a customer. I was returning items and there were 4 plates I had. The cashier that I purchased my items from apparently didn't scan the plates. They weren't on the receipt. So, Jose said he would give me credit. I said, the lady wrapped them up. He said he wasn't accusing me of anything but they were giving me "free money". He began to raise his voice, IN the store. I told his to shh because it was weird and embarrassing and I did the down motion with my hand. He got pissy and raised his voice again. I told them I didn't want "free money" and they can just have the plates. So, they got their plates back. Jose was out of line. I spoke to the manager, and you know how that goes, nothing will likely be said. I will most definitely be contacting corporate in regards to Jose's attitude and shocking behavior. I was shaking. I will no longer be going to the Hobby Lobby in Hemet. I hope Jose gets himself in check and no one else has to deal with him. It's not fun to walk out of a store shaking. Good job Jose. read more

Been shopping here since they opened. Great place for home décor items, we've decorated our house with quite a few items from here. I always find it easier to pick up a last minute gift here as well. Don't buy too much in their paper crafting section, which is my hobby, just prefer the selection at Michael's. Always good holiday décor selections, except Halloween that's just downright pitiful, but the rest of the holidays I can always find good items. Employees were friendly and helpful, anytime I've needed assistance. Good place to kill some time, there is tons of things to browse.
