I came into the shop last week and was met with a very nice man in the train department. We had a great talk about printing and layouts of my SciFy set. I went back to talk about the deal on a particular nscale train we had talked about today. The store has a great selection, bar none. I'm into L3 rockets, drones, etc as well... BUT.... here comes the part about customer service. The nice man I talked with last week was out and only appears to work on Mon, Wed and Friday. Today, (Thursday) the "whatever" manager that came to me was rude, acted like I was a bother. I said that I had talked to another person he was willing to make a deal. He then said MAP price only and abruptly turned around and walked away from me, not even giving me a chance to respond. I had cash and was willing to work the price to what he had, but never had the chance with his horrible attitude. If you are going to treat customers like this, you probably won't be around much longer. So now, I will endup getting the train on Ebay. Sadly, This is why people end up at Amazon and Ebay. You want to talk to a human and get treated like this. I was going to plug the shop on my youtube channel and also plug it in an upcoming magazine spot.., but.... Sorry, but that was a horrible way to treat a customer and won't be happening. read more

Wow! Dynamic Hobbies has the largest selection of plastic models, HO and Lionel O Gauge trains, gas powered planes and remote controlled toy cars, I have seen under one roof! And.... I haven't even gotten to their two huge train layouts. I started coming here a few weeks ago and met with Bob, one of the owners. Over forty years, I collected many HO model trains and buildings. Some were rare, but most were European and UK in variety. I was taken aback by his huge selection. I took lots of photos, so I'll let you decide if it's worth a trip to Hemet and the Inland Empire. For me, it was a rare find and I can see many hours of my retirement coming here. But there is no way you can come here and not leave with a little something special. I May be wrong but i believe this place is locally owned and operated. It's definitely been around FOREVER and has TONS of hobby shop supplies for the average RC snob, train connector, sky flyer, helicopter enthusiast, rock crawler, race car, etc. Dynamic Hobbies probably has the key to the doorway that you haven't been able to open, so give them a chance. They are literally right on the corner of Santa Fe and Florida. There are plenty of things to do for kids. Yes they can get expensive, but the cheaper stuff is cool too! I ordered some parts for my sons RC car about 4 months ago and we got side tracked and went in today to get them and they were still there, ready to go for us! Thanks guys! read more

Great family owned business! Always feel welcome when we are in town! I am overdue for a visit

Had a good time walking through the shop. In the back there is an o scale train layout with a few different trains on the track that one of the nice employees was able to run two of the trains around the layout. I was there in hopes of finding more o scale trains and scenery but unfortunately I got there too late because they had moved into selling HO and n scale. There's a nice selection of RC planes, cars and boats. I was able to pick up a plastic model that I'll get to enjoy this weekend. The people there are very friendly and knowledgeable. They do repair trains, but I'd call first to make sure if their person can repair your scaled train. To the gentleman who ran the trains. I truly appreciate it. I had a nice time watching those go around the layout and seeing the detail put into each of the buildings. Thank you again. read more

I called for drone frames, and they said they only sell drone parts. lol ummm you can't build a drone without its frame. So, when I asked where can I buy a frame, he said "I don't know". I have visited this store a number of times over the past two years, and have been pleased every time. All of the employees that I've interacted with were friendly, the atmosphere, relaxed. It's also lovely when a shop has one or more animal companions/de facto mascots, and these folks have a gorgeous feline (whose companion - a dilute calico - passed away in June 2022). I live some +/- 30 miles away, but am in this part of Hemet a few times a year. I always look forward to visiting and supporting independent shops, and these folks are no exception. I'm willing to wait for them to order a product and/or have it in stock (the former of which I have done, and am waiting for the kit's arrival). Support independent shops! Even *if* their prices are a bit higher, PAY the extra amount in order for them to keep in business! read more

I used Dynamic hobbies as a kid 30 years ago and they were the best around. I was recently able to go by with my kids and they are still great. They were able to figure out my rc car in only a few minutes and didn't even charge me for the fix. Will defiantly be supporting them in the future. I called ahead of time to find out if they had a product I needed. The guy who answered the phone assumed I was asking for "spray on glue" what I was actually looking for was "Mr.SuperClear" sealing spray or anything like it. He said they don't have anything like that. So I asked about a brush on gloss and he repeated the same thing "we don't have spray on glue" I was getting annoyed but didn't want to give up, so I asked about clear sealing spray and he FINALLY said "yes we have something like that here." I then followed up with "are you guys taking appointments or walk-ins today?" He said they were taking walk-ins and keeping it at a "minimum and are doing a quick turnaround". When I arrived, the time store was PACKED. Some folx weren't wearing their masks, no one was 6 feet apart, they were absolutely not keeping that place at a minimum for safety standards. No one helped me but I found something similar to what I was looking for on my own. Customer service over the phone and in store was awful with the exception of the poor old guy at the cash register who clearly needed a break for some water. I would not go back there. read more

I am starting an HO Train layout, went to Dynamic Hobbies and talked to Bob for about an hour, even though he was very busy he took the time to answer all my questions, give me advice, and recommend that I talk to Jim. I came in another day and talked to Jim who is very knowledgeable on anything to do with trains. Same thing they were very busy and Jim talked to me for about an hour and a half. This hobby store is always busy but they always have time to treat you like you are the only customer there. Plus their prices are pretty much inline with online prices. Great store, great employees.
