I am starting an HO Train layout, went to Dynamic Hobbies and talked to Bob for about an hour, even though he was very busy he took the time to answer all my questions, give me advice, and recommend that I talk to Jim. I came in another day and talked to Jim who is very knowledgeable on anything to do with trains. Same thing they were very busy and Jim talked to me for about an hour and a half. This hobby store is always busy but they always have time to treat you like you are the only customer there. Plus their prices are pretty much inline with online prices. Great store, great employees. I've been coming to dynamic for about 20 years. Bob and everyone there has always be friendly and helpful. When I lived in hemet I'd be in about once a week (I used to crash alot). Now even though I live in redlands, I still occasionally make the drive down to get what I need. Most of the time they have exactly what I'm looking for, if they dont they at least have something I can make work, and if all that fails they can get what you need pretty quick. If you are even remotely close and getting into hobbies, check them out. read more

Been in the RC airplane hobby for over 30 years. When I was a child , living in Cudahy CA there was a little hobby shop at walking distance from my home. I would get lost in the back of the store looking at all the displays and items for sale. Dynamic Hobbies is the same shopping experience. I drive about 20 miles to shop here. Totally worth the drive to experience a hobby shop that is a perfect example of what a hobby shop should be. Sometimes there are other customer fellow modelers that share years of experience wisdom. I probably visit Dynamic Hobbies at least once a week and perhaps more. I fly RC airplanes and I am usually able to get the parts and supplies I need without the hassle of ordering online and paying the shipping charges. Dynamic Hobbies is what I consider a large store with a ton of inventory. It is a "classic" style hobby shop. They specialize in RC planes and cars as well as trains. They also have people working there who are experienced flying RC planes and I often call there to get advice. They service what they sell. The owner, Bob Parcell, is a great guy and I have found that he will bend over backwards to help you out or get the parts you need. The hobby store business is tough given that it has to compete with online sales. I have always found the prices at Dynamic Hobbies to be in line with the lowest available online. I would hate to see a local hobby shop like this one go out of business so I buy things there whenever I have the option. I also feel a personal obligation to buy something from someone who has taken the time to give me advice. I feel like that is the only fair thing to do. read more

First time visiting Dynamic Hobbies on Monday and the service was outstanding . I was looking for a plane to put together and Bob walked me over to the section and showed me what he had . He also made suggestions for paint for the specific model I selected which I appreciated. I've been in alot hobby stores and most employees point to the section you need to go to. I'm a mode railroader and this store has never let me down. If it's not in stock, talk to Bob! He'll let you know if he can get it and his prices are extremely competitive. Totally worth the drive for me, and Bob has ordered things I've needed at those competitive prices I spoke of. This is really a wonderful hobby store. I especially loved their railroad train section. They have an extensive collection of freight and passenger cars, landscape and track. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and able to impart technical expertise. They also repair locomotives and rolling stock. FYI: there is a railroad club that meets once a month on the property. I don't want to give the impression that this is just a railroad train shop, they also have a huge inventory of other hobby pursuits. read more

I'm only an occasional customer, but I love stopping by if to do nothing but watch the trains. They have a room in the back dedicated to a large train display which they will run on request (if not already running). Although most of the hobbies there are geared toward boys and men, they will spend ample time with me to help with whatever project I want to work on. Best Hobby Shop Ever! I have been shopping at Dynamic Hobby for 15 years. I am so impressed with the wide selection of items "something for everyone" and the customer service is 2nd to none. I am deeply invested in R/C aircraft and off road vehicles. If they don't stock it they can get it. I always check here first to make a purchase, over the years I have found Dynamic is less expensive than other local shops for the same products. I also know first hand Bob the owner and his wonderful wife Mel stand behind what they sell. They carry the latest amd coolest products available and on occasion have had to warranty an item or two. No fuss here. Always professional and done in an expedited fashion. I also enjoy coming in and seeing the aircraft hung throughout the store for sale on consignment. Or just to watch the huge multiple scale train layout run. I always joke about how Dynamic is the Barbershop of the millennium. It has become a place where hobbiest can gather & interact, spend their money while still receiving personalized expert service. Owner Bob is very active in the business not like so many other businesses got everything you need and if they don't he will get it quickly and at a reasonable cost. This is the best hobby store I've ever been to. It's not large and it's kind of out of my way but their stock is incredible and their prices are great. I looked on the internet first and then went to the store. The prices at Dynamic were the same or less and I didn't have to wait for a week for it to be delivered. I have also found that if I want something that they don't have in stock, they will order it for me so I don't have to pay shipping charges. When you're buying a 5 dollar part and shipping is 10 bucks, that really sucks. This has saved me a lot of money. The staff are extremely knowledgable. The owner does seem to be overwhelmed at times due to the number of customers wanting his personal attention. It's well worth the wait to have him help you though. The man knows his stuff and he doesn't over-sell you things you don't need. He's told me several times, "you don't need that" and then explained how to use parts I already have. Neat little store that covers a variety of hobbies... Except tabletop games. If you're looking for that, you're best bet is at a half an hour drive in SoCal Games and Comics. But if you like model cars, planes, trains, RC models and dioramas, this is right up your alley. They have a good amount of supplies too. read more

This store is GREAT! I was in town visiting my in-laws for Thanksgiving and ran by the Dynamic Hobbies store with my kids. It wasn't until we got all the way back home in Northern California that we realized that my son left his wallet in the store (with all of his life savings - about $30). When Bob found it he called us to let us know it was there, and then went above and beyond in my book...he paid to have it mailed to our home. We received the wallet a few days later with everything in-tact, money and all! This kind of honesty and integrety is refreashing and my book should be rewarded with good business. I just read the review someone wrote a few years ago, and all I can say is, maybe there was a reason they were ignored. I just walked in there today for the first time, and received INCREDIBLE treatment. And mind you, I wasn't there to shop. I was merely a lookie-loo killing time with my kids, and still received outstanding service. Not only was I receiving excellent attention and treatment, but everyone else in the store was as well. Since I was a kid, I've wanted to build my own model train set, complete with scenery. I decided to stop in there to see if they had anything like that, as well as the stuff required to build it. What I found was a room that covered more than half the store that was one VERY LARGE train system that the owner built himself. He actually turned it on and ran it for my kids' amusement, and was happy to answer any and all questions I had about the trains, as well as the R/C planes. Because of him, I will be taking my kids out tomorrow morning to watch a club they belong to fly R/C planes. This place is awesome, and I will definitely be back. read more
