Got into the hobby earlier this year. These guys have always been very friendly and accommodating when I was still learning and new to everything. Last week had a problem with on of the servos I purchased from them and they quickly got me a great deal on a much better one. Super impressed with their customer service. They made it right. Amazon is convenient but their prices are either the same or even cheaper. Support your locals people. Thanks guys!

This was the broken piece that they tried to make me buy a $72 MIP upgrade because, "Traxxas is low on replacement parts".

I'm from out of town and was visiting my parents. I stumbled upon this place and I was very disappointed. I have a Traxxas Slash with a broken my axle boot. I tried explaining to the gentleman what I needed and I even said I have the car with me so I can show him. He said no need, I know what you need. Since I'm a little older he probably thought that he can get me for a complete set of MIP CVDs and even recommended I get new bearings. Come on guy I'm just trying to get my car running again. Well needless so say I went home and immediately went to Tony's Hobbies in La Puente and spent $6 to get my car running. The service at Tony's Hobbies was so impressive I ended up buying. TRX4 Defender without any pressure at all. I don't recommend this place because my experience was that they were trying to upsell me from a $6 part to $71 upgrade. I guess they thought I was my wearing sucker hat.

Thank you for helping my husband find the perfect RC base to create a little Traxxas Slasher dune buggy for our boy. His celebration week was full of joy and this was the icing on the cake. Link really got to feel like he was running one more time. Thank you for being so helpful and caring.

I promise you this is your one stop shop for RC cars and parts. Staff is very knowledgeable and very helpful. I was greeted at the doors with hello's and good mornings. I could spend all day looking around.

It used to feel like a chill hole in the wall full of cool people, now it feels very cold and depressing. The layout feels less intuitive to navigate, too but that's more of a nitpick. I used to play Digimon here between 2021 and 2023. They were generally fun and the players were mostly great, aside from the tourists who were only playing because they're mad at Magic and Pokemon, but that's not a conversation for a Yelp review about this store. My one complaint was how a lot of the employees were super elitist about it because it wasn't a popular "real" card game. Not even just saying that, an employee once straight up said I should "graduate to a real card game". I don't remember which employee it was, but the lack of self awareness of someone talking down to someone over TCGs astounds me. I remember two players having a ruling issue during a Digimon tourney and the same employee proctoring the games was very insulting and irritated the whole time, rolling his eyes, complaining and saying he didn't "understand this crap". It's bad enough that an employee does not know the rules of games they are proctoring at a game shop that's hosting the tournaments, but to have such a crappy demeanor? I know geeks are socially challenged, I'm not an exception to this but ffs try, it's your job man. Absolutely not something that makes you wanna come back. I briefly switched to SoCal Games and Comics (now Sanctum) after that, but my issue with that shop was the playerbase, not the employees. I've had some employees not know what they're doing regarding bonus packs that come with booster boxes before, and at least twice have had ones not given to me despite me visibly seeing them in stock. If you work at a game store you should know what releases come with what. That said, there was one employee who was excellent about it and props to him. That guy played Digimon, though, so that's likely why he knew what he was doing. Anyway, I still shop here from time to time but I don't really have a reason to come back now that they've stopped hosting Digimon tournaments in lieu of One Piece (Bandai treats the properties similarly!), which is fine considering the poor judging/proctoring. One Piece probably comes off more like a 'real' card game so best of luck and all. That event really left a bad taste in my mouth about this place, unfortunately. I will say the prices are good, they don't inflate them like other card shops do.

Good space to play games and host events! The staff was friendly and willing to help in trying to…read morelocate specific games in their library that were for sale. You should never leave without investing in something, especially when they help you out for free. They did not have to do that. They could've lied and said my Traxxas needed to be repaired. So they gained a customer for life.

I rearranged my schedule and made time to come back based on what your staff told me. When I arrived today, I was told they still weren't out yet. When I asked if there was anything they could do since I was specifically instructed to come back at that time, the employee at the front basically acted indifferent and just said there was nothing they could do. I've been in retail for years, and entering inventory into a system is not some massive impossible task. This honestly came across as laziness and a complete lack of concern for customer satisfaction. Don't tell customers to come back at a specific time if you're not actually prepared to follow through. Traffic and gas prices in Southern California are terrible. People are spending real time and money to come support your business, so at least be considerate of that when making promises to customers. I understand inventory processing takes time, but communication and effort matter. A simple apology or attempt to help would have gone a long way. The store is large and packed with product, but there also weren't many customers there, which makes the lack of urgency even more frustrating. The owner should seriously consider improving management and customer service standards because experiences like this are exactly why customers stop coming back.
