I like this place! Found some cool artwork I picked up for my new place. I find that they have some things that Michaels doesn't which makes sense for them to even exist. I would say where they beat Michaels is with home decor. I think they are both pretty similar with the majority of their product line. But if I had to decorate a new place that had nothing on the walls or shelves, i'd pick Hobby Lobby. If I had to set up an art studio for fine art, i'd pick Michaels. Hope that helps, I included pictures of what I bought at this hobby lobby. Pricing was good due to a sale I took advantage of.

Enter at your own creative risk. This place is Disneyland for DIY projects and craft-a-holics. There were rows and rows and rows of scrapbooking supplies, yarns, ribbons, floral items and much, much, much more. Each area was nicely arranged by category. Christmas items were 40% off. We were on a wedding ceremony & reception mission. There were lots of ribbons, floral supplies and all things wedding! Nothing was out of place. We were able to check off lots of our decorating "to do" list from this store. If I weren't flying, I would have bought more items.

Front of the store at night! Ready or not, here comes my platinum Visa!

I'm a huge Hobby Lobby fanatic. BIG TIME. I went to their stores for years in Utah and when they opened up the first store in WA in Lynnwood I lost my mind. I came to the Everett store for the first time and enjoyed the visit. This store is smaller compared to the other Hobby Lobby locations in the greater Seattle area and is actually the smallest one I've ever been to. Still, they have a good selection. They have a good selection of material, floral, and seasonal items. They also have a great supply for scrapbooking, card making, wood working, painting, framing, jewelry making and miscellaneous things like kids projects, story boards, and party supplies. In addition, they have a good variety of household goods for decorating or use in a wedding such as candles, vases, candlesticks, letter sorters, mirrors, pictures, signs, and much more. Custom framing is always 50% off! They can do it for you while you wait in about 1 hour or you can drop it off and come back in about a week. They have sales all the time. Check out the sign posted near the entrance to see what's on sale when you visit. They also have a stack of flyers to take and use while shopping or take home. I dislike their website; it's pretty much stuck in 1999 so not the best for online shopping. Hobby Lobby has an app for your phone that gives you 40% one item any freaking time! Use it! Classes are also available. Learn how to decorate a cake or paint with acrylics. Remember that Hobby Lobby is closed on Sundays and they close at 8 PM - different than all other retailers that typically stay open till 9 pm and are open daily. This is to give their people a day of rest with their families and to make sure folks aren't working late at night. I find that refreshing.

Ban hobby lobby Bad business. Prices are terrible, everything is cheap and from China. Couldn't find what I needed.

Big fan of Hobby Lobby. They have great sales and awesome clearance items regularly. However, some standard items are overpriced.

I'm so happy that Hobby Lobby made it to San Diego! I purchased many items there for my daughter's wedding.

They always have 40% percent off coupons online which is awesome. And they have everything. Amazing place for crafty people.

I am not a crafter by a long shot, but I spent such a fun hour or so in this store that I decided they deserved the kudos.

Two workers in the hardwood flooring area completely ignored us the whole 45 minutes we were there. We finally flagged down a 3rd person who attempted to help us. He warned us that he had only been working there for 3 weeks and would grab somebody if we had questions he couldn't answer. But as we asked questions, it became abundantly clear that he was content with making answers up instead of getting somebody who knew what they were talking about. He initially didn't know the difference between site-finished and pre-finished hardwood floor until we described it to him. He couldn't explain how to tell which floor options had bevels between the boards and at one point claimed that a specific example floor only "looked like it had bevels because it was hanging vertically for the display" (obviously a completely wrong answer as you could see the individual boards had bevels on them). At one point, he told us that if we wanted to a site-finish floor then we could install a pre-finished board, completely strip it, and then re-finish it with the finish we wanted. I understand he was new but he never once actually went to get anyone else and confidently stood by all of his answer. He should NOT have been interacting with customers on his own as he clearly had no idea what he was talking about. And the cherry on top is that this whole conversation occurred within earshot of two other employees who never once offered their input, help, or correction. The complete lack of customer service and flooring knowledge is unacceptable and we will never be going back to this location or any other.

So, it required a special order. When it came in, Chris helped me check it out, and load it. Still, we were immediately disappointed shortly after to realize that if we were to purchase it directly through Ashley Furniture, the couch, ottoman, and delivery would cost over $6,000, which is more than we could justify spending after buying a house. Then, last week, I came across an ad on Facebook from Modern Home Furniture, showing the exact couch I'd fallen in love with, but for only $2,695. I wondered, what's the catch? Is it used or damaged? It seemed too good to be true, so I went to the store, skeptical but curious. The owners were incredibly kind and explained that they could offer these prices because of their reduced overhead. Reassured, I decided to go for it and ordered the couch. They initially told me it would take 2-3 weeks, but I was pleasantly surprised when they called only five days later to schedule delivery for that weekend, meaning my couch arrived within just one week from purchase. The delivery team was great; they set up the couch, removed all the packaging, and left everything looking perfect. As promised, the sofa came with tags from Ashley Furniture and all the warranty information. My experience was fantastic, and it's disappointing to see some negative reviews because I've been telling all my friends and family about this incredible find. I got my dream couch for half the cost, and after seeing it, my parents are ordering one, too! Thank you, Modern Home Furniture. We'll be back!

The Shark…read morehas been fine, it's needed a brush replacement and plenty of filter replacements and cleanings as it's bagless, but it's just not really keeping up with our two dogs and current lifestyle. Amanda greeted me right away and started getting information on what I was looking for, what machine I have currently, aspects of my house layout that might impact my decision, etc. My own research on what to get next led me to SEBO, and Amanda demo'd both the Felix (which is what I was originally thinking would be a good fit) and the E3 (which ended up being a better fit and what I ended up going with). The E3 has been amazing. It doesn't try to sell you with all kinds of gimmicky technology, sensors, systems, etc. It has just enough to make sure I am at the right brush height, don't have anything stuck, and can alert me to when the bag needs changing. The SEBO does as well in one pass as the Shark would do only after I took a rubber broom to loosen up all the embedded dog hair, and it can get all the way under furniture my Shark had no chance to get under because it can lay practically flat. And the kicker? It's even quieter than the Shark. I never thought I'd be spending four-digits on a vacuum cleaner but, like with my Herman Miller office chair, this is one of those buy once, cry once kind of things (or at least buy once every decade or more kind of things). The warranty is fantastic and knowing I can just bring it to my closest Quality S&V location for service is even better. No futzing with online claims, no shipping, no waiting for contractors to come out, I can just bring it in locally. Thanks Amanda, and thanks Quality Sewing & Vacuum! :)
