I went here for some art supplies and their selection was ok but i came across a dead mouse on a shelf while picking out paint. eek! not surprising, if you look into the shelves past the first one or two items the place is very dusty and dirty. i wouldn't be surprised if this causes health hazards. if you have allergies or asthma, DO NOT SHOP HERE. also, there was only one clerk working a register. i couldn't find anyone on the sales floor to report my dead rodent find. and the lines were loooooong. i won't be back! read more

This chain of stores just has tons of cheap crap. I used to go there for primer / paint but after not being able to even find a natural hair brush i gave up. I go to michaels down the road now. They have far less junk crucifixes laying around so there is more room for actual supplies. Plus michaels takes smart phone coupons from their online site. read more

I recently bought some paint brushes from hobby lobby in everett. Come to find out they contain lead and cause cancer and reproductive harm. (This information cleverly placed on the back/bottom of the product. I tried to exchange for a less harmful paintbrush only to have to wait and wait and wait for various reasons (the tellers needed manager approvals and special codes given to them to do anything in their system apparently) and then they try to only refund half the value of the product I purchased. This place is a corporate joke and a bureaucratic nightmare and they tried to give me cancer. NEVER AGAIN WILL I SHOP HERE. read more

Big fan of Hobby Lobby. They have great sales and awesome clearance items regularly. However, some standard items are overpriced.

My family and I come here often and we always spend more money than we wanted to. From cub scout stuff to framing to home decor, hobby lobby, mostly, has you covered. The fact that they're Christian owned is a big draw for us. They only get four stars because the staff can be a little teen and sometimes difficult to find. It's a big store though, so maybe that's to be expected. I recommend it to anyone. read more

It's a Great store to go to for Holiday Decorations! But when I go there I feel really uncomfortable staying because there is a security guard or cop that walks around the store watches everything you do, and will start making you feel uneasy! If you do go, don't spend to long there or they might think your going to steal something! read more

Yikes! I love what Hobby Lobby offers in terms of products. That is still true. Unfortunately, I am not impressed with the staff, particularly in the framing department. I had a huge picture framed (spent a lot of money is my point) and when I came to pick it up the associate literally stared at me and heaved a huge sigh before shuffling off to get it for me. She handed it to me without one word even after I said thank you. She just walked away. I was close to asking her what her problem was, and if there was a reason she was being so rude. But no answer would have justified it, so I decided not to. read more

They always have 40% percent off coupons online which is awesome. And they have everything. Amazing place for crafty people.

This is really disappointing because I LOVE Hobby Lobby. The store. NOT the customer service. The selection is fabulous. The prices are great! If something is not on sale one week, I can wait a week or two and it'll cycle around to being on sale. If I need it right away and can not wait for the sale, I use the 40% off coupon online. Speaking of, something frustrating with the coupon is sometimes my phone does not pull up the website so I'll print off the coupon at home. Well, hobby lobby then keeps my coupon! Why can't I use it for later in the week? (Yes, I go to hobby lobby more than once a week.) It's not like they can take the coupon off your phone so I don't get why they need to keep the paper coupon? Anyway... here's the real issue I had the other day while shopping. While some reviews complain about there not being enough staff, there were a ton of staff this day. (Which was a Tuesday afternoon) I feel like every time I go in, the staff is SO unprofessional. There was a ton of freight out on the floor and two women (in their 40's.. so they should know better) were stocking the shelves. I was trying to go down one aisle that was blocked by a cart full of merchandise and the employee. I said Excuse me. And she jumped out of my way and joked to her coworker that "maybe today is the day they'll fire me! hahaha" the other coworker said nooo! They were shouting the to one another from other aisles. As I walked to another section of the store, two female employees were complaining about only 2 people working the entire floor on a saturday and how it was ridiculous. I walked by them with my cart and they did not acknowledge me, nor stop their conversation. Then, when I was at the check out line, I had purchased maybe 6 items and two of them were on sale. I typically pay attention to when they ring up my items because 80% of the time (literally), they will not ring up my sale items. I walked out the store and then realized she did not ring up my items on sale. No big deal. So I went back inside and waited in line again (for probably 5 minutes because only one girl was checking) and I told her I thought two of the items were on sale. The woman says she didn't give me any of my discounts because she "only works 3 days a week" and wasn't aware of the sales. Even though the sales sheet is right in front of her. She starts to do the return and a male employee walks over and says "You look tired today". I almost thought he was talking to me, but he was talking to my cashier. They then proceed to talk about why she is so tired and how her cat meows if she doesn't let it into her room and then will meow because it's stuck in her room. Then the manager finally comes up to authorize the transaction and instead of them stopping their conversation, she chimes in too. So the three of them are having a conversation while I'm standing there, just trying to get my discounts. I worked in retail for 5 years and was an assistant manager for 3 of those years. I always trained my sales associates to never carry on conversations with one another while ringing up customers because 1. it is awkward for the customer and 2. it's rude and unprofessional. I understand chit chatting while working. Of course people are going to do that because that's what makes work more bearable and fun! But these employees need to watch what they say or maybe AT LEAST ask customers how they are doing while engaging with other staff members. read more

This store is so deceitful they jack up their prices and then put everything on sale so we "think" we are getting a good deal. Also I asked for a manager to inquire about a product to see if they were going to carry it, I was directed to a heavier blonde women in maybe her thirties, she acted too put out to help me and just looked like she had given up on life and was no help. read more

I recently waited in line for hours at Safeco field to get a Nelson Cruz autograph on a replica helmet. I then went to hobby lobby to see if they sold something that could protect the signature since I planned on wearing the helmet to games. They sold me a Krylon spray that they said would work. I believed them because they are supposed to know the products that they are selling. I took the product home and applied it to the signature(I should have tested it first but I'm not an expert, which is why I went to hobby lobby and asked). It immediately took the signature off the helmet. I contacted hobby lobby and they talked to me a couple times and then completely stopped and haven't done anything to right this wrong. I'm now out a signature that is worth hundreds of dollars and that I waited a very long time to get. And I most likely won't receive another one. I won't be shopping at hobby lobby any longer, especially since there's a michaels up the street. read more

Got dragged here by my sister because Michaels didn't have what she needed for yet another "project" and lasted about 10 minutes before fleeing. Overwhelming stench of plastic/adhesive/China-made crap almost made the air unbreathable and the most offensive "in-your-face" Ubër Christian assault on your senses forced me out. I respect other people's beliefs but, in the business world, I cannot and will not subject myself to a "sermon" when trying to spend my money. My sister asked where I went and ,when I explained , left without purchasing anything. They do have a very large selection of EXTREMELY low quality items for those desiring a sub-WalMart level of goods. Buyer beware. read more

I am not a crafter by a long shot, but I spent such a fun hour or so in this store that I decided they deserved the kudos. I wanted to fill a vase with silk flowers. I was amazed at the huge selection and had a great time making my arrangement, flitting back and forth, trying this then that. So nice to be able to "try" before I buy. Plus I am a perfectionist, so this took much time, experimentation, and concentration -- I was relieved that I didn't have store personnel standing over me all the time. I do most of my shopping online, but I never would have been able to make such a satisfying arrangement by picking my flowers unseen. I also enjoyed perusing the home décor. This store is a delight! And the thrills weren't over when I checked out -- I found that everything was at a deep discount! (And the check-out clerk was a sweetheart.) I don't live anywhere near this store, but I'll be back. read more
