Oh my goodness goodness gracious! This place is truly a quilter's paradise. I had never even heard…read moreof it before, but was passing through Snohomish recently and, of course, my car swerved into their parking lot as soon as I passed by. Downstairs, the place is about half fabric and half classrooms of various sizes. The fabric area is mainly quilting cottons, with a decent selection of patterns, and a recently-updated yarn area for the knitting and crochet crowd. They carry most of the main fabric designers for quilting, as well as batiks, holiday prints, and tons of solids and mixers. Accessories include any ruler, tool, or notion you could possibly need for quilting; plus they have sewing-inspired gifts, too. Upstairs, there are more classrooms (including a pay by the hour longarm rental room) and a large Bernina showroom. This area also has more patterns, as well as bagmaking supplies. The supply selection here is pretty good - lots of zippers, d-rings, etc. However, as with most things bagmaking, there just didn't seem to be enough stuff to satisfy my cravings for things like printed vinyl, waterproof canvas, rainbow zippers, etc. The sad truth for bagmakers is that it's hard to find a local option to shop these things; I end up buying most of my supplies online or at the Sew Expo. That being said, if you're a beginning bagmaker I'm sure you would find their supplies more than adequate. The staff I encountered were friendly and helpful, too - I was a little nervous about this after reading previous reviews, but I had no issues with service. I ended up buying a quilt pattern book and a really cool fabric-focused wall calendar that I can't wait to start using in January. I'll definitely be coming back here, and I hope to take a class or two in 2025.

Instead of walking over to look at the product--despite being only about 12 feet away--he glanced from a distance, checked his phone for a moment, and told her it was $13.99. That didn't sit right with me, so after paying, Something didn't feel right so I went back to check the shelf myself. The exact same item was clearly marked $5.79. I brought the correctly priced item and photos to the manager. He offered no apology and simply said the online price he saw was higher. When I returned to the register to correct the purchase, he brushed it off again, saying the item "must have been marked wrong." The issue isn't just the price difference--it's the lack of effort and accountability. The manager didn't take a moment to walk over and verify the product, didn't check the shelf, and didn't seem concerned about overcharging a customer by more than double. Not everyone can absorb that kind of mistake, and customers shouldn't have to double-check basic accuracy. Do better. Customers trust matters, and so does taking the time to get it right. Customers should trust the store to be accurate and fair the first time.

Not just that, but the sketching supplies, calligraphy, paint brushes(especially Princetons, shocking that the Princeton brushes are wiped out completely except for maybe a handful of brushes, but all the cheaper ones like W&N Cotman & Artist's Loft were in supply a-plenty. I know that's not the employees fault, plus we DID just have Black Friday & Christmas, and New Years sales so maybe that's why it was wiped out (just havent gotten a shipment in yet I hope?). I'm hoping to come back in the future after a while and see if it's fully stocked again, or if that poor store just never gets to new shipments in of their painting supplies. All in all, that was sad, and the poor shelves looked like they had seen better says but were hanging in there for the long haul. OH ALSO. To CUSTOMERS who shop in this store--WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU? Obviously y'all were never taught to clean up after yourselves or put things back where you got them, because after I was sad about basically everything being out of stock, I spent a while going up and down the paint supplies & sketching materials aisles, putting things back where you imbeciles so kindly decided to leave them for the employees. If you don't want something, put it back. I can only imagine the state of your homes, vehicles and anywhere you frequent often being abhorrently in disarray & disgusting as all get out. CLEAN UP YO MESSES Michael's staff is not there to follow you around and watch over you because you're an actual toddler in an adult body. Yes they work there, but they have enough duties that don't include catering to your negligent laziness (or shall I say incompetence? Tbh you've earned all of those words, congratulations). In conclusion, if you're going to be an entitled POS who can't put things back where you found them, if that's too much *work* for you, please don't leave your trash heap of a house, and spare any establishment of any sort from having to deal with the fact that you weren't raised right. The end.
