I showed up on Black Friday looking for a new vacuum to replace my 6-7 year old Shark. The Shark has been fine, it's needed a brush replacement and plenty of filter replacements and cleanings as it's bagless, but it's just not really keeping up with our two dogs and current lifestyle. Amanda greeted me right away and started getting information on what I was looking for, what machine I have currently, aspects of my house layout that might impact my decision, etc. My own research on what to get next led me to SEBO, and Amanda demo'd both the Felix (which is what I was originally thinking would be a good fit) and the E3 (which ended up being a better fit and what I ended up going with). The E3 has been amazing. It doesn't try to sell you with all kinds of gimmicky technology, sensors, systems, etc. It has just enough to make sure I am at the right brush height, don't have anything stuck, and can alert me to when the bag needs changing. The SEBO does as well in one pass as the Shark would do only after I took a rubber broom to loosen up all the embedded dog hair, and it can get all the way under furniture my Shark had no chance to get under because it can lay practically flat. And the kicker? It's even quieter than the Shark. I never thought I'd be spending four-digits on a vacuum cleaner but, like with my Herman Miller office chair, this is one of those buy once, cry once kind of things (or at least buy once every decade or more kind of things). The warranty is fantastic and knowing I can just bring it to my closest Quality S&V location for service is even better. No futzing with online claims, no shipping, no waiting for contractors to come out, I can just bring it in locally. Thanks Amanda, and thanks Quality Sewing & Vacuum! :) read more

Great store, super helpful staff. My new sewing machine had a glitch that I couldn't figure out. When I took it to the store, of course it worked perfectly. They said to bring it back if it acted up again, which it did almost as soon as I began sewing again. I returned to the store and they gave me a replacement machine immediately. Gracious, helpful, responsive. My new machine (Bably Lock Jubilant) sews perfectly now. I love it. I'll attend a class next week to learn how to maximize its features. Super impressed. read more

Bought a Janome Horizon Memory Craft 9450QCP in July and negotiated extra presser feet instead of a sewing table I didn't want or needed. It's now October and I only now, after multiple phone calls and visits, received four of the six I requested. Diane admitted it was her fault that she got my order mixed up with another lady's, who ordered presser feet that same day, but in the meantime: she claimed it was "supply chain issues", that her boss, Jim, ordered them, that she'll call me when they came in. When I went in this evening to pick them up, she didn't offer any concessions for the THREE MONTHS I've spent waiting for them. Never buying anything from them ever again. Go anywhere else for your fabric, accessories, and machines. Oh, and to top it off? Diane kept pushing the M17 on me to show off what she's done on that machine. I brought my Brother sewing machine in thinking it was broken, only to realize I actually know nothing about my machine. Carol B. offered to set up a time for me to come in and learn about everything my sewing machine can do, so I signed up! Carol blew me away with her knowledge and obvious passion for sewing; she was so patient with me and answered my most basic questions kindly and thoroughly. I'm definitely a beginner (super beginner) but I left today feeling like I could actually go home and confidently use my machine. I should probably lay write two because last summer I bought a brother serger from Pat and it was absolutely the most delightful and helpful experience I've ever had. She was so attentive and intent on making sure I had all that I needed to get going (this was my first serger)! I've worked for years in customer service and they have mastered it. I needed to replace my vacuum so I came back up to this store (even though I live in West Seattle), and when I arrived Meg was there to help and it was delightful. Then another associate (totally blanking on her name..sorry!) came out and she we both recognized each other and she even remembered that I bought a Brother serger. Then I got to see Pat again and I can't tell you how much I enjoy this location. I wish we were closer lol! I have to tell you, I don't often take the time to write positive reviews like I should (you know you're guilty too lol), but the quality of staff and the dedication they have for supporting their customers is unlike any other place I've purchased appliances or sewing notions or the like. It is hard to give credit to just one of their fabulous, well trained and knowledgable employees but Julie M, Margaret, Lana to name a few, have helped me thread a serger on the spot, no charge and sent me on my way to continue serging for a charity called Days For Girls. The level of unprofessionalism was ridiculous! I have brought my vacuum here before for servicing and never encountered such horrible customer service. First, I was told that they wouldn't be able to service my vacuum right away and was asked to leave it, I expected to be able to pick it up at the end of the day and she said it could take weeks! Really... A couple of WEEKS to clean it & replace a belt!? Second, I asked if there was another shop they would recommend, and she said the next closest one was in Mt Vernon, how ridiculous! Third, I asked when the repair tech would be back (he was on a break) and she scoffed "I don't know, I'm not the manager." I was able to find another vacuum shop to take my business to & I will never be back to this place again. read more

A tiny screw broke on my sewing machine in the middle of a time sensitive project (an odd incident that apparently almost never happens because the part is impossible to find. Even the manufacturer said they generally don't sell that piece as a replacement and it would take weeks to find and send it) so I called up Quality Sewing to see if they could help. They told me to bring the machine in and they'd see what they could do. I walked in and was immediately helped by a very nice lady. She went to the back and brought out a container of random screws and meticulously went through them to find a match. About halfway through the box she found one. She didn't charge me for her time or effort and invited me to come back with my daughter (who was ooo'ing and ahhh'ing at everything) and take some classes. I was super impressed with their customer service and they appeared to have a huge number of accessories for my machine there as well so I'll definitely come back to have a look around again. read more

I took an old black and gold Singer sewing machine in to be serviced and Bobby, a sewing machine aficionado knew exactly what model she was looking at and diagnosed and repaired the problem as I waited. She really was a marvel to watch and listen to. The women in here really know there stuff so if you want to repair a machine or buy a machine or learn to sew or well, anything sewing, go here first. You'll be talking to people over and above "sales" you'll be talking to actual lifetime sewers --- I know I am trying to makeup a word because I don't feel lilke I can call them seamstresses because they all probably do different kinds of sewing... but I suddenly realized that although in my head sewers sounds right, sew... ers. "Sewers" is in fact a word with a very different definition: "an underground conduit for carrying off drainage water and waste matter." Oops, my bad! IF YOU NEED A VACUUM FIXED, NO QUESTIONS GO HERE!!!! I came here after my Dyson broke, full on no matter what I cleaned it wouldn't suck up anything, so I went here and they told me originally it would cost 50$ for cleaning and belts if I needed it. I ended up finding out it just needed a deeper cleaning and to replace my filter, and after two years of the hose not working he fixed it as well! I ended up leaving with what seemed to feel like a brand new vacuum!! The guy was super patient with all my questions and super sweet! She cleaned it, rethreaded and changed the needle, but continued to hear the same sound. This place is the worst! I called ahead of time confirming they could service my Bissel bagless vacuum cleaner. When I arrived I was looked at with a blank stare...no greeting whatsoever. Since no one asked me if there was anything they could help me with, I began to explain the situation with my vacuum. Without hesitation I was told "69.95". With confusion I asked, "excuse me"? She said "if no one told you, it's a 69.95 cleaning and service charge". For that kind of money I could just buy a new vacuum. They didn't offer a free estimate and I'm sure with parts, I would be walking out of there paying over 100.00! There are better, nicer options. I ended up paying 21.00 at Everett Vacuum and they are getting 5 stars. read more

I can't say enough good about this store. Linda spent a lot of time helping me figure out which machine was the best for my quilting needs. Then, she asked the manager (sorry manager guy, I don't know your name) what deal they could get me. She came back with a offer that I couldn't refuse. Rude! At least the male I got in their vacuum dept. I called looking for parts for my Hoover vacuum and when I got transferred to him he answers the phone yelling "HELLO!" I start to say hello and he cuts me off with "Hello, hellloooo." I try again and again get cut off. At first I think maybe we have a bad connection until he starts yelling again. She showed me the pro and cons of all the models in my price range and gave me a quick lesson on the Babylock I decided on. It was obvious she knew her products inside out. On previous visits for vacuum cleaner bags and a quick (free) lesson on what I was doing wrong on my old machine, the employees were top notch. I went in there to buy a machine and got a good deal on a floor model Elna quilting machine. I don't quilt but am going to learn. I love this place. All the employees are super nice an knowledgeable. You can take free classes on how to use your machine. Margaret has the same machine, she is a quilter and gave me a one on one class which I so appreciate. My machine is pretty fancy and has a lot of features that are new to me. I've learned so much from them. I highly highly recommend this place. They also have all kinds of sewing notions. If you can't figure something out, bring your machine in they will show you. If something isn't working right they will look at it and can often figure out the problem. Top Notch business. They also have classes. I will never go elsewhere! I changed it from 5 to 4 stars because over about a 2 week period I called twice to order a new foot and both times they were suppose to call me back when they found out if they could get it and neither person did...that was disappointing so I ended up ordering online. read more
