Kitty Christmas ornaments I made with a crapload of styrofoam and glitter and glue and other stuff from Michaels
    Chris H.

Pretty much your typical Michael's: it's stuffed to the ceiling with crafty things, packed on shelves in rather narrow aisles. You could totally get lost in here, and not in the good way...the only hope you have to find anything is either to ask one of the nice employees for help, or to just wander around the store enough that eventually you start to figure it out, although you'll get stuck a lot behind people who are blocking the aisles while they ponder the merits of different glitters or polymer clays or doll parts or whatever. The selection of craft stuff is superior to Jo-Ann Fabrics but a step or two behind Hobby Lobby, but for the most part Michael's is likely to have what you need. When you're at checkout, give them your email address with caution: you will be besieged with (or is it "besieged by"?) emails with coupons for 10,000% off everything ever.

Some North middle school parents accidentally parked in Broadway Hobbies parking lot (which is right next door to the North school parking lot). The parking lot was almost completely empty - except for the few poor souls headed to North who mistakenly parked there. Within 30 minutes, the property owner had called to have the cars towed and at least five tow cars were there towing poor parents' cars. What a jerk! Way to ruin the afternoon of neighborhood families that made an innocent mistake.

You're my new replacement for Galaxy Hobby. The other guys in Everett ( brand hobby store ) are hella expensive and have far less selection. I will be shopping here more. So, I decided to head to the Everett Mall (I was meeting up with some friends in Everett to game that night), because someone told me about Wishes. I was concerned that it would be a toy store with a few games in the back. No way! This place is Boardgame heavy. In fact, I saw titles and expansions I wouldn't expect to see in any Boardgame store. Dice? Not much of a selection. At all. I wanted a block of 36 D6s from Chessex. They might have had a handful of Chessex polyhedral sets. I was disappointed. But I decided to walk through the boardgane section. Again, Wow! Lots of depth of titles. I think I saw Twilight Imperium from a row away, and I thought, 'Would they have any Cthulhu Wars expansions? Nah, not in a mall, right?' OMG. I was so wrong. I found a shelf practically dedicated to Cthulhu Wars and Dark Souls! I highly recommend Wishes in the Everett Mall! The two employees I met (Zack and John?) were both friendly and helpful. I ended up buying a Cthulhu Wars expansion - The Sleeper. I still can't believe they had it in stock.

I stopped in to buy some Easter basket items and picked up a "Make It Real fashion sketchbook". I…read moredidn't realize the one I grabbed was missing a price tag, but similar items were reasonably priced. At checkout, the cashier asked the manager to confirm the price. Instead of walking over to look at the product--despite being only about 12 feet away--he glanced from a distance, checked his phone for a moment, and told her it was $13.99. That didn't sit right with me, so after paying, Something didn't feel right so I went back to check the shelf myself. The exact same item was clearly marked $5.79. I brought the correctly priced item and photos to the manager. He offered no apology and simply said the online price he saw was higher. When I returned to the register to correct the purchase, he brushed it off again, saying the item "must have been marked wrong." The issue isn't just the price difference--it's the lack of effort and accountability. The manager didn't take a moment to walk over and verify the product, didn't check the shelf, and didn't seem concerned about overcharging a customer by more than double. Not everyone can absorb that kind of mistake, and customers shouldn't have to double-check basic accuracy. Do better. Customers trust matters, and so does taking the time to get it right. Customers should trust the store to be accurate and fair the first time.
