We were impressed they sold miniatures and paint. We will definitely be back to purchase more games and kid toys. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a gift or board game night. We had a blast!

So, I decided to head to the Everett Mall (I was meeting up with some friends in Everett to game that night), because someone told me about Wishes. I was concerned that it would be a toy store with a few games in the back. No way! This place is Boardgame heavy. In fact, I saw titles and expansions I wouldn't expect to see in any Boardgame store. Dice? Not much of a selection. At all. I wanted a block of 36 D6s from Chessex. They might have had a handful of Chessex polyhedral sets. I was disappointed. But I decided to walk through the boardgane section. Again, Wow! Lots of depth of titles. I think I saw Twilight Imperium from a row away, and I thought, 'Would they have any Cthulhu Wars expansions? Nah, not in a mall, right?' OMG. I was so wrong. I found a shelf practically dedicated to Cthulhu Wars and Dark Souls! I highly recommend Wishes in the Everett Mall! The two employees I met (Zack and John?) were both friendly and helpful. I ended up buying a Cthulhu Wars expansion - The Sleeper. I still can't believe they had it in stock.

If you were into LEGOs or similar or did small crafts, this store is a blast. Everything is friction-held together for the most part (tiny amounts of glue on occasion, from what I gathered by chatting with people). With all the pieces pre-painted/cut so you can focus on going through assembly as a fun time. Some of the models have very simple motor/light electronics which bring them to life. Unlike LEGOs, these are designed to be crafted together and then displayed without remixing them further. Large variety of model types. Some which fit onto a bookshelf and tell a story, some which are small city buildings, or some that are just items like flowers. The store interior showcases a large variety of the models, and staff were helpful with pointing out ones which fit a particular interest (we had a friend we know loves stag beetles and surprise, they had a stag beetle). The models run around $40 for the middle sized ones, and we ended up buying several, as nicer gifts to friends who we know would appreciate the fun of assembling them and showing off their creations.

My wife also loved shopping at Torrid. She's happy to have her favorite store close to home. Inside the mall we were practically the only people on a Monday afternoon. The mall was clean and some of the businesses seemed to be closed. After reading the other reviews, it seems like the mall is going to have a big change and redesign! I'm excited for what's to come and to see the big changes in the next year or so. Must be why some of the store locations are vacant. They are getting ready for the construction. My wife loves all the changes on the outside of the mall and loves the movie theater, Ulta, Home Goods, Chic Fil A, Trader Joe's, and others. We will be back soon and look forward to the changes inside the mall.

I'm mostly here for the movie theater these days, but currently disappointed that you can no longer enter the mall from the back doors over by the movie theater. I liked having the option of going early for a movie, getting a bite to eat at the food court and getting some shopping done if I had time to kill, but now it seems like I have to drive around to a different parking area if I am not interested in walking around the perimeter of the mall. There does seem to be a sign about plans to change this area in the future, but right now its a huge hassle. I'm hoping that the addition of Trader Joes brings more back into the mall, but at this point there seems to be less and less every time I go. I also am always confused when malls add grocery stores. If you do not know it is not possible to enter the all thru Trader Joes. I counted 4 open things in the nearly empty food court on my most recent visit. None of them are very appetizing if you are here for a meal, but there is still Buffalo Wild Wings. I think I was sitting in the food court mostly alone at 6ish on a Monday. Looks like the nail place closed too. I've also been disappointed by the mall hours on recent visits, but I guess with so much empty it's probably hard to justify keeping prepandemic hours. Most of my favorite shops have left. I can not believe Bath and Body Works left the mall and is now located over by Target. I guess that makes my current favorite stores Burlington and Old Navy. I do see that some empty stores are now offering spaces for karate like sports, which does seem to be a good idea. There also are a couple arcades that seem like an interesting addition. There is plenty of parking, but if you are looking for a shopping excursion I'd head to Alderwood or check out the stores located on the outer perimeter which is not located close to any entrances to the actual mall.
