We used to really like Bella's Voice and shopped there regularly after moving to Lynnwood in 2024…read more We have spent close to $3,000. That changed with one visit which occurred a month ago. Look at the photos for the condition of a rug they sold. At the Shoreline store, I purchased a rug that was tightly rolled and sealed with tape, so there was no way to inspect it at the store. When I got it home and opened it, it was in unacceptable condition: heavily stained, paint marks, and a strong cigarette odor. This is not an item that should have been on the sales floor. I brought it back within a week with the tag attached and receipt in hand. The manager Leonora did not start by looking at the condition. Instead, she went straight to finding reasons to deny the return. First saying there was no tag (there was), then saying they don't accept returns on "furniture." At no point did she engage with the actual issue. When I tried to show her why I was returning it, another employee inserted herself and escalated the interaction. I did raise my voice out of frustration (my voice carries) but I made no threats and was trying to explain a legitimate issue. Rather than hearing the concern or working toward a solution, the situation escalated quickly. The manager told me to leave or the police would be called for CRIMINALLY TRESSPASSING, and that is exactly what happened. Police were called over a return. I tried to de-escalate and offered reasonable solutions (exchange or completing my purchase), but the manager declined and stayed focused on denying the return and calling the police to have us removed for CRIMINAL TRESSPASSING! Even the responding officer looked at the rug and attempted to find an amicable resolution. My daughter, who was not involved in the interaction, was also threatened with trespass, which was upsetting and unnecessary. This should have been straightforward customer service: 1. The item was not in acceptable condition and the condition was against their own donation policy. 2. It was packaged in a way that prevented inspection 3. A reasonable review could have resolved it Instead, it escalated into a situation involving publicly funded law enforcement over a defective item. As a nonprofit serving the community, I would expect a greater emphasis on resolving issues directly rather than relying on public resources to shut down a legitimate concern. For a place called Bella's Voice, it was surprising how quickly the conversation was shut down. The executive director has chosen to ignore my formal complaint. Photos are attached so others can judge the condition for themselves.

But once you make it to a town big enough to have a Goodwill, you know you're in luck! The Marysville Goodwill is pretty big and has the usual departments, all decently sized, including a fairly large housewares selection. It seems pretty tidy and organized overall, although there were a few areas with stuff on the floor. Likewise, it seems pretty clean and doesn't have thrift-store smell inside. This store belongs to the Seattle Goodwill family, so anything you buy here can be returned to a Seattle store per the usual return/exchange policy. Good news if you're buying for another person or have severe road-trip fatigue and can't even deal with the fitting room right then. They also follow the same colored-tag discount schedule as the regular Seattle stores. The best part about this store, however, may be the HUGE restrooms! No skimpy single-seaters here -- there's a long row of stalls, clean and nicely maintained, and you don't have to go and pester an employee for a bathroom key. Road trippers, take note!

She greeted me as soon as I walked in and explained the sale for the day. The store is a good mix of women's clothes, decor, and housewares. Not much for kids clothes that I saw but they did have an entire aisle with toys and games. Lots of puzzles, glassware, DVDs and vinyls! If you love a good thrift hunt, this is a must!

I'm here in Monroe because of an offer up deal I was doing at the nearby Lowe's so I'm about almost an hour out of my ways due to traffic, and out of a completely spontaneous decision I went into the nearby goodwill. I don't frequent most places, but I have been to probably an unhealthy amount of goodwills. Idk why but even if I don't have time I usually make time if I see one I haven't gone to because it's such a random occurrence of events to find a dope find. Tbh in the last 5 years I've grown to usually take about 10 minutes tops to get in and out due to the mediocrity that is so casual for goodwill but I'm here to say that I want to go on record confidently stating this is the best goodwill I've ever been to. No, it's not doing something out of the scope of goodwills agenda, but everything you expect from a goodwill they are doing in an ideal way. The team here is just putting out such a variety of items and EVERYTHING is in sellable condition. Holy moly it's organized. I've seen organized goodwills but it's not common, and it's unheard of to see the combo of variety and organization. Tbh I was forcing myself out after finding like 3 amazing things because of my budget, so I didn't have any interaction with the staff or anything, but who cares. The store itself shows these people are talented and care about what they do. This review will amount to nothing, but this should be said. Thank you Monroe Goodwill and keep flippin thriving! P.s if you're worried that I'm toasting I'm not, I'm still in the parking lot in the heat, but my phone was at like 10% so I'm chillin in the car and the a/c on Bye

Their manager Michelle said that the price is firm, her exact quote was "most people wash their clothes, do you want it or not?". They made me feel bad for pointing out how dirty (and grossly overpriced) the item was, when both placing it on the rack and pricing it egregiously high were no fault of mine. I finally got the chance to pop in, and I wasn't disappointed. There were items in a good variety of sizes, the merchandising was great, the pricing was fair with good quality items, and most importantly (in my opinion) it felt good. The store feels peaceful, organized, and relaxed. Browsing was wonderful. This is boutique consignment. If you're interested in ethical fashion, want something a bit different, are frustrated by the low quality clothing churned out these days, want to go green, or just want to save some money, this is a great place to try out! Much of what I saw was unworn or like new. The owner clearly does a great job. My one suggestion would be to separate out the XS sizes from the S sizes. There were tags marking off the various sizes, but it's a bit of work figuring out where XS ends and S begins. I know it sounds ridiculous, but there are plenty of stores these days that don't carry XS, so just seeing the tag would be reassuring that Anchor Chic's got you covered. Probably less feasible would be a petites section, but a girl can dream. I'm so looking forward to going back and bringing some items home!
