2 Entree plate with Broccoli Beef and Salt & Pepper Chicken

I could tell the food was made with care so I had to grab a plate! It didn't disappoint one bit! Barbara the manager was very sweet and this place is very clean and a relaxing spot to enjoy your food. Will be back!

This place is small and homey. When i came in it was quiet and almost closing. I am not familiar with the area but I'm craving for asian food as my son and i wanted something small and home cooked style. Its like a Panda Express style but in a locally style and small family owned business. I ordered 3 entree combo with rice + Egg roll, pork bbq, salt and pepper chicken and small chow mein. And it was sooo delicious i tell you! To top it all, the server and i believe the owner was so nice and friendly. They also have little area for retail items such as Hello Kitty and other cute stuffs. They also carry Boba drinks and the Thai Tea? Yum! The boba is fresh and the Thai tea too. Come check it out guys, i recommend this with locals and visitors such as myself! Worth your money. Let's normalize, Supporting small businesses & local owned business.

The food is good, the service is quick. It is very clean. I had the ever popular orange chicken & broccoli beef. I was not disappointed.

TRUST THOSE WHO YELP REGULARLY... Super happy, friendly service by family-owned Mom, Dad, and Son... 5 stars for service. Unfortunately, the food was oversimplified for their buffet-style to-go platform with too much sauce and ingredients of a fast food establishment. If you're not into quality food, then this place might be for you. I can't recommend them for food.

I've been to many Chinese express places and the only place that wasn't bland was a spot in SF fidi. I'm sooo happy to find this restaurant!! It honestly tastes pretty close to normal sit down Chinese food and the food tastes clean - no immediate headache after! The fried rice and chao mein were tasty and paired with their chili oil hit the spot. We got the broccoli beef, orange chicken, salt pepper chicken, and eggplant tofu. All were great but my favorite was the orange chicken. Not too sweet and pretty crispy. Two orders of the combo B was just $21.90 total!

The food is good but this is the size I received for Combo A, in my opinion too small. Based on one picture from February from another yelper they downsized the portion. In this case I rather see a price increase. I'll not return.

My boyfriend and I love coming here! We get the Thai tea with boba almost every day, and for the first time the other day we ordered food too. Their restaurant set up is very similar to Panda Express, but Ho Won Express doesn't have EVERYTHING from the menu ready to go. There are some items that if you want to order you have to wait, but the wait isn't long at all and it's so worth it. You can taste how fresh the food is. In addition, they have the best boba and Thai tea we've tried so far. The service is more than great and we recognize all the employees now. Furthermore, the restaurant is always very clean, including behind the counter and where they make the drinks. We love Ho Won Express!

For 2 people, we ordered the hot & sour soup & dynasty shrimp (+sub fried rice) off the menu, along with the kiwilicious & gingerosity teas. We also ordered off their hot bar- the 3 entree combo with green beans, chow mein and salt and pepper chicken- This was more than enough food all for $46. The salt and pepper chicken, along with the hot & sour soup, were the stars. The teas, especially the gingerosity, were so tasty and they went above and beyond by packaging up fried wontons on the house as we chatted with the sweet woman behind the counter. We loved our experience here and will definitely be back.

I always preferred this spot for soup dumplings. And that's what we had today. Both my husband and I each ordered the Xiao Long Bao (8pc) along with a side of Bok Choy with Garlic. Gotta get in our greens! (I really wanted the Spinach with garlic but was told they sold out yesterday.) Everything was delicious. We even ordered one more Xiao Long Bao! What I really liked about the dumplings was that the exterior did not break when grabbed with chopsticks. Pliable. Soup stayed in the dumpling until I pierced it. (At Joyee, many times dumplings stick to the paper and rips. Soup spills out. The dough can be a little chewy.) We also had tea with our meal. My husband with the Taro Milk Tea with Boba and me with the Tropica Fruit Tea. My tea was quite refreshing. I forget everything that's in it but there's jasmine tea with a mix of fruit tea, a mint leaf, and pieces of fruit - strawberry, blueberry, pineapple. My husband enjoyed his drink too. Boba was nice and chewy. Dumplings were being made as we were leaving. Who doesn't love freshly made dumplings?! Almost forgot to mention that the service was great. The employee was very friendly and helpful. Stop by and support this small business!

If you are in a rush or not social, no worries, she makes food homemade AND fast for you and won't bother you. No worries. If you are social, say hello, she will become a beloved neighbor and you will feel welcomed and cared for. The food is top notch! Quality. She will let you know if it's freshness and is very transparent. One time she ran out of fresh corn and let me know before I ordered. And offered me other ideas. I'm completely fine with frozen corn, I like corn with my crab boil, but how nice and honest of her to tell me! It was all so delicious and my daughter gets the potstickers and they are pan fried, such a perfect crunch to them! And beef chow mein. My daughter and I share it and still have leftovers. Sesame balls are my favorite and makes them perfectly. She has plenty of drink choices too. Go now and enjoy. Except Mondays. She deep cleans the entire restaurant. She needs a rest day and deserves it. I hope she gets one.

The usual places that we'd get our new year Chinese dinners from all had shut down their businesses. We called this business and the guy graciously took our to-go order. But first we had to keep calling like their voicemail said to do. We got two soups the wonton and the egg/flour one. One thing we noticed on their menu is they lack the description of what meat they use in the wonton soup. Assuming it was pork we ordered it anyway. I'd personally prefer it to be veggies or chicken inside. Or to have an option. Though I absolutely love the broth it comes with! The egg drop was great for me too as it had just the right amount of flavoring. I really do enjoy a good orange chicken (rice is at an additional cost when ordering it) so we put in an order for their orange peel chicken. The pieces came small and a little bit too done. I attribute this to it being a busier night than perhaps their usual and maybe because it was only a couple to a few people working. So I'd be willing to try it again. When ordering we specified please no sesame seeds. He assured us that this dish doesn't have it. You see we're beginning to see and experience sesame seed trending on so many dishes elsewhere else even when it's not advertised. So I'm very happy it's automatically not on theirs. You can see in my picture the size of the chicken I got. I had it in a small Japanese soup/salad bowl for reference. I'd order from them again and perhaps dine in their nice & casual establishment for a different experience. Happy 2026!
