The fried rice and chao mein were tasty and paired with their chili oil hit the spot. We got the broccoli beef, orange chicken, salt pepper chicken, and eggplant tofu. My boyfriend and I love coming here! We get the Thai tea with boba almost every day, and for the first time the other day we ordered food too. Their restaurant set up is very similar to Panda Express, but Ho Won Express doesn't have EVERYTHING from the menu ready to go. There are some items that if you want to order you have to wait, but the wait isn't long at all and it's so worth it. You can taste how fresh the food is. In addition, they have the best boba and Thai tea we've tried so far. The service is more than great and we recognize all the employees now. Furthermore, the restaurant is always very clean, including behind the counter and where they make the drinks. We love Ho Won Express! read more

Portions: HUGE every takeout box lasts me two whole meals Prices: incredibly cheap and well worth it Service: the family who works here are so nice and always take care of us. This is probably the best takeout/fast food Chinese food place I've ever been to! I was very spoiled with a nearby non-chain Chinese takeout food place in the neighborhood where I grew up and everywhere I've lived since doesn't have anything like it, however this place absolutely leaves that place in the dust! Whether you only go to chain Chinese takeout restaurants or prefer non-chain restaurants like I do, I recommend that you give Ho Won Express a try! They have all your regular takeout Chinese options and more with extremely reasonable prices and generous servings. My favorites so far are the orange chicken, beef/broccoli, and chow mein. The orange chicken is fried to perfection and flavorful without being overly sweet. The beef/broccoli is cooked to perfection; broccoli isn't soggy like some places and the cuts of meat are the perfect size/texture and not overly salty. The chow mein was absolutely delicious, I could probably eat a bowl of it by itself. What makes their chow mein different from a lot of places is that it isn't overly salty or sweet, but at the same time it also isn't bland. Ho Won Express is the perfect place to add to your takeout circuit, highly recommend! read more

I love the new management! The newly renovated Ho Won Express is clean and the owner was so helpful. I placed a large pick up order over the phone for myself and my coworkers and she wrote all of our initials on each box to help us distribute when we got back to the office. She even threw in a free side of veggie spring rolls. The food is standard fast food Chinese food - the orange chicken wasn't the best I've had, but the service and cleanliness made up for it. The main reason for my 5 star rating is their EGGPLANT TOFU! I haven't fully recovered from the nearby Panda Express removing this item from their menu and have been in search of it since. I am so happy that Ho Won has this on their menu and I will definitely be ordering at least once a week for lunch. They also serve Milk Teas w/ Boba! I have been here a few times and while the quality is decent the quantity is not what you expect from a Chinese restaurant. I often am still hungry after eating a 3 combo, the 3rd item comes in a small box you would expect to get 2 potstickers in. I have also noticed that compared to other Chinese places the containers are far smaller including your primary food container.
