They're located in a small plaza with two other similar shops, all offering combo meals starting at only CDN$6.00 (cash, no tax). I usually get a combo meal with BBQ Pork and Roast Pork, which includes rice, vegetables, and soup. Great deal! This time, however, I decided to upgrade to a BBQ Duck and Roast Pork combo, as well as a dish of Pork with Tofu. It was delicious and lasted me for three meals. Total cost was only $15! This is one of three places at this plaza called Evergold Centre that offers $6 BBQ deals and today I got BBQ pork on rice which came with some greens and an odd watery soup broth. Couldn't drink it! But the pork was delicious and juicy and I love that it comes with green veggies! It's a tiny, cramped place and wasn't seat friendly. Total came to $41 and change. Went home and cooked some rice. Upon first taste, the duck was okay, the taste was there, but lacking a flavour that brings it together. Came here for a quick lunch with my wife. Ordered the $6 special. There was a small lineup outside the store. I ordered the bbq pork and roasted pork ribs and wife got bbq pork and roasted duck. The bbq pork was decent but i wouldn't say a standout. It needed some honey bbq sauce. The roasted pork rib has delicious and not too much fat. I would have liked more crispy skin but you get what you pay for. Wife's roasted duck was good however portions were a bit smaller because duck is considered an expensive commodity in the Chinese bbq business! Both boxed came with generous portion of steamed rice and steamed Yu Choy vegetables. There was also a house soup served with the lunch box. Soup was nothing special but at least it didn't have MSG. Ho Ho BBQ has really good daily deals which means there's usually a line on particular days. Notably it's $17 for a while roast duck on Tuesdays, and $5.99/lb for roast pork on Thursdays. Those are the only two items worth getting imo. Their cha siu is rather bland. Their duck is the best in all of the GTA imo. Roast pork is pretty good, marinated well and crispy skin so worth going on Thursday. Be warned though. This is not the most honest business on the block. In fact, for some reason all the BBQ shops in this plaza have a tendency to tweak the weight of your roast meats and/or try to switch out the pieces you've picked with off cuts on the cutting board. Their roasted pork and bbq pork are good. I usually request leaner cuts. The leaner cuts of bbq pork can be quite dry so buyer beware. The roasted pork has nice crispy skin. The daily soup goes nicely with this meal, if you're not into soup, they also offer a small selection of soda cans. Only downside is they don't give you sauce for the roasted pork. read more

Fresh meats provided and the roast on their duck is pretty decent, although I prefer it to be a little more roasted in general, but if you prefer your roasted duck to be on the slightly crispy and juicy rather than a bigger crunch with darker skin, this will definitely be a good place to start. Also got the pork loin drumsticks (not sure exactly what it is in English) and those were just ok. I probably wouldn't order it again as the price for 3 was equivalent to the half duck! This was a highly recommended and rated spot on Yelp for Hong Kong BBQ on Yelp. This turned out to be a major disappointment. The best thing about this spot is their prices. It was only $5.99 for a two meat rice combo. I went with Char Siu and Siu Yuk. The Char Siu seemed kind of bland even with the sweet soy sauce and the cuts they gave us were very fatty. The Siu Yuk was super dry even though the skin was crispy. It was a below average experience. The barbecue meat here is really good, juicy and tender. I normally get the lunch boxes here, and it's very hit and miss here. I made the mistake of coming here 1.5 hours before they closed. They ran out of veggies, but still had plenty of meat left. If you get the young dude cutting your meat, you're gonna get much less meat in your box. he's pretty stingy. and I've gone here 3 times, and every time he cut my meat, I got either bad cuts, or very little. I've gotten roasted duck rice before, and he gives you the bones and rib area, with one piece of breast so you have one piece with meat. Today I got 2 boxes, No veggies were left.
