I ordered two rice boxes from Char siu manor since I wanted to try a rice box from somewhere else other than the two infamous ones at FMP. I saw that they had sweet and sour pork as an option and got myself that and chicken. mr. Tran got his usual char siu and roasted duck on rice. I also got some tofu as well. At first glance, it looked good, but the portions of the meats are less compared to the ones at FMP, but flavor of char siu and roasted duck was decent. The sweet and sour pork was meh, but the chicken was tender. The rice box does come with a side of napa cabbage stir fry which I did not like, because it had that strong tap water taste which I hate. The tofu was okay, a little on the bland side, could use a bit more salt. I think I'll stick to my rice box at FMP.

Good-looking dishes, good for IG, but not that tasty. BBQs were chewy and subpar. After finishing the meal, we were told to return the dishes to the tray rack "like IKEA" in a friendly manner. Well, ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ cheap, cheap, cheap. All I can say is good portion and the servers were friendly BUT no service whatsoever. As far as the price value is concerned, there are better Chinese BBQ places in Markham & Richmond Hill unquestionably. I probably would not return here coz the ingredient quality is low.

Char Siu Manor looks very promising from outside, there are lots of photos of juicy BBQ meats. Good value for a $9.75 cash two option meal that comes with a drink or soup. Lady behind the counter was beyond friendly. Unfortunately, meat quality is lacking - the signature bbq pork was dried and very lean. more flavour/sauce would be appreciated for the whole rice dish. We came early in the morning when they first opened, it's possible the meats are not as good and we caught them at a bad time because other photos look quite different from our meal.

Roasted duck and bbq pork on rice

I ordered roasted duck and bbq pork on rice. It comes with soup and a good portion of veggies on the side. Good portion of meat as well. Bbq pork wasn't very hot though and I don't believe they used the traditional honey sauce...at least it tasted a little different to me. Roasted duck was on par and meaty. Thumbs up for that. Good fast and efficient service. Didn't need to wait long if you are going for a take out.

Looked so good, I forgot to take a pic before digging into it

Been back several times. The consistency is not there. Some days it's good, some days it's not so good. The most recent time, the char siu is plain chewy and did not have the right rosemary wine taste. The bbq pork was very dry and some of the crunchy skin fell off.

I've been eyeing this establishment in the Cachet Centre plaza for about a month now since first spotting the signage. They had their soft opening today. The space feels bright and clean. There are a few tables for dine in but this is more of a takeout establishment. For their soft opening they were offering 10% off purchases. Like other Chinese barbecue places, the cost is weight based. We bought 0.66 pounds of char siu and 0.77 pounds of roast pork, each selling for $10.99 per pound. The total of our purchases came to $16.40 including the 10% off. The roast pork was tender and not at all dry. The skin was crispy but not the crispiest I've had. The barbecue pork was moist, and covered in a slightly sweet glaze. I appreciated that neither of these products were salty. They take cash and debit payment only.

This is a newly opened Chinese bbq Place conveniently located in the same plaza with woodbine T&T . The staff is very friendly with fast service. I came in around 8 pm, and the bbq duck already sold out. Ordered two kinds of bbq with rice, it came with a free soup. Quality is good, potion is average. They are offering 5%discount for cash payment. Will come back for other items

Roasted Duck. Half: $21. Full: $40.

Good food! Had the BBQ pork in rice. Very friendly staff. Compared to other BBQ spots, this place is in the more expensive side.

It's basically carbonara pasta with bone marrow you scrape off from the bone. Sauce wasn't very flavourful and a bit too watered down. Still a good second visit.

I found it funny cause almost every item has the "favourite" symbol but everything tastes good! I love the decor inside. Lots of lights, florals and greenery. There is limited seating though since it gets busy - Maybe 10 tables of 4 on the outside perimeter and another 5 tables of 4 on the inside. We got the razor clams, 12 wings and beer special (after 8:30pm), smoked beet and pig ear salad, brisket and ribs and bun bo hue. The 12 wings and beer would have been such a good deal except the drink was pretty watered down. We brought it up to the waitress so hopefully they change that in the future. The wings were crispy,m and delicious. The razor clams tasted good too, but it only comes with 4. The smoked beet and pig eat salad was one of our favourites! Unique, flavourful and good crunchy textured. The brisket and ribs were another favourite. Tender and flavourful. The bun bo hue was good too. Service could have been better. One of the waiters wasn't that friendly. We still had a good time though and enjoyed the food. I would come back to try their other dishes.

The beef was very well marinated I could eat the spicy beef all day it is pretty expensive and if you come with over a certain amount of people automatically 15 percent gratuity. The crème brûlée was pretty good. The short ribs were really good as well, but still the spicy beef is to die for.

The customer service was great, everyone was friendly and explained the process on how to order and portion size. The waitress kept returning to fill up my water. The food was good also, I really enjoyed it. We were there from 12:30 and stayed until 3:15pm. They didn't rush us to leave. With the bill, I appreciated they let us know that tips were included in the total price. I enjoyed my lunch!!

Both had long lineups around lunchtime, but I liked that this spot offers the option to pair your meats with either noodles or rice. The duck was meaty and plump, with beautifully glistening skin. The roasted pork was perfectly seasoned, featuring that addictively crisp, crackly skin. The BBQ pork was equally impressive, tender and juicy with a glossy, caramelized exterior that balanced sweet and savory flavors really well. None of the meats felt overly fatty or heavy, and when paired with steamed cabbage and your choice of noodles or rice, it made for a really satisfying meal. The vermicelli noodles were thick and chewy, and they come with a side of broth in addition to the soups. The soup itself was light with a pleasant herbal note. The noodle broth, however, had great chicken flavor but was slightly too salty for my taste, so I ended up diluting it a bit to fully enjoy it.

There has been a long debate as to left or right BBQ shop to reign supreme. I find the flavourings of HKS to suite my taste buds more. Not to say Excellent is bad but just not what I was brought up with. To each their own. The combo prices have slowly crept up over the years from the 5.99 two meal combo to the current 9.99 price point I enjoy the BBQ pork and duck as the pork has a nice meat texture with crisp skin along with the duck that is meaty and not too fatty with a nice seasoning to infuse through the meat while roasting. The shop is in a food court and if you are looking for a romantic meal for 2... this may not be your ideal destination. If you are looking for more of a HK hustle and bustle with a side attitude if you take too long to go with your meal, this is the place for you. Do prepared for a long queue to get your meal during the prime weekend times that may be up to 40+ minutes to get your meal
