The place is modern and clean, service is good. Food is tasty and good, but the amount of food is not an awesome value for the money.

This is our first time trying out this place for bbq skewers. The staff is very friendly and service is very fast. Got our skewers instantly after order. We ordered a two persons combo used a promotion code, only cost $80 , and it included many skewers, dishes and fried rice, more than enough for two people, and all skewers were tasty. Inside decoration is modern Chinese style with high ceiling, like the vibe here, highly recommended.

I usually have my routine down for my Toronto visits... go to both xin jiang and yangs for skewers. However decided to give this place a shot and was glad that I came. Skewers were really tasty. The meat quality was good. No pieces of fat. Everything was cooked well. I loved the type and amount of seasoning that they used. I do wish that the meat pieces were bigger, although given that it's $2cad per skewer, I guess it's reasonable. Favorites were the lamb skewers and I think the cartilage. Also really enjoyed the cumin lamb rice. Large parking lot in the strip mall although spots are on the tighter side.

My friends and I have been on the hunt for a good skewer spot ever since post-covid resto pricing has inflated the prices of skewers to the moon. (Chat Bar and Long Time No See, I'm looking at you guys). So when my friend discovered this place at Sky City in Scarborough, we all had to try and see if it was worth it. The parking lot is massive and chances are you won't have much trouble finding parking even though it DOES get busy. So that's good. The restaurant itself seems to always be packed during peak/prime dinner time (there was a HUGE line at the door by the time our food started coming out). We ordered: lamb skewers (any place that fails at these should not be in business), chicken cartilage, chicken heart, chicken gizzard, chicken wings, fatty beef, green onion pancake, cumin lamb fried rice, ten miles fried rice. I came with my friend Aaron A. I agree with him saying the fatty beef, green onion pancake and cumin lamb fried rice are a hard pass for future visits. The fatty beef was literally just fat trimmings, the pancake was drier than a mofo and the cumin lamb fried rice didn't have much flavour (or ingredients running through it for that matter). Lamb skewers were a hit and the best item imo. I have to say, the seasoning this place uses is really good. The chicken cartilage, chicken heart and chicken gizzard were all good as well. I'd say the chicken wings and ten miles fried rice were just ok. On a return visit I'd probably forgo those to order more lamb skewers if I was still hungry. For a group of 6, the bill came to ~30$ per person so I approve of this joint. Managed to feel full AND I didn't break the bank. Looks like this might be the go-to skewer spot for my friends and I from now on. My other friend swears the skewers here even beat Chat Bar's.

A roudy place fit for skewers anytime of the day! The seasoning is great, meat is solid and quality for $ is what you'd expect. The seasoning is tasty, but they seem to use it on almost all their meats which makes it a bummer if you want a variety of flavours in your meals. Things to get again: chicken cartilage, chicken heart, lamb skewers, ten miles fried rice Just ok: Chicken wings (both flavours), chicken gizzard Don't get next time: fatty beef, onion pancake, cumin lamb fried rice

I have been hearing about Ten Miles BBQ for quite some time for their one and only bbq skewers! Great for a late night hangout spot with friends, Ten Miles BBQ has a wide variety of meat, seafood, and vegetable skewers mixed with their spice blend! The lamb skewers are tender with the spice covering the taste of game meat that can be turn off for some people. The squid is tender but still crunchy! The beef skewers were my favorite as the spice blend pairs nicely with the medium rare cook of the beef! The overall atmosphere is nice with available outdoor tent seating if you prefer to enjoy skewers with a beer in the night sky!

Great place for authentic Chinese food. BBQ skewers is definitely a popular choice and while they have many spicy hot options, their non-skewer dishes and non spicy dishes are very good. We ordered the lamb skewers ($6.95), sliced fish w pickled vegetables ($19.95), ten miles fried rice ($12.95), silver coated sweet potato for dessert ($13.95). Aside from the slightly small portion of the fried rice, i thought everything tasted great and was also good value - considering all prices are inflated since the pandemic. Also while the fried rice was pricey for the portion size, I think it's one of the best in Toronto! Servers are attentive and they might be Mandarin speaking only? Restaurant decor is modern and bathroom is clean.

Came here on New Years day to try the bbq skewers and seafood. The restaurant has a nice modern layout and some cute igloo domes if you want to dine outdoors. My family group was seven people so ordered quite a bit. The skewers we ordered were : lamb, fatty beef, chicken wings, pork belly, pork intestines, pork sausage. We also ordered fried chive pancakes, grilled corn, garlic clams, and crab and corn soup. Everything was prepared fresh. The pork intestines had a nice crunchy texture. This is a great place to have beers and some finger food. I wish the servers all spoke English as two of the waitresses could only speak Mandarin. Luckily we had one male waiter who could help us and explain menu items. They only served complimentary hot water in a tea pot. Would have liked if they provided chinese tea. Overall experience was positive and will come back to try other skewers.

Came a few weeks ago and had a good meal. I cannot speak about value since my wife's cousin took care of the bill. She also did most of the ordering and I just ate whatever was in front of me. The service was friendly and food came out promptly. We also brought our 9 month old with us and the waitresses didn't seem to mind. There was a highchair available. Some of my favorites included the spicy lamb, tofu skin and bread skewers. They have these metal trays with burners underneath to keep the skewers warm. My first Chinese skewer place in Toronto, so I have nothing to compare it to. But I would return to try is location.

Excellent skewers. Been here over a dozen times. Consistently great.

Am seriously impressed by this bbq joint. There were many choices of bbq items on the menu - one of the meat skewers that i found interesting and really enjoyed was "beef butter". It's a literal translation from Chinese according to my friend. The veggies we ordered were yummy, and provided relief from some of the spicy skewers. Last but not least, we ordered a big bowl of fish fillet with pickled vegetable soup. It was phenomenal and teased my pallet with a fusion of sweet, sour and spicy. Service was decent for the most part. The food were brought out quickly. The only thing was when we asked for cold water, the server brought us hot water. But that's minor detail. Overall, i really enjoyed the food, and would go back again.

May 27, 2022 - My friend and I went here for a 12am snack :p .... We ordered 3 items, Lamb Skewers, Sweet Sausages and Grilled Cabbage. Everything was flavourful, we did order it spicy but for me, all the dishes were seasoned very well, but nothing was spicy. My friend who has a low tolerance to spicy food said that the Grilled Cabbage was very spicy. The staff was very nice, there was one guy who was serving us and he was very attentive. I definitely will be going back!

We tried several of their noodle soups, and each one had its own charm. The house special noodles came loaded with toppings like beef tendon, brisket, wontons, offal, and squid balls, so every bite felt hearty and satisfying. The broth was especially comforting with the noodles. The wonton noodles were a little lighter, but still very good. The shrimp wontons were huge, with a nice crisp bite to the shrimp, and the whole bowl felt especially soothing after a late night. The offal noodles were also impressive, with a very generous portion of offal and a fragrant touch of garlic oil that brought everything together. The four-ball noodle soup is a great choice if you are not sure what to order, since you get to try fish balls, squid balls, beef tendon balls, and sliced fish all in one bowl. My favorite dish of the night was definitely the fried dumplings. They were crispy on the outside, tender and juicy inside, and soaked up that savory house sauce so well. Easily some of the best fried dumplings I've had. We also tried the chives and pork blood, which is a must-order for anyone who enjoys pork blood dishes. There was no unpleasant smell at all, and the seasoning with chives was just right. To drink, the iced lemon tea and lemonade were simple but refreshing, and paired perfectly with the meal. Overall, this is a place I would gladly come back to when I want something filling, flavorful, and affordable.

The posters outside caught my eye, and I decided to come back with a group of three friends to try it out. We came a bit late around 8 PM, and most of the fish were already sold out except the original. We ended up ordering the Signature Spicy Grilled BBQ Fish ($40), a whole fish served bubbling hot with three toppings (potatoes, spam, and lotus root). You can choose between catfish and turbot, we chose the turbot fish. It looked extremely spicy, but the spice level was actually perfect. It was a bit on the oily side, but pairing it with rice balanced it out nicely. The fish was very tender and buttery, everything tasted amazing! We also ordered the Stir-Fried Egg with Tomato. The eggs were soft, the tomato sauce was rich. Not to mention the portion size was huge, we even had leftovers after eating until we were full. The restaurant itself was spacious, clean, and had plenty of seating. I think they were doing some sort of promotion so they gave us a $25 off coupon, though it expired pretty quickly so we didn't get to use it. I'd definitely come back for that grilled fish.

A few of their dishes come out on a sizzling plate with flames underneath. They are still in soft-opening mode with several specials. You can see the menus via a QR code. The Hunan cuisine is listed as "Hunan Noodles" and the Szechuan cuisine is listed as "Chopfire Menu". The Szechuan dishes are listed with 1 to 3 chilies representing the spiciness. If you can't handle spicy, then avoid eating the chili pieces and you might "survive". The restaurant decided to minimize their food offerings so that they can focus on refining their dishes in terms of quality and taste, including from customer feedback. We ordered the following: 1. Signature Spicy Grilled BBQ Fish ($39.95). 2. Home Stir Fried Beef ($21.95). 3. Bullfrog with Baby Ginger ($19.95). 4. Stir-Fried Cauliflower with Preserved Pork ($15.95). 5. Drunk Oolong (charcoal roasted oolong tea base) x 2 ($5.95 x 2). 6. Lemon Taro Balls ($7.95). We also saw the following: 7. Stir-Fried Sliced Pork with Green Pepper Noodle Soup ($9.99). First 10 customers each day, only pays $1.00. 8. Ink Painting Cocktail ($5.95). The Signature Spicy Grilled BBQ Fish came out on a huge sizzling platter. The BBQ Fish, a Turbot Fish, was very fresh and flaky, easily coming off the bone. There is no head attached like at typical Chinese restaurants but it would not have fit in the platter. The platter had a delicious sauce (soupy consistency and not sweet), luncheon meat slices, lotus root slices, and two other vegetables, along with chili pieces. The entire dish tasted great together with the various flavours. The menu listed it as 2-chili spicy but I could handle it by avoiding the chili pieces. The Home Stir Fried Beef is tender. It is listed as 3-chili but I could handle it by avoiding the chili pieces. The Bullfrog with Baby Ginger has the bullfrog cut up in little pieces; no you don't see a whole frog! The meat was actually good but most pieces have bones in it, so it takes time to eat it carefully. There was ginger slices in it but it, but we thought the slices were quite large! The Stir-Fried Cauliflower with Preserved Pork was very delicious! It came in a sizzling plate. The Cauliflower was flavourful and was not crunchy and not too soft. I've never had preserved pork slices before; it was quite good, not as salty as Chinese preserved vegetables. The Drunk Oolong has comes in a small bowl a with gin and ice. On the side, they include pieces of the charcoal roasted oolong tea leaves so you can smell it; quite a good smell indeed. You can also order it without the gin, which is what I ordered for mine (since I don't drink alcohol). It was such a nice drink! The Lemon Taro Balls dessert was pretty. In the centre was a slice of lemon. The customer service was good. There is plenty of indoor table and counter seating, including a small private room at the back. There is also an outdoor patio during warmer weather. There is pop music playing in the background. There is no free WiFi. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible, but there is no door-open button. There are two gender-neutral washrooms downstairs, so they are not wheelchair accessible. There is paid neighbourhood street parking. Review 2025-026
