I came here for lunch. I wasn't sure what to expect or how to order. I ordered a few selections of skewers and a sweet soup. In hindsight I think I was supposed to eat the bbq goodies with some steamed rice. There a quite a few options for skewers and main dishes. Although most dishes appear to be spicy. The restaurant was decorated like an ancient town. You order your selections using a QR code and your food comes quite quickly. I think I would give this place another try to see the other main dishes. The service was ok, the waiters did not talk to me, just brought over our food quietly and set it on the table.

Open late til 2 am! Food is amazing and comes out quick. Not a fan of eggplant but tried their fried eggplant and it was sooo good I would order it everytime! Skewers were well seasoned and shredded pancakes was also delicious and all come in huge portions! Went back within a week of my first visit and would definitely go again soon!

We were originally going to another restaurant but my friends who were around here first noticed the large crowd and surprisingly scored seats walking into the restaurant. We ordered some beef and lamb skewers, which had really great flavour a bit of a kick. We also ordered the fried pork with chilli peppers which is tasty but the spice will build over time. So definitely need some rice to compliment the dish. We had to get two other dishes less spicy like the tofu and braised pork belly to help us balance spice of the meal. However, I generally like my food less spicy so I'm sure if you're into spicy food this is a great spot. It's isn't just pure heat, there's good flavour as well. Service was good too! PS - They fish for reviews (Google) with complimentary hot dog skewers. I was gonna write a review either way. But my friend did pen a review to get those hot dog skewers for herself as shown, so the reviews likely aren't all organic.

2nd location for Miss Qu bbq. And it was busy for a Tuesday nite!!! The decor in here is really cool. The service is great as there is always someone walking around. I'm Team bbq skewer so this is the perfect place for me. I also saw other dishes and they have huge portions!! They have veggie, seafood, pork/beef/chicken/lamb skewers to choose from. Come and check this spot out!!

Who doesn't love skewers! This was my first time visiting, and I had been seeing it on Instagram, so I thought, "Let's try the best out." The food was great, and the service was excellent. The best dish was the eggplant, crispy and sweet. The servers were very kind, continually offering my child things to entertain them, and they helped me pick up my belongings when I accidentally dropped them on the floor. The atmosphere was perfect, not noisy at all, and the music wasn't too loud. Definitely coming back again for their food.

The eggplant tastes good. The skewers are pretty good too, but we were being rushed to pay and get out as there is other people waiting

One of my favorite spots for Chinese bbq skewers and Sichuan dishes. They have other locations in Toronto - but they just opened this Scarborough location recently! There skewers are so tasty - my favourites are their lamb and Taiwanese sausage. All their Sichuan dishes are also so delicious, with a great variety of tastes. Some are spicy, some are numbing! Love how this place is decorated as well, such a great vibe here. Service is also great - they're very welcoming and attentive! Great for groups and late night (open till 2AM)! Here's everything I tried: * lamb skewer * beef skewer * tawainese sausage skewer * stir fried beef w/ chili peppers * hand torn stir fried cabbage w/ pork * miss qu spicy fried rice * crispy fried pork w/ pea shoot soup * steamed pork belly w/ preserved vegetables

The food is delicious and nicely spicy, and you can adjust the spice level to your taste. Lots of options too, from small shareable dishes to full meals. The decor is amazing and the vibe is lively with a moderate noise level. Perfect spot to grab drinks and skewers with friends.

The use of traditional elements, paper-cut window designs, red Spring Festival couplets, old-style newspaper wall coverings, and exposed brick adds a strong sense of nostalgia. It feels immersive and intentional, almost like stepping into a countryside home in Dongbei rather than a typical restaurant. The décor isn't fancy, but it's rich in cultural detail and warmth, perfectly matching the hearty, comforting style of Northeast Chinese cuisine. The space is unique and perfect for taking photos. The food here is very generous. We ordered the 4-person set with two side pots. Tomato Braised Beef Brisket and Chicken Stewed with Mushrooms and the portions were huge. Both pots arrived steaming hot and filled to the brim, clearly meant for sharing. The braised beef was rich and hearty, while the chicken pot was comforting and full of flavor, making it perfect for group dining or cold weather meals. Combined with the rustic, traditional décor, it really feels like authentic Northeast Chinese comfort food. The food and atmosphere were excellent, though the service was a bit lacking. Prices are reasonable for the generous portion sizes and the unique restaurant décor.

Bold street-style Szechuan food that's certainly not for the feint of heart…read more Nian Yi Kuai Zi is a Chinese restaurant known for intense spicy dishes in the "Jianghu" rebel spirit. The dark interior decor here set the mood of being in an ancient village. Each table & bench stall was filled when we visited for dinner with a youthful Asian crowd. Despite the wait, this was a good sign for an authentic group meal. We ordered a four dishes including a soup, two intensely spicy dishes and a sweet & sour pork which went down well with big bowls of rice. Their Szechuan boiled beef with bean sprouts ($27.99) came in a huge bowl of spicy aromatic red chili oil that helped enhance flavours of the poached beef strips. Shredded eel with green peppers ($29.99) was stir-fried in loads of chilli & peppercorns along with extremely hot long green peppers. Eel was nicely deboned but it's not a dish everyone can handle. To balance the meal, the large bowl of tomato egg drop soup ($13.99) was a simple yet nice reset between bites of the heavier dishes. Sweet & sour crispy pork strips ($23.99) had a pleasant crunch and the familiar tang that we all liked. This place is worth the hype. The portions were generous and fair for the menu prices and ordering multiple dishes to share was ideal. Service was prompt and frequently came to refill our water pitcher with a new one as we doused our spice-tingled tongues with water. There are many restaurants in this plaza making for a busy parking lot but this spot is one of the busiest. Skip it or hit it? Hit it if you're craving intense Szechuan flavours and can handle the heat.

I'd say almost too busy and not enough staff because I can tell every server was completely swamped. However the staff were still incredibly polite and helpful. I would recommend this place, especially if you have a birthday or friends/family visiting, it's worth getting the lobster and experiencing it. Just keep in mind that you're definitely paying decent price for what you get. Our dinner was $500 after tax and tips. (Note: the month of September had an offer where if your party had anyone over 65 years, you'd get 15% off. So our price would've been roughly $575 without that promo)

Apparently the bed of fries used to be a higher quality side in the past too.

It seems a lot of people tend to come here for takeout, as you don't see a lot of people dining in. Admittedly, it doesn't look like the most pleasant seating experience, but I think it's still doable. You might struggle to communicate if you don't speak Mandarin, but it's definitely doable. We got the pan fried buns, beef and carrot steamed bun, pork and shrimp steamed bun, wontons, and fresh tofu pudding. The pan fried buns are really juicy Their steamed buns are nice and fluffy. You really got to question the difference between these and the ones you can get in grocery stores, but it's so cheap I don't think it really matters. Their wontons are pretty standard. They have a nice thin skin and plenty of filling. The star of the show has to be the fresh tofu pudding! It's really nice and savory with nice, soft, and jiggly tofu.
