The cashier was so handsome, love this place. The service from this guy was great too!!!

Singapore noodles with less curry - still tasty

If one orders an entree one can get a discount for some drinks. I ordered singapore noodles with less curry. Lots of different ingredients. Very tasty with shrimp, char sui, rice noodles, bean sprouts, eggs, and green onion. No line so fast service. Remember to bring a bag to carry your container home since it is very hot to the touch. No msg.

Smoothie is pretty good... boba is soft and fresh. Best part is I did not have to wait very long. Shop is located in the food court so it's very busy and a bit noisy.

Got black pepper chicken with brown rice. Huge portion sizes and made to order! It was piping hot when it came out. Everything tasted fresh and lots of flavor. I was pleasantly surprised. The staff were quiet but friendly. Great grab and go in the mall and you can take it to sit down and grab a drink from the bar right across. It's pretty quiet in this food court because it's not the main one in the center of the mall!

Update on HiTea Cafe in the food court near Macy Ala Moana. Had their green beans and chicken was ok . Service is always fast and friendly Nice amount of minced garlic with chicken and green bean ratio some places more beans than chicken lol Support local

HiTEA Cafe is located in 'The Lanai' food court. On the 2nd level of the Ala Moana Shopping Center. The Macy's department store side of the mall. In the former location of Shirokiya, oh no I'm aging myself with that comment XD There are lots of seating and tables inside the food court to dine in. And parking is within walking distance along the Macy's side. Their hours of operation are from Monday - Saturday: 10:30 am to 8:00 pm, and Sunday: 10:30 am to 7:00 pm. This is their website here: https://hitea808.com/ And you can also order online through the link on their website! This is their Facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/hiteahawaii/ They are also on Instagram here: https://www.instagram.com/hiteahawaii/ The tagline on their website is, "Where Boba Dreams and Stir-Fry Cravings Come Together!" There is a good variety of items as their menu offers different bubble milk teas, smoothies, Chinese styled stir fry dishes, rice and noodle options as well. They started in 2015. I've tried various Stir-Fried, rice and noodle dishes from here. All very delicious! My personal favorite is the Beef Chow Fun. A classic! You can also choose different protein options like chicken or shrimp for this dish. But my favorite things are definitely the smoothies! Easy to grab and go. The wait isn't that long and they're made on the spot. Top flavor for smoothie recommendations are Watermelon and Avocado with the added Tapioca Pearl (BOBAZ!) Topping. Though I'm sure all the other smoothie flavor options are yummy as well :) and what one likes is a personal preference. Lotsa different available Jelly Topping options for $0.75 upcharge including Mango, Rainbow, Grass, Lychee, Coffee, and Passion Fruit. Also, Azuki Beans. There's a special deal when you order food, you can get a Milk Tea or Fresh Tea at a discounted price (#60-87 for $4.95, saving $1). Give them a try :D

The large, colorful menus attracted me to check out their spot in The Lanai at Ala Moana Shopping Center. Sooooo many drinks to choose from! They have a large menu just for smoothies and then another large menu of milk teas and fresh teas. The Jasmine milk tea caught my eye first. I asked the employee what the difference was between the Rose Jasmine milk tea and the Jasmine milk tea...like what would it taste like with the rose added to it? He mentioned that they were out of rose so it wouldn't matter anyways. I asked which of the drinks on that menu were popular and he suggested ones like passion fruit jasmine tea or peach jasmine tea that didn't intrigue me at all. I ended up going with my initial Jasmine milk tea and I'm so glad I did! It was so refreshing! I definitely want to go back to try some of their other drinks. There was also a food menu that I would definitely want to go back and try as well. Lots of Chinese food options to choose from. And no MSG!

Today I got to try the Eggplant & Tofu Plate with Milk Tea and it was very tasty. This place is very convenient when you just want to have a quick meal.

Love it. My Pepper Pork Cop plate was ono. To know I can get good Chinese dishes made to order at s food court is awesome. I'm not a fan of buffet style fast food. I'm going back to try some more. It's a good place to people watching. Helpful staff.

Great bitter melon beef plate! Always have a good experience with this restaurant. I've also tried a few of their smoothies and juices and they're good too!

The drinks here hit the spot on hot days, and I love the variety of options. There was a gnat or some bug in my initial drink, but I showed it to the worker and they were very understanding and remade my drink quickly. I got the limeonade, which was super refreshing and had a dash of honey. You could tell they used real limes to make the drink.

Just because we were rushing to get dinner did we choose to "try" the food here. We saw a lot of old favorites that you would normally see at a Chinese restaurant,. Prices though are pretty pricey. We ordered crispy noodle with beef and eggplant/tofu. The eggplant dish was bland. The taste appeared as if they needed more salt. The crispy noodle was decent and flavorful. Noodle toppings were not okay. Again lacked flavor. After reading other reviews. We may or may not return.

5/26/24 Sunday....a hot day in the island and adjusting to the humid temperatures of Hawaii Nei. We grabbed some drinks here located in a food court across Macys and Starbucks at Ala Moana shopping Ctr. We ordered a taro drink, mango tango smoothie, and honey lemon drink x2. Service was quick and staff was nice. Drinks had the right amount of sweetness. So refreshing! Happy drinks!!

We had to order one of their sig crab dishes, and we rounded out the meal w/ beef and long beans, sweet & sour pork belly, eggplant and fried rice. The crab was amazing! The curry sauce was so deep & complex. In addition, the crab was fresh bc they have tanks in the restaurant. Of course I called dibs on the head, and it was packed with goodies. I added rice to the head (in Ilocano this is called "labay", adding rice to soup or broth to extend the meal). I was in heaven. The other dishes were all big portions and very good. The meat was tender, and the veggies were fresh and crunchy. I believe all the other dishes were ~ $20/each. The staff was super nice. We didn't have a res, but luckily we were seated in 20 min on a busy Sun night. Regarding the dining area, its tight but comfy. You have to wash your hands after, and the bathrooms are clean. I will def return the next time I come home. I want to try another crab dish (about 8 versions), and build a meal around the crab.

My buddy really likes siao mai, and he said KSR has the best ones out of the places I have brought him to in HNL. On the other hand, the manapua was just okay: The ratio of meat to bao was low. I took char siu fr the platter and added it to the bao. We might have been better off skipping the baos and ordering a rice or noodle plate. The har gow and spring rolls were pretty good. The rolls arrived piping hot, and the har gow had a nice texture in the wrapper. Fourthly, the cucumber was fresh & crunchy, and had lots of garlic. I ate some with the char siu to cut thru the fat. Lastly, the char siu & duck platter was very good. They do a good job of putting some char on the bbq pork. The duck was tasty, but there were a couple of bony pieces.
