Here are pics from the remodeling of the small kitchen in my 75-year-old, 750 sq ft. home. Kitchen looks way bigger now and is MUCH more functional. Previously there was a lot of dead space. I was feeling discouraged and frustrated. I happened to stop by Setai on my way back from another place. It was my last resort before DIYing butcher block. George was an absolute godsend. He treated me so respectfully, asked me questions and when I didn't have answers (because I am absolutely clueless about countertops) he asked simpler questions that got his answers. Due to the fact that my job was so small, it was more cost effective to choose from remnants, which I was fine with. He took me to his stack and patiently dug through. Measured & advised. I didn't take long as I already knew what I wanted and honestly, wasn't being too picky about it (it's for an office space). I asked about install & he gave me a date just a few days later! He called the day before to confirm. He called the morning of to let me know he will give me an eta. His consistency was impeccable. Frankie showed up on time. There was a slight issue with my countertops going flush against my cabinets. Instead of making it an issue he said "I will figure it out". If there isn't anything in my soul that makes me happier than a person that sees a problem and finds a solution. That, right there, is an amazing installer. Any other person would've been annoying about it. He figured it out & the outcome is beautiful. He was fast & efficient. He cleaned up after himself. I wish I had found them sooner. It would've saved me weeks of stress and frustration. I will keep them in mind when we renovate our kitchen & if anyone asks for kitchen & bath recommendations. They are amazing & seeing their work here I would've felt intimidated even asking them to do my little sink area. Every person in that office was so friendly & kind. Thank you for such a great experience!

The finished kitchen looks absolutely beautiful, and my wife and I are thrilled with how everything turned out. This is a family-owned business, and May was our main point of contact throughout the project. At first, her communication style may come across as direct or a bit blunt, especially since English isn't either of our first languages. However, once you get to know her, you'll quickly realize she's incredibly kind, knowledgeable, generous, and genuinely wants what's best for her customers. She has a very caring heart. Her husband also came by to help lead parts of the project, and having both of them in our home was genuinely reassuring. They made us feel comfortable and safe throughout the renovation. The crew was extremely considerate of our home. They carefully covered all of our furniture, protected the floors with coverings and towels, and kept everything as clean as possible during construction. On top of that, they were impressively efficient and highly skilled. They completed our entire kitchen renovation in less than a week. Communication was another highlight. They were always quick to respond, whether by email or text message, and kept us informed throughout the process. Overall, we're extremely happy with the entire experience. The renovation was smooth from start to finish. We definitely plan to contact them again when we're ready to renovate our bathroom. To be honest, this place is a spot that I want to gatekeep from others! Thank you, May and your team, for making what could have been a stressful project such an enjoyable and seamless experience!

Our project was upgrading the cantilever balconies on 4 townhouses. We interviewed 4 different…read morecontractors and landed with Gilbert Rocha Construction. Let me add that we previously had the other 3 balconies done in 2022. These other 3 we took the lead on organizing the different contractors for the different work (i.e., demo, structure, electrical, plumbing, railings, flooring, stucco etc). The goal this time was not to be involved and have Rocha take point. Initially, it felt like we had made a good choice, but then we had a pause in having work done. Upon checking in we learned Gilbert was in the hospital. His wife Marie assisted with getting work moving forward. Gilbert was not seen for about 6 weeks. And during this time we had many days when no work was done. Once Gilbert was back he was not the same. We had to spend many hours tracking work and what needed to be done to keep the project moving, along with the bookkeeping, when he asked for a large amount over what was owed. The project took longer than initially projected, which we were ok with to get a good end product. Once the balconies were finished, final payment made, we asked for warranty information, Gilbert Rocha said he would forward. Warranty information was never received after multiple emails requesting. Not even 6 months later our railings are rusting at the welding joints. Gilbert Rocha's emails bounce back and the numbers are not in service. He may be out of business, but we still deserve to have a warranty to have the safety of railings corrected.

I understand that stores have return policies, but I was hoping for some flexibility given that the product was still in brand-new condition. Better communication and customer service would have gone a long way. The purchasing process itself was smooth, but the lack of follow-up after I reached out left me disappointed. Once they have your money, don't expect them to stand behind the product. Their customer service is some of the worst I've experienced. You'll get plenty of apologies, but that's where it ends. You may even hear from the owner with an apology, but nothing ever actually gets resolved. It's all talk and zero follow-through. At that point, it just feels like they're trying to quiet complaints rather than fix anything. There's a reason this place has so many bad reviews. Unfortunately, I learned the hard way.
