My husband and I discovered a wet spot in a storage closet at our home which required taking everything out to assess the damage. I initially thought it was a leaking water bottle, but it was much worse than that. To make a long story short, there was a slow leak in a pipe in the wall which damaged part of the wall, the flooring, and molding. After hiring a plumber to break the drywall to fix the leak, we still had to fix the cosmetics. My husband didn't think we'd be able to find an exact match for the molding. Luckily, our handyman told us about Moldings Unlimited. My husband stopped in with a piece of our molding and said that the salesperson who helped him was able to locate it immediately. We visited this specialty store for Crown Moldings, and this place has a vast selection to choose from, ranging from styles to types of wood. The prices are good too. If you go to the typical Home Depot or Lowes and feel that "it is what it is" in terms of selection, but are not really happy with what you're seeing there, I'd recommend you come here to Moldings Unlimited. You have to assume when you pick moldings, it's for your home or even a rental unit, but should last a minimum of 5 years to probably over a decade if not a lifetime, so you want to invest in a style and quality you'll be happy with, especially aesthetically, since you'll see it everyday if it's in the home you live in. With that, I'd say regardless of where you shop, you'd be well served coming here to check out their styles and supplies. This is especially true if you're unable to find anything eye catching elsewhere. Parking is easy too. read more

(I waited for like 1 minute max) the guys there all had their masks on which is honestly so important right now with everything that's going. Not only were the guys extremely helpful but they were all genuinely nice and informative from picking out the molding all the way to ordering and back all the way around to when we came back to pick up the molding! He really took time to show up the difference in sizes, styles, etc. We bought enough to do 3 rooms, and will probably go back to do the rest of the house. I usually don't post reviews but we started to remodel our home and thought it would be helpful to write reviews of what we have like or don't like. We all know what a daunting task it is to find good people to trust with our homes. We decided to check out a molding store one of our contractors recommended. What we thought would be easy and fun quickly felt overwhelming. There is so much to chose from!!! It's hard to chose because you don't know what it will look like once it's all put together. Omar really helped us out. He asked us questions about what we were looking for eg style, guided us on what's popular now, and gave us insight about which would be easier to clean, and what would be most durable in different rooms of the home eg living room vs bathrooms vs outdoor. Things I had not even thought about. He also showed us examples of casings, baseboards, and crown moldings around the store so we can envision what the end product would look like. Based on the information he helped us narrow it down to only a few. We brought some samples home and are excited to chose based on how they look in our home. We really appreciate all the time he spent with us helping us achieve our look. He was very patient and knowledgeable. What seemed like a daunting task is now fun again. When I was remodeling my house and my mom's townhouse I Googled "moulding torrance" and Moldings Unlimited was number one on the search. I didn't check Yelp back then, but I just recommended MU to a colleague of mine so I thought I would look it up before I gave the recommendation. Although I am not a contractor or play one on TV, MU seems geared towards contractors and designers, so if you are expecting to be waited on hand and foot that ain't gonna happen. If you know what you need to buy then this store is for you. I must say they do know their shiyat when it comes to mouldings and wainscotting. One thing that was awesome was that they had door moulding kits! Just for a couple bucks more they had pre cut/mitered door moulding and having to change out a dozen doors saved so much time. See, they cater to contractors. Oh yeah, and they are way cheap compared to the big box stores. I hope to remodel something soon so I can buy another few hundred feet of baseboards and shoe moulding. read more

This is not a place where they have examples of what it would look like or they can advise what's trendy right now.
