We stayed at this hotel for a basketball tournment. The lobby looks great but the room was disaster. There were huge AC fans right under the window . We couldn't sleep the whole night. I complained about it and the front desk promised me to change my room the next day but that never happened. The Manger texted me after one of his front desk guys send me a very unprofesional text and informed me that he is gonna talk to his team first thing the next morning. I see Sophia made a positive comment about Albert but in my case he was the person who never followed up on his promise to change the room. i will never ever stay in that hotel again.I wish I could show the picture of the Ac fans right under the window and let you be the judge. read more

Very nice clean room. Probably the largest hotel room I've ever stayed in. Impressive hotel and room for such a small town.

June 6, 2014 Great staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms were nice, clean and up to date. Nice resturant for breakfast just wish they served lunch and dinner. However, there are eateries in the area. Over all my stay was great and would recommend this hotel to anyone. read more

On Saturday October 23rd 2021 I stayed at this Hilton Inn when I came to Fresno for the Fresno State Nevada Football game. When I came back from the game I found out that my truck had been stolen. Hotel staff did little to help. I asked if we could review the video footage from the parking lot but the front desk associate said they could not release the video without managers permission. Obviously this was a very serious matter and the police came to investigate but when the police finally viewed the video footage it was too grainy to even tell the license plate of the vehicle that pulled up next to my truck and stole it. So the staff and the video were of very little help and as of this writing my truck has still not been found. It wasn't until after the police came that there was a security employee that patrolled the grounds but obviously it was far too late. If you value your vehicle and your possessions I would strongly recommend never staying at this location. It is unsafe and the staff hardly cared to help me in the matter. Needless to stay I will never be staying at this Hilton or any Hilton ever again. read more

Mmmmm I have stayed here a couple of times so feel confident saying the rooms are fine and for the most part the staff are friendly. However, the food is really not very good and tonight I was informed about the many dishes that were NOT available many of which were NOT available when I stayed here last Spring 2019? Update your menu already and manage your kitchen! Wine served in small wine glasses versus standard and food mediocre at best...... read more

The hotel is average and not up to the Hilton standards. The staff is very nice. The security needs improvement the cameras are black and white and very wide angle. How do I know this my truck was broken into. There is direct access to the back parking lot next to an alley a 8ft chainlink fence needs to installed separated these or change the hotel to a Motel 6. I know they are nor responsible for property left in the vehicle bit I think they owe the customer some security with a fence making it a bit less inviting. I will not stay here again and may even rethink using the Hilton chain. read more

The pictures are very deceiving. They make this hotel look brand new when in fact it is not. The staff was friendly when we checked in. The beds are absolutely awful. I travel for work 4-5 days a week every week so I am always in and out of hotels. These beds are rock hard and the covers do not stay on. Lots of options around here so I'd look elsewhere. read more

Charmayne at the front desk did great. I had a question about the Fresno area with where I should have dinner and she went above and beyond to tell me a bunch of different places with different styles I should try. I ended up having to leave town so I wasn't able to enjoy the spots she recommended. I'll definitely stay here whenever I am in the Fresno area. Thanks again. read more

Lock and latch your doors. Disapointed in managements lack of good business practice. Better to go to Homewoods down the street.

Beautiful hotel but I called twice it was hung up each time once I was asked to be put on hold and the girl hung up so clearly some needs to be taught how to put somebody on hold and the second time I had a question about the pool and the girl had no idea of the pool is heated and then hung up on me once I said so it's not heated. Looks like they lost a customer in Clovis. read more

Clovis and Fresno don't really have a decent play to stay. Being a HHonors member, I decided to check this Hilton Garden Inn out on my last trip down there to visit family. Let me just say I won't be back. It's not that the facility is terrible; it's typical of the low end of the Hilton line. Sitting alongside a featureless and busy arterial street, there's almost nothing in the way of redeeming landscaping to make the property welcoming. Instead, you're treated to a pretty bone stock motel with a view of a self service car wash. Once inside, you're in a typical Hilton Garden Inn lobby. Because the neighborhood is semi-sketchy, apprently they lock the door at night and the service from the front desk clerk to buzz you through the front door when you don't yet have your room key ranges from disinterested to ambivalent. We had to buzz several times before the lazy front clerk could be roused from whatever she was stuffing her face with or otherwise occupying her time to buzz us through. I had checked in online using the HHonors app, meaning all I needed was my key and some peace and quiet. Unfortunately, said clerk was deeply involved in some kind of social discourse with the persons checking in ahead of me and seemed in no hurry to check my girlfriend and I in and hand us the keys, despite standing there with full luggage and an impatient look. The room itself was clean albeit dated...this hotel was clearly renovated late 90's or early 2000's and it shows in the fit and finish. Wifi was good, but hot water was not. They gave directions for whatever water-saving process they're using, and we were able to get the water to heat up, but it was warm to mildly hot...definitely not hot enough for me despite being all the way to "hot" even after letting it warm up. The elevators themselves we discovered could use a LOT more frequent mopping and cleaning. The floor was sticky or dirty several times in them. The lobby had free coffee/cookies/fruit/tea. We tried to get a cup of hot water to drink tea, but it was disgustingly clear they don't clean out the warmers between drinks. The hot water came out looking clear, but tasted very strongly of cheap coffee when we made our cup of tea. The breakfast area is an unmitigated disaster. $9.99 gets you made-to-order eggs and a buffet. We arrived at 9:40 (closing at 10) one morning. We had to wait to sit down...lots of empty tables but service staff who clearly lacked any hustle weren't keeping up. We got seated and ordered a coffee/tea for us. The server walked off before we could put in an egg order. Fine, we figured, we'll get her when she brings the drinks even though we were on a schedule. We surveyed the buffet... empty and clearly no one was going to refill the fruit, healthier options, or even the fat, sugary carbs that were 90% of what was on offer. We got up, chased our server to the kitchen, canceled, and walked out... we found another place not too far away that was not only dozens of times better in food, service, and attitude, but also came out to be less expensive. In short - while the facility might meet minimal standards for a Hilton low-end property, the service staff could use a serious attitude improvement, a major injection of "hustle", and perhaps even just a wholesale replacement. Although I generally stay at Starwood group hotels, I've loved lots of Hiltons, Waldorf, and Conrad properties in all the years I've been on the road. Not this one and not in Fresno... never again here. Even if the property is low end for a chain, I expect the staff to have a standard that reflects positively on the brand...and these folks are not it. read more

I'm a Lifetime Diamond Member. Expected much better treatment. Asked for late checkout of an hour to an hour & 1/2. Was denied that because they said they were booked the next day. Never even got close to my room to clean it when I was leaving & I'm currently in an empty parking lot. If you can't take care of your top business people you're not doing your job. Room was just fair as well. Overrated with bad customer service is not a good combo. Stay at the Marriott Courtyard. Just awful and disappointing on the treatment of Diamond member. Obviously the Diamond status means nothing here. read more

I am shocked after the experience my mother and I had with this hotel. When my mom comes to Clovis I usually book this hotel for her because my dog doesn't like her and barks. In the past we have had wonderful service and the rooms were in great shape. This afternoon started off wrong. I booked the room through hotels.com which I normally do depending on pricing. Right away I was told they did not have my reservation despite me showing them my email confirmation. Initially Sonya at the front desk said it would all work out when my mom checked out to not worry. She was very polite. Yvette swooped in taking over for Sonya. Right away I was treated like I did something something wrong by booking through a third party. She was very condescending and then mentioned the rate was 2x what I had booked for. At that point I called hotels.com to see what the situation was. There was no problem on their end. Apparently either this hotel has no fax or their fax was down. Once all was set regarding room reservation. Yvette was extremely rude. We got lectured about booking through a 3rd party again saying they had no fax and they had to email it to her. Once done checking us in she said our room on the 4th floor wasn't ready even though it was 3 pm check in time. We were okay with that she gave us a different room on the 2nd floor. The room was right by the elevator which you could hear from the room. The room shockingly was very worn...My mom was okay with that and there was a sign saying some construction, but the whole reason she wasn't staying with me was so she could have a good nights rest. My mom then went down to see if there was another room available or if we could wait for the room we were originally supposed to get. Yvette was very rude again stating she never said anything about a room on the fourth floor. She said that she could put my mom on the first floor either by an entrance or the elevator. We asked if every room was booked in the hotel...it seemed empty. She stated that all rooms were booked. Hard for me to believe especially since there were only 4 cars in the parking lot including my moms. You mean to tell me not only all rooms are booked, but also pre booked to room number. Yvette spoke to my mother and I like we were uneducated and second rate people. We stated we didn't mind waiting for a room to be cleaned. Yvette was adamant that only the rooms she stated were available. My mom was worried the new room would be a worse room and just stuck with the original room. Yvette after 20 minutes called and stated magically a new room had opened up. My mom switched to this one and it was quiet. As for the hotel itself, it was very worn. There were some signs stating pardon the construction, but cracked lamp shades and scratches all over the furniture didn't seam construction related. Also only 3 channels came in on the tv. I've booked this hotel for my mom in the past and she stated it was never like that. At the end of the day a poor customer service experience. The worn room or lack of tv channels aren't a huge deal, but after the poor service it was another annoyance. I've never had someone at a hotel or any customer service focused area make me feel that unwelcome. I will probably never book at this hotel again. read more

Drove 6 hours for a wedding nearby. Checked in and everything was fine. Came back from the wedding at 10pm to find our room was directly above a live jazz band playing in the banquet room. The bass was vibrating the entire room and we could hear everything. Called down to the night manager and he said the band would be playing till 1130. We definitely weren't the priority for the hotel. They moved us 5 rooms down and we could still hear it. Avoid Friday jazz night and try not to deal with management and you should have a decent stay. I would not stay there again. read more

Clean, decent place. I found the front desk and dining staff people friendly and helpful. I came for a family gathering and my relatives were advising us to stay in the "nice" part of Clovis but I wanted to get points for the hhonors program. One tip - just east of the hotel is a liquor store that has a selection of snacks, juices, toiletries etc, with more variety and probably cheaper than the hotel gift shop read more

First and LAST Hilton Hotel visit. November 21-23: After we checked in, we were informed that the TV service was out all weekend. Pigeons and ground squirrels in the vacant lot out our window were our only entertainment. Other guests' dirty dishes littered the hall for 3 hours after we checked in. Our keys did not work for the hallway entrances from the parking lot. 2nd floor ice machine was broken. There was no "how was your stay?" Or "thank you for coming" from the person at the desk when we checked out. No complimentary continental breakfast included. Way overpriced for what you get. The facility appears to be lacking in maintenance. Avoid. read more

24 hour cancelation policy means they charge you full amount- doesn't make sense to cancel as you don't get points for stay. Just keep the room and you get points instead of giving this hotel chance to double book the room. read more

Hilton is a great place to stay at but the money can be a little over. I would suggest to lower on the money and remodel to make the pools bigger. Some of the windows in the rooms look out to the back of the parking lots, not a very beautiful view so I suggest to fix this too. Everything else was great. Rooms were spotless. The location is close to lots of restaurants and shopping plazas. If I ever had to rent a hotel in clovis I would come back. The reason why I'm giving this hotel 3 stars is because of the pools and the prices but everything was great. I had a pleasure staying here. read more

I stay in a lot of hotels due to work and other travels. This is one of the nicer hilton gardens I have stayed in. It looks new and well done up. Never again! First year we tried to stay there they cancelled our reservation and gave away our room a hour before we arrived. Ended up at a Holiday Inn. This year, when we went to check in, the desk clerk was explaining that the same thing had happened to the party trying to check in ahead of us. Don't know where they ended up. We had PREPAID for 1 room 2 nights. The desk clerk had us down for 2 rooms for 3 nights. She got us our 1 room. We thought that was the glitch and were ok with it. The second night we came back to our room around 7pm, dropped off our camera gear and equipment in the room and went to meet friends at the bar. When we came back at 8:30 our room keys didn't work. Back to the front desk, to find out they had checked us out and assigned our room to someone else while we were at the bar! It took the desk clerk getting not one but two managers to re-issue the access to the room we had paid for! Don't risk your stay in Clovis but dealing with this mess. They can't get it right. read more

Hiltons should be an above standard stay but this Hilton has terrible plumbing. Anytime you get a small note that says their is a trick to get the hot water to work you obviously are dealing with a substandard Hilton. As a Hilton Diamond member, I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone traveling for work! I let the water run for 20 minutes trying to get the hot water to work; never did. So I called the front desk to ask if there was a problem with the hot water @ 3am in the morning. I was asked "Did I look in my room key packet for instructions?" ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?? Who in the hell looks in the room key envelope for hot water instructions? If there are special instructions for the bathroom, they should be IN THE BATHROOM! I ran out of time and was not able to shower. That's what I pay for when I travel; a bed and a shower. My experience at each Hilton Garden Inn (or any other Hilton property) should be similar. And I am sorry but I thought turning on a damn faucet was pretty universal in the steps to get that done. Horrible experience! read more

Very decent hotel, but should be able to provide quarters for doing laundry.

Beautiful property, comfortable beds, gourmet breakfast, jetted tub and on top of it all- great customer service. We drove 3 hours to Clovis for an 18th bday party, and decided not to make the late drive back so I booked a hotel room. My kids love a 'luxury' hotel, and were excited to hang out "out of town" before we drop my stepson to Fresno the next day. I specifically requested for a room with 2 queen beds, being that we're traveling with grown children and a baby. May have been a busy night- as the property ran out of 'doubles'. Disappointing, right? It was late, a long drive and we were tired. But kept our cool. Not like this never happened before at other properties. (What's up with overbooking?) Patience, patience. So, we explored all our options with the staff- they offered us extra blankets and pillows, complimentary breakfast, roll-away beds, etc. We didn't care much for breakfast since we didn't expect to wake up early enough for that meal. The hubby is a big guy, wouldn't fit in the single bed with another person and hates sleeping on floors, so he can't fully say OK. I can't mess around with the whiny hormonal teenagers either. Nothing seems to be working. As a last plea- I asked to check another Hilton property in the area that would accommodate our preferred sleeping arrangement. No luck. Ashley, the supervisor and another staff diligently work together to "fix things", apologizing to me and the hubby in between. And when all else failed - Ashley, recognizing her company's reputation at stake, graciously offered a free stay. And with all the perks that she has previously offered. Any other option would have been disastrous and ruined our weekend. Who would say no to a free hotel room, given the circumstance and albeit the temporary inconvenience? We just needed to make the best out of the situation. Breakfast food was surprisingly great- it was food I can truly rave about. The service was fantastic. Our impromptu family outing only got better- we were also afforded a late check out. Kids and us big kids enjoyed the heated pool. Super clean, well-maintained pool! I appreciate this a lot esp with our infant in a pool for the first time. We ended up having such a great time! Ashley- thank you for saving us from further grief and being instrumental in this great Thanksgiving weekend family experience. :) (Sorry had to take one star off- our reservation got screwed up after all.) read more

I usually stay with Marriot but on my most recent trip, they were full. So when I booked my stay with the Hilton Garden Inn I was excited for a new experience. Upon first view the place looks amazing inside. Nice lounge, friendly staff and great looking furniture. When I got to my room we realized that some of the pillows were down feather. Being one of my friends is deathy allergic to feathers we called and told thm and asked for standard pillows right away. About 45 minutes later housekeeping brought us pillows. One thing I was looking forward to was their mattress' that you could adjust from soft to firm. By the time we left none of us had felt a change in our beds. Our room was also missing the remote which the front desk said they could not give us one and during the 80 plus degree weather in the valley our air conditioning unit didn't work either. All in all I don't think ill ever stay here again. read more

I stay in a lot of Hilton's.... this year alone I have over 40 stays so I come to expect a certain level of consistency from any Hilton property. I have stayed at this hotel twice in the last two weeks and am not a fan. The service is hit or miss. We held a rather large event here and rented a meeting room and the Sales Manager Johnny was super helpful as was Lynn. They were both helpful and gave great service and were attentive to our needs and any changes that we requested. That being said the rest of the experience was lackluster at best. There seem to be some miss service opportunities with the front desk. Upon check-in they didn't have my Hilton info, no big deal but when they pulled it up they didn't pull up the correct information which meant a call to the front desk and then another trip to the front desk to physically show them my card because the girl at the front desk didn't believe me when I told her. They also misspelled my last name so that promoted another call back down to the front desk to resolve that issue. I wasn't offered the water or breakfast vouchers that come with me being a Gold member (on both trips) and had to ask about the benefit and both times was greeted with an "oh yeah, let me grab that" This coupled with a few other misses and a front desk staff who seems annoyed that they had to help me and didn't seem bothered or apologetic at all that there were service issues left me with a bad taste in my mouth. Another issue. Hot water? Not in this hotel! Two days of cold to luke warm showers have me rethinking my next trip down to this area and potentially looking for somewhere else to stay. I called down to the front desk and was given some solution to try that didn't work and was told they would make a note on my file that I had called.... ok, that still doesn't get me a hot shower. I will try not to come back to this hotel anytime soon. read more

I recently booked my group at this location. I called in our room list after the date for the list was due. Upon doing so, I was told that because I did not have a room list in when due, and that my rooms were released. As disappointing as this was, it was totally understandable, and so I had to rush to find a hotel that would accept my group on short notice. Today I was reviewing my credit card statement, and notice that this hotel had charged my credit card for the entire booking of my group, which we did not use. When I called and spoke to management to try and resolve this issue, their response was that no one would tell me my rooms were released, and that I was still responsible for the rooms, regardless if I used them or not. They refused to make any adjustments to the charges, and basically told me tough luck. This is totally unacceptable, and if I could give them less than 1 star, I would! This is some of the poorest management I have ever dealt with. My group and I will never stay at this location ever again!!! read more

I stayed at this property during the Thanksgiving holiday and it fell below our expectations, unfortunately. The hotel was quiet and the room was comfortable and well decorated. However, our room was not cleaned for the first 2 nights and I had to request to have it cleaned on the third day of our stay. At $179/night this is unacceptable. Additionally the water in the shower takes a long time to get hot, which wastes quite a bit of water. Considering that California is in a drought that is not good. read more

Rude front desk, poor fitness center, and a bad location. Inside the rooms, any noise from the hallway easily transmitted inside the room so you hear everything. I work in guest relations for a resort and I have really high expectations for service. I just happened to have family member passing through Fresno with co-workers they had to stay for a couple of nights unexpectedly. I set same day reservations over the phone and was required to email somethings back and fourth for billing and Dominique at the front desk truly exemplified excellent customer service by helping me. And her kindness and didn't stop there, she upgraded my travelers complementary to a little bit bigger of a room with a pull out sofa because the hotel doesn't provide roll away beds for rooms with two queen size beds for safety reasons and there were three men sharing a room. I did call and request that the water heater temps be turn up as the showers weren't hot enough for their liking, but this was done immediately. Please extend my deepest gratitude Dominique and the rest of your front office team for such generosity and patience in helping accommodate my family. Hands down the service provided by the staff, overshot my expectations by far. read more

Hubby and I stayed here 3 nights mid August. We were in town to visit with family. This hotel is located on a main drag in a decent area...never felt uneasy. The room was nice. We were on the 2nd floor not far off the elevators. Our first night was a Thursday - nice and quiet. Friday was another story. We had noise issues with either the people next to us or above us - it was hard to tell. Hubby thought it was next door so I called the front desk. They said they'd call the room but it didn't help. Fortunately the AC clicked on and it was enough time for us to fall asleep to the sound of the AC rather than be kept up by rude neighbors. I used the pool on multiple occasions and it was very nice. This hotel does not have complimentary breakfast which I thought it did. They have a restaurant which we ate at on our Friday night. We were worried we'd made a mistake when the gal at the bar said she was not only bartending but she was taking food orders and serving as well. In addition they did not have the appetizer we wanted to try - some spicy cheese thing I think. Anyway she told us the other menu items they were out of so we ended up with their basic burger and fries. It turned out to be a very good meal. Overall the hotel was fine except the bed was not comfortable...too firm...even though the mattress had dials on either side to customize. We didn't notice any difference at all. Bummer. read more
