Mystery brown liquid dripping from the door frame

Not gonna lie this is probably the worst Hilton location I've ever stayed in. They did not clean the rooms well at all and I'm second guessing staying at this hotel another night. The walls are also super thin (more than normal) I can hear everyone on my floor...literally-even the elevator. The restaurant is closed which I didn't mind too much but I am really disappointed in how this location is being unkept. It's a half step up from a motel. Think twice.

We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn in Clovis before heading to Kings Canyon and Yosemite with my parents and friends. All the staff were very kind and welcoming, which made our stay even more enjoyable. In particular, the dinner we had at the Hilton Garden Grill & Bar was absolutely delicious. The chicken wings and the draft beer, General Sherman, were excellent, and the ribeye steak was outstanding. My parents and friends loved food. If you're visiting Clovis, I highly recommend staying at the Hilton Garden Inn and enjoying a great meal to relax and unwind.

Rooms are clean but definitely out dated. The lobby is nice and clean as well. The gym is small and did not have a full set of dumbbells or yoga mats. The restaurant closes at 9:00pm but stopped taking orders around 8:30. It is frustrating trying to order food when the posted time is 9:00. Change the time to 8:30.

SURPRISE! Roaches Checked in late around 10p. Went to the front desk for a key. Got it and was able to get into my room. Put our stuff down and checked out the bathroom. The hugest roach was in the skin. Startled, we screamed and it ran back into the drain. I asked to be moved rooms and was told they were sold out for the night. Next day, we come back late in the evening and the roach is back in the skink. I again ask to be changed rooms and this time they have one available ( non equivalent but I didn't mind). No issues in the second room. After reading other reviews it looks as if there are roaches are on all floors not just level 1. Warning to all - THEY HAVE A ROACH ISSUE.

    Cockroach on upstairs bathroom floor

This hotel has cockroaches! Arrived late, checked in- got into our pjs.... Then found two tiny roaches running in the bathroom, killed them. Hoped it was random. THEN found another crawling on the floor between our beds! It being very late, after a long drive from LA- we just wanted to sleep so we asked for another room upstairs - thinking maybe it was a ground floor issue. We went and got our room key & moved all of our things upstairs. We checked the room, it seemed ok. No roaches in sight. We get into bed & go to sleep. One of us woke up during the wee hours of the morning to use the restroom... and we find an adult roach in the bathroom. Fantastic! Now we're afraid they're in our things, paranoid about being in the shower. So, that free breakfast... yeah, didn't want to eat any of that food knowing there are roaches on all the floors of the building. If you're ok with cockroaches... it's not bad.

It won't go lower than 66. And it won't run until it reaches 66. It shuts off all the time. I just got back from work and it's 81 degrees in here. The AC was still set to 66. Being comfortable while I'm sleeping is the most important aspect of a hotel stay to me. That being said, the breakfast is great. They have something different every day. The staff is friendly. The pool is a great temperature. I'd give this place 5 stars if it wasn't for that AC. I woke up drenched in sweat last night. It's gross. Even crappy hotels have AC that goes to 60, and will actually hit 60. This one only goes to 66, and it's always above that.

I called one week earlier and was told they could not guarantee us early check-in even being a Hilton Honors member, and the phone rep was rather unreceptive and dismissive of my request even when I explained the circumstances. When I went to the front desk, ***front desk clerk Leslie gave me a smile and warm welcome to the hotel. This is exactly what a weary traveler hopes for. I explained why we hoped to check in early and after some slow computer lag she was able to locate a room for us which made us very happy! She gave us instructions about where to park, where the elevators were, and the hours of the free breakfast. And after changing into our dress clothes, while walking through the lobby toward the parking lot, Leslie smiled and wished us well. This is exactly the type of employee any business should highly reward, she was outstanding at making us feel like valued customers (unlike the East Indian woman I spoke with a week earlier) and she clearly enjoys her work. Upon check-out the following morning, different clerks were at the front desk, a middle-aged Black woman and a younger man. I told them about our room - the bed closest to the bathroom had worn out springs since it sagged and made a loud noise every time I sat on it to get in the bed. They said they would address this and thanked me for notifying them. (One recommendation: have all staff wear an easily visible name tag.) So other than the phone interaction one week earlier, our hotel stay was excellent. The breakfast area was especially clean and well-maintained. But Leslie was the star of the show!

I arrived around 10:30pm and the front doors are unlocked. It is not the most secure hotel. When I walked up to the check-in counter there, it took a few minutes for the clerk to notice I had walked in. The clerk was behind a desk with his head down. Checking-in was no issue after signing a form and providing a credit card for incidentals. I was checked into a room on the 3rd floor. There is a large ceiling vent running extremely loud 24hrs a day. It's about a loud as a small Honda generator, which makes it difficult for a good night sleep. I posted a video for reference. Although the room is a bit dated, it is was in good shape. My bed was clean and fresh. As for the shower, it was clean but the cleaners missed a used bar of soap which was a little nasty. If you are into working out, the gym leaves a lot to be desired. It's a very small room out by the swimming pool. It only has a treadmill, elliptical & a small cable machine. There is also a washer, dryer and bathroom in the same room. All in all, it wasn't a terrible experience. I would definitely stay away from the 3rd floor if I stayed here again.

Our room on the second floor was quiet and had great water pressure and air conditioning. Our room had a king bed with a separate sitting room area, which made it quite comfortable. Breakfast was available until 9am (we met our friends for breakfast so missed it) and in the evening they put out a nice spread with soft drinks, cookies, nachos, berries, and taquitos. As my friends told us, it's probably the best place to stay in Clovis - plenty of parking, close to the freeway, and near old town. I showed my government-issued ID and regular ID as usual. The manager on duty refused to check us in without a formal work order. Because it was after hours, there was no one from our office available to immediately send over proof that we were there for work. The hotel then expected us to connect our work computers to their unsecured WiFi network, which directly violates our company's IT security policy. They also demanded we show internal company emails to the front desk -- something we are strictly not allowed to do. Zero flexibility, zero understanding of business traveler needs, and completely unprofessional. Corporate customer service later backed the manager instead of resolving anything.
