It would help if they mentioned they are inside another business, since there was someone sitting in front of their logo on the window. But it was worth hunting for! Their sauce seemed too sweet, until the spice kicked in after a minute. Their crust seemed too thin, until the chewy density proved to hold up so well. It didn't look like enough cheese, but it was really actually perfect. Service for take-out was sweet and prompt. This place is fairly easy to find however they are lacking the exterior signage on their storefront. It's a quaint little place between Rent A Center and a cellular business. There is indoor and outdoor seating however no alcohol beverages outside so sat inside. We ordered a Garden Salad and Caprese Pizza. The salad was delivered first and the ingredients were fresh and the pizza arrived shortly after. The pizza crust was thin and crisp, the sauce has a zest to it, and although they ran out of basil, it was still a delicious pizza overall. I stopped by here recently on a visit to the Big Island after a long morning spent between airports. What better way to spend lunch than at a local pizza joint? Hilo Pizza Company sells New-York style pizza comparable to the Big Apple itself using quality ingredients. Any of their choices look amazing, and if you're into a Hawaiian twist, they even offer Kalua pork as a topping option on their pizzas. Seeing as how we were going to be busy throughout the day, we opted for the lunch specials for our meal consisting of either 1 or 2 slices and a fountain drink over a whole 18" pie. Considering the location, it was an amazing deal that's hard to beat for a lunch out in town ($16 to feed two people!). For slices, the employee offered to make the slices either warm or crispy for those who like their pizza toppings and crust done a little more. Though the inside was beautiful and reminiscent of a pizza parlor in any modern city, we decided to enjoy the great weather with their outdoor seating. Passable pizza in Hilo. We needed something quick to have in our B&B after a long day at Volcanoes NP - our teen jumped on Yelp and selected Hilo Pizza Company. We called and ordered two large pizzas - pepperoni and bruschetta - for pick up, along with a chocolate chip cookie and a fountain soda. We drove up to the brightly lit plaza which houses HPC in the drizzle and the fog. The pizza was ready within the 25 minutes they promised it would be. The establishment was small but elegant, and the service was friendly. Total was a little over $50 before tip, and we paid cash. Back in our room, we popped open the pizzas and enjoyed them. They were fresh but didn't blow me away - I preferred the bruschetta, the others enjoyed the pepperoni more. Strangely enough, both pizzas tasted better the next day, which meant we didn't have to buy dinner the following evening! So I am glad we ordered from Hilo Pizza Company! read more

Nothing much was open in the area when we came back from watching the sunset at Mauna Kea, so we opted for pizza. The staff was very lovely and ambiance felt "homey" with the way they chatted with customers. $21 for an 18 inch pepperoni pizza was a great deal - just perfect for 2 hungry people. If we lived in the area (we came over from O'ahu to visit family), this would be our go-to pizza place. In fact, we came here twice in three days because we loved the pizza that much! Nice crispy crust, not too thick, not too thin - just perfectly right. As a pizza snub, I first was resistant to my husband's pick of the Reuben. We got the Bruschetta and Reuben toppings and they each were oh so ono. In fact, for our second visit, we just got the Reuben and were in pizza heaven. Fresh fast great pizza. Small little shop, no sign outside so I drove right past it at first. Had to really look for it. The best way to spot it is the crowd of people eating and hanging out the door. Only service 1 size pizza or by the slice. But the selection by the slice is pre-selected. I went to order and they said they would do a split pizza because my daughter only wanted pepperoni and I wanted to add pineapple and jalapeño to my half. I must of had a new a new teammate because I the middle of my order another teammate had to come take over. I explained to her what I was wanted. I thought the prize was high but the. Again everything in Hawaii is high, however the mix up was I ended up getting 2 pizzas. Opps. They were going to reimburse me money but hey the pizza was good, and how doesn't love leftovers. So we boxed up the extra pizza after sharing a couple extra slices with our other friends and the pizza made the trip all the way to Honolulu to share with our family that couldn't come to the big island. We ordered the 18 inch build your own with sausage, mushroom, and pepperoni, and it was fantastic! Pizza is okay, but really greasy. I put 2 stars for food and their cleanliness. They opened at 11- we got there at 11:05 for lunch and nothing was cleaned. Tables had food crumbs from the day before and same with the floors, they had dirt and footprints all over the ground. The girls watched me clean the table we sat at and didn't even think that they should clean the store. I used to love to order from this place. I left a good review because it was such a gift to have real hand made pizza with vegan cheese. The last 5 or 6 times I tried to order- they were out of vegan cheese. It's on their menu and website. So disappointed. We will go back to having to make our own. read more

Pizzas pretty good here. We ordered for delivery and got pepperoni and the Italian. Pepperoni was really floppy in the center but the taste was good if not soggy. They forgot to give delivery driver the salad and didn't offer any recourse when I called. Feeling disappointed as I normally have rav reviews for this place. I ordered the Caesar salad for the first time and wow-for $9 a kid could eat it by themself. Don't get this as a share item. We were wanting a pizza for lunch, but one of our requirements is that they offer arugula as a topping. And they did! We ordered an 18-inch with pepperoni, mushroom, extra cheese and arugula. This is just a little hole in the wall restaurant in a strip mall with a few seating areas inside and outside tables. The service was fast and the pizza was one of the best. They didn't skimp with the ingredients. When he brought it out to our table we told him how excited we were about the arugula. He offered to add more if we didn't think there was enough!! The pizza was amazing! My wife and I were headed back from the Volcano when we stopped by to get Pizza. The Owner, Tom greeted us and recommended the Italian Special and Kalua pizza so we did half and half since there were just two of us. You can taste all of the meat on the Italian Special and I just love the pickled red onions on the Kalua. This was one of our favorite places to eat while we were in Hilo.
