There is so much to say about these fine people but what I would say is that they are highly trust worthy and that they do care about people and give the best prices! I'm not from Arizona, I drove down from Nevada (not super long, some 5 Hrs) with my Lexus IS250 to come see them and I will do it again in a heart beat! Well worth the drive! The service is impecable! The shop is clean as can be! Staff and owners are there to help! I can tell it's ran by family and that they are VERY honest and fair! I'm someone that has had many years experience with cars needing repair. The 2009 Prius has some unusual challenges that many mechanics have insufficient experience to repair, and if they do, they over-charge for exaggerated diagnoses of repairs needed. Toyota failed to notify us of a recall on instrument cluster years back, but I'm grateful that this needed repair, out of my pocketbook, was solved by Wes and his team, that now served as a link to the best auto repair around! Brakes were squeaking, so I found this place on Yelp with a lot of good reviews. I figured it was worth a shot since it's close to home. My first impression was how clean and organized the garage looked. Kurt was very friendly, had my Honda Fit brought in relatively quickly, quoted us a reasonable price, told us it would be an 60-90 minutes, then offered a vehicle for us to borrow while the work was being done. The waiting area isn't very large and they have a TV in there, so we took the vehicle and got some errands done while waiting. We came back to get my car with the new brakes installed, used a Yelp deal to save some money, and not once was I offered an upsell on anything while I was there. They did what I asked and were honest about what they would do and how long it would take. I'll definitely be back. read more

I called Highline after seeing there great reviews on Yelp. I spoke to Wes there and explained we were looking to purchase a used car near this company and were in a bit of a hurry to have it checked out as we needed to purchase the car soon. We had heard a strange noise that sounded like it could be the transmission. Wes said to bring it buy and they could listen to it to see if he felt there could be a problem. We were to be there by 4:15 but my husband and daughter took a wrong exit and did not show up until nearly 4:45! However Wes still took the car out for a drive and came back and let us know it sounded fine and he did not feel there was any issues with it and we still hope there isn't but at least he took time out even though they were closing to check it out for us! I took my BMW to the dealership for a door lock issue and they "found" other issues that needed immediate service. They quoted me over $4k for the repairs they recommended. I held off and only had the door locks done because a friend had recommended Highline Import Auto. I figured it couldn't be any worse. So I took it in and gave them the quote from the dealership. They ended up not having to do all those repairs as they inspected everything the dealership quoted and it turns out I only needed to replace the rear brakes and recharge the a/c, everything else was fine. I was able to get a loaner car from them while my work was done, which only took 1/2 a day. I highly recommend you give Highline Import Auto a chance. Wes and his crew were friendly and professional. Wes and his team did a great job on my van. I gave them a laundry list to get done in one day, thinking there was no way. I was pleasantly surprised when they knocked it all out. We are a house with three cars that are well used. These guys are great! Super friendly, trustworthy, knowledgeable, and fast. They really take the stress out of car issues. The air-bag light on my daughters Accord came on - I immediately thought this was going to be a complicated and expensive fix. I couldn't have been more wrong - it was easy, inexpensive, and FAST. My '05 Suburban was leaking oil. Again I wondered how bad and again they took care of me and it was very affordable compared to similar jobs that I have had done at other shops. THE BEST! No joke DONT GO ANYWHERE ELSE!! I went to the Brent Berge Toyota and was quoted $140 just to find the problem with my Prius and was told that the cost to fix it would be starting at $400 but go up from there. I believe they can be and are a good repair shop, I wish I had something better to say. Just be careful and listen to what the owner Wes will tell you. Get it in writing upfront. After negotiating a fair price I thanked the owner for the "pay cash discount" and how the other repair shop wanted over a 1000.00 more. The next day or so the price went up significantly. I agreed with a trust (wife works with his wife). The control arms had to be replaced instead of just the ball joints, and the alignment will be covered ...verbal over the phone. A year later I am replacing bearings and brake parts when I notice not new control arms. I text and get a reply " boy this is the job that never ends", continuing with" I pulled up the reciept and it says ball joint replacement, no mention of control arms". ( comment stemming from my light ribbing on him and mainly because after the ball joint replacement I felt I had to take my truck somewhere else to do the alignment properly; We had some unprofessional dialect back and forth, accused me of extortion, and got my wife and his wife involved. Ya fun. Highline wanted to sell me new tires or rotate the tires to do the alignment over again which I understand can be related. I rotated them, two weeks later same problem, so I bought quality tires and alignment cheaper, closer, somewhere else. I distinctly remember him telling me control arms because I researched ball joints online. Some need to be pressed out or as in my 1998 dodge the uppers were riveted on and needed grinding to get them off to replace with bolt on style. I remember mentioning he can replace the whole unit instead of pressing out the old and pressing in new, whatever is better and easier. I know enough to understand the lingo. I attended all the auto mechanic classes except engines at Arizona Automotive Institute in the 1980's but did not stay in the field. Thats my experience. Maybe he learned something from this on how to treat people. read more

I will keep a lengthy problem brief, but this is not a shop to which I will return. I was charged approx $900 (a standard book rate for this) for repair of an oil leak that took them less than 3 hours, yet a leak persisted, requiring repeated trips back to them. I left each time with the feeling that they only wanted to avoid any responsibility for an inadequate repair and that they only wished for me to accept it and leave, at one point even being told that my 'personality' was the problem. At one point I paid another shop to look at the repair and they told me it was not up to the standards they set for themselves. Eventually Highline checked the torque on the bolts and told me one was not tightened to specifications and this appeared to solve the leak. After a series of quite unpleasant communications with the owner, he did make a minimal effort to make amends and said that there were some lessons they learned. (only because of this do I raise my rating to 2 stars) I sincerely hope so, but would urge others to be cautious. I have never before left a review anywhere for a service received, but felt compelled to do so here. read more

I have replaced 2 CV axles on 2006 Honda Odyssey last only 4 months then had a leak I brought my van back for repair then told me it's loose on the clamp they will re tight the clam but, They never re tight on my 2006 Honda Odyssey. The work was decent. Parts were cheap. Got charged about $300 labor fee for two simple problems. What I really didn't like was that they call you over and over from an unknown number after you get your car serviced and they make you go through a phone survey without even asking for permission. I chose to go to this shop because of all the good reviews it gets but now I'm thinking that they aren't really honest reviews. It's much easier to tell people how you really feel about the place when you can write about it behind closed doors. But when they call you directly and ask you how many stars you would give them and the reasons why and if they can use your reviews, of course they are only going to post the good ones. Sneaky. I've had several repairs done here on my 2005 BMW 645ci including replacement of cylinder head gaskets (with head milling) shock and strut mount repair, windshield and headlight washer pump replacement/repair, oxygen sensor replacement, oil pan gasket and sensor replacement and oil changes. They performed free 33 point inspections and free engine scans. The head gasket replacement took about a month to complete. There was a problem after completion of the job with some wires they put in the wrong position. They fixed this problem and the car has run fine since. I can't say anything about prices because I didn't comparison shop. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Overall, I can recommend this shop to others. read more

After reading the reviews I felt like this was a shop I could feel comfortable taking my vehicles to, locally owned, in the area, and I'd be supporting a local small business. I took my first car there for an oil change, good work they said on the invoice they reset my change oil indicator which they didn't and you almost need an instruction manual on how to do it, but not a big deal. My second vehicle a 2018 they did an oil change, changed cabin air filter, air filter, brake system flush, and 3 part fuel induction flush for $450. I received my vehicle back and called after noticing the AC unit was noticeably louder then when I brought it in. I talked to the guy I was working with and he was cool about it and said to bring it in that day and they'd take a look at it. Brought it in and was told nothing they did caused it but leaves might have got into the blower motor. I was floored because it wasn't making the noise before it went in, they wanted another $100 to take the blower apart and see if debris got in there. I understand things happen but to charge me another $100 to see what might have happened during the service on a 2 year old vehicle was insulting. I went back and forth with the guy Adam who was intent on proving why he was right and nicely offered to have me listen with the filter in and out and all I could say was it wasn't like that when it went in. All in all, I decided to just pick my vehicle up and not continue it as he wasn't willing to do anything other then explain to me why I was incorrect. I'm sure this is a great shop, it just wasn't a good experience for me, and the $100 and why I was wrong was more important then the repeat business on my other vehicles. read more

Wes, the owner, was very helpful. I thought something was wrong with the engine or transmission and took the vehicle to him to get an opinion. He drove it around the block and narrowed it down to lesser issues. He got the car on a lift and quickly nailed down the problem - the bearings in one of my wheels were badly shot. The problem was swiftly fixed and I got a tune up at a great rate, too! NOTE: I had the bearing replaced in another wheel weeks before going to Highline and the cost was 20% higher - Highline provided great honest service and saved me large $$!
