Biscuits and Gravy with eggs over medium.
Joe C.

Everything is getting smaller here. Notice how the plate is the same size as the fork. This is about half the amount of hasbrowns you get at other places. Maybe this is a good change for everyone's waistlines, but shouldn't the prices shrink in proportion to the shrinking size of the plates? Service was good. Tables were promptly bused. Food was prepared well.

My friends and I stopped in for lunch after Pickleball on a Friday at the nearby rec center. The restaurant is within walk-in distance so we decided why not? We were pleasantly surprised with the good quality service, food and the comfy homey feel of the restaurant, and wonderful service. We all got the Friday special, which was a choice of 1/2 tuna or fish sandwich which came with a cup of delicious homemade soup and a salad. 2 of us got the fish, and one got the tuna. We LOVED our experience! Can't wait to go back!

The food was outstanding. My wife had eggs Benedict and mine was Bisquits and Country Gravy and I swear it's been a good 6 years at least for me and I am so glad I came. AMY was an amazing server and she did very well and very polite. She served us with a smile and was a darling. The atmosphere was amazing and not too loud. I can tell you I am so happy to have spent my $40 for the week on such amazing food. Highly recommend and if you can ask for AMY, please do. She was outstanding and I am so happy I was able to go back and enjoy the wonderful food. AMY deserves kudos and a raise for outstanding service.

Gluten free french toast with a sausage patty on the side

We came in here on Memorial Day on the way to the airport and were so thankful that we did. They feed us quickly and got us to-go utensils and containers to take with us on our travels. The service was excellent and friendly. They have gluten free French toast which was excellent - they asked if I wanted it with cinnamon (which I did) and I would recommend (it wasn't too sweet - just perfect). Everything was affordable and there is easy parking out front. They really were so helpful in getting us out the door in time and well-feed, it was very appreciated.

Bone found in turkey pieces

A group of us ordered takeout dinners for Thanksgiving because we have heard good reviews from people who eat at the restaurant. We were unanimously disappointed with the flavor of most of the dishes. One person found two chunks of bone in their turkey. Overall I would reit is a mediocre dinner and won't be ordering there again.

Small, local cafe and bakery that is located in the Highland Park area of St. Paul. Worth a stop, even if it's for a cinnamon roll or another freshly baked item to go! Great service this morning from Amy for our dine-in meal. Coffee carafe at the table, even though only one of us was drinking coffee. LOVED the Eggs Commodore (Eggs Benedict with sausage)..the hollandaise was SOOOO creamy and smooth I'm surprised it didn't roll off my plate. Yes, I will be coming back here-for the rolls (if nothing else).

Love the food! The staff are amazing. And the Bakery rivals Keys Cafe! A fabulous place for Sunday afternoons or anytime you're looking for home-cooked food!

This place is a gem in the Highland Park neighborhood. Their breakfasts are to die for and the lunches even better. They have fresh baked good and incredible egg dishes and pastries (including homemade pie) which can be eaten at any meal. Our family has enjoyed omelettes, French toast and bakery goods as well as soups pot-roast and a fantastic tuna melt.

It's a really cozy moody interior, with *no big lights* aka great low lighting and comfy seating options. When we went, there were just a few other parties there so pretty quiet. I liked that we had a whole corner to ourselves with a sectional couch of sorts and some chairs. They close at 10pm on a Friday night, which felt absurdly early for a cocktail bar. But, we were able to order and drink one drink during the ~45 minutes we had. They closed up shop promptly at 10pm. They had a classics and a "rumors" section of the menu. I didn't think the signature drinks were overly unique, with classics like Paper Plane making that menu side. I had a pomegranate mojito which was good! Consensus was that the cocktails were good not exceptional, especially for the $16-17 price point. We ordered churros for the table which were a table favorite! I wouldn't go out of my way to come here again, but we enjoyed our time and could see this being a good option if you lived in the neighborhood and don't mind the early close hours.

We started with the cream cheese wontons (yes, a basic order, I know), but these were not your typical takeout wontons. The cream cheese filling was savory and flavorful, and the crunch was absolutely perfect. The chicken salad was so good. Super fresh with a delicious vinaigrette, and I loved the addition of the prawn chips for extra texture and flavor. The roast pork fried rice was amazing. So many flavors working together perfectly, and the sausage pieces in it were such a standout. The chicken sandwich was another hit. Huge perfectly fried piece of chicken with an herb aioli that made the whole thing so good. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. Only heads up: the location doesn't really have a visible sign, so it can be easy to miss. Look for the patio, and there's parking right in that lot. Such a great spot with seriously flavorful food and wonderful service. Definitely worth checking out.

The menu describes "Vietnamese roast pork," but what arrived tasted deep fried rather than roasted -- tough, flavorless, with unrendered fat that was still solid. Given the "lettuce wraps" framing, I'd expected something closer to ground pork; instead it was fatty slices that didn't match the description I envisioned. The thin rice noodles underneath were fine but plain and unseasoned, with scallions scattered over the noodles. The chicken sandwich was extremely greasy, and the heavy-handed sauce turned it into a soggy mess -- the bun fell apart almost immediately. It reminded me of Blue Barn's Nashville hot chicken (from the State Fair), but executed poorly. Maybe we came on an off night? Worth flagging: both dishes are listed as entrées but came without sides, and the menu only offers three appetizers. Depending on what you're in the mood for, it's hard to build a full, filling meal.
