We visited for breakfast this morning, and it was such a great experience from start to finish. We found free street parking about a block away, and the short walk was well worth it. We expected it to be packed, but we were seated right away. The restaurant wasn't overly crowded or noisy, which made it easy to relax, enjoy our meal, and actually have a conversation. Our waitress was incredibly friendly and professional. I wish I had gotten her name before we left because she provided great service throughout our visit. I started with the iced lavender oat milk latte, and it was delicious. We also shared the famous monkey bread, and it definitely lives up to all the hype I've seen online! We ordered it with both the cream cheese and caramel, and it was amazing. The monkey bread was incredibly soft, fresh, and the portion was huge. I've had monkey bread at other local coffee shops before, but the texture here is on a completely different level. For breakfast, I ordered the French toast, and it was made well. I appreciated that it wasn't overloaded with whipped cream. My husband liked the crispy bacon and his chocolate chip pancakes he said they were rich and fluffy. We'll definitely be back. I was looking for a new and exciting brunch spot and for some reason we always forget that there are a ton of restaurants out in Wayzata. So I found Benedict's online and thought it looked like a good choice. The restaurant itself is really bright open and airy. Lots of natural light and high wood beams. The restaurant employs an online wait list, which I love. So you join the wait list online, it tells you how long your wait is and the you can plan your arrival to minimize your wait. I was surprised that on a Saturday, we walked right in and were seated... it wasn't all that crowded (that said, there was a big No Kings rally that day so people might have been busy). At any rate, we were greeted and seated immediately at a nice table. I enjoyed the many options on the menu and also loved that you could order a single specialty pancake if you wanted one. I ordered the classic benedict. My husband got the tot hash. We ordered a strawberry nutella pancake to share. The pancake was good, though honestly the nutella strawberry topping was a bit meh. My husband said his tot hash was not what he expected (they seem to make their own tots and then deep fry them) but he did like it. My benedict was decent, but there was way too much ham and not enough hollandaise. I hate when people are stingy with the hollandaise. Coffee was good and strong. My peach mimosa was fine but honestly pretty small -- I'd be surprised if it was 8 oz. Service was OK. Nothing super major to complain about, but my mimosa wasn't delivered until I was almost through my first cup of coffee. The waitress clearly just forgot about it. She basically said so and apologized. I noted that many tables had lovely little bottles of water for when you wanted to refill your glass, but we did not receive one. It also bothered me a bit that there was a lot of "stuff" on the floor. Trash, bits of food, etc. I know that things get really busy at brunch spots on the weekends. But someone really needed to go around with a broom or a vacuum. It's just not what I expect from a dining establishment where I'm going to drop $80 on breakfast for two. read more

Stopped by here after the hot chocolate run. got on the waitlist and by the time we got there, our table was ready. The place was busy, the staff was very helpful and got us seated right away and got us waters. Spent some time looking over the menu and ordered a few things. The place is on the Main Street and there is street parking plus a parking lot about a block or so away. Good ambiance and clean restaurant with high tables as well as booths and tables. I got a steak Benedict and on the table, we got steak and eggs, the brunch burger, French toast, omelette, pancakes, side of the hot chicken and the burrito. The food took a few minutes to come out but it was a busy day and they had a full restaurant so that's understandable. The server was friendly and helpful and was attentive to our needs. My Benedict was good. The béarnaise sauce had good flavor and the steak was cooked to temp. The breakfast potatoes were perfectly crispy on the outside and fluffy and soft on the inside. The burrito was packed and had decent flavor and the steak and eggs were good with the same béarnaise sauce that was on the Benedict. The burger was overcooked but the egg on it was perfectly cooked. The kids were not a fan of the pancakes but the star if the show were the French toast. We shared one order of it and it was enough for the table as a sweet ending to the meal. Overall, this is a decent place for brunch. There are definitely other places that have better brunch in the cities. I wouldn't mind going back there if a group wants to go or if we are in the area. This is a brunch spot we frequent with its close proximity to where we live, reliability with the waitlist "wait times" and pretty spacious interior. The food is not the most "flavorful" on its own, but there are plenty of seasonings and sauces on the table - very Minnesotan. Service is always pretty great here, which I appreciate! Most recently, I tried to breakfast potatoes thinking they'd be the cute little cubes. They were big potatoes (hah!) so next time I'll go back to hash browns. We absolutely love this spot! We recently moved to Plymouth and we're looking for a nearby breakfast spot that wasn't super busy. My wife and I also really enjoy eggs Benedict so this spot made sense to try out. Plenty of parking nearby although might be a short walk to get to entrance. Hasn't been too busy when we go around 8AM on weekends. The service is great and the food is delicious. Highly recommend going here for breakfast/brunch. read more

This was my second time here, but my first visit was yearsss ago! Everything was better than I remembered - it's the best breakfast we've eaten out in ages (maybe ever?). Everything was delicious & the pancakes were served with real syrup, which is a BIG + from me. Service was great too, engaging but not overbearing. I thought of this place after a doctor visit in Edina. Not a long commute at all. I got the smoked trout benedict. Little pieces of trout that resemble salmon. I asked for a lot of Hollandaise sauce and he brought out a little boat of extra and didn't even charge me for it. He brought out extra lemon for it as well and I did use it. The poached egg was a perfect runny yolk. The bottom muffin wasn't hard on the teeth or to cut with a regular knife. A perfect brewed iced tea. I got the side of tots that I was persuaded to try since it is a scratch kitchen. They are huge. You can taste the scallion. My waiter Tyler was more like a personal valet catering to my every whim. We started eating breakfast at Benedict's not too long after they opened. Over the years, we have had had quite a few servers. With the exception of some trainees, they have all been quite attentive and did their jobs well, but all of them have been polite and cordial. One day, I was looking for something new, so our server, Jennifer, asked what types of food I liked. Hot? Spicy? Savory? etc. I told her what I liked and she offered up several suggestions. From that point on, whenever I was looking for something new, Jen would always have great Menu suggestions, substitutions, & add-ons which made our dining experience quite enjoyable. She also got us some great discounts through their annual Gift Card promotion, which at that time happened around late Nov / early Dec. The last thing I want to say about Benedict's is that whenever something went wrong like food being cold or not properly prepared, they have always made it right. We had heard good things about Benedicts in Wayzata so took a drive up to give them a shot. Don't sleep on this Western suburb restaurant. The breakfast food is banging and the service is impeccable. For vegetarians, if you take meat out of a dish they will even offer to let you sub in vegetarian options like avocado for free! Which is unheard of nowadays. We shared the Monkey Bread to start which is a traditional monkey bread, but you can get a combination of Caramel AND Cream Cheese topping. I am gluten free so that's a huge plus (+) - they have gfree pancakes, bread, etc. Well since this place is called Benedict's - it would be weird not to get a Benedict. Right? I got the original Benedict with gfree bread and a side salad...which consisted of greens, Parmesan, and red wine vinaigrette. I couldn't get enough of the refreshing side salad. The Benedict was delish. Hubby got the huevos rancheros and the kiddo got the doughnuts with Nutella. Yummmm! The service was okay but nothing spectacular. The booths and tables and seating areas are super cozy! Love the high ceilings and decor. We came from CO for a wedding and found ourselves here for brunch one of the days. What a great place! Our sever was Tom and boy does he know his stuff! My man knows what to suggest and how to upsell!! He was spunky and on it. Only negative was he suggested a drink to someone and it wasn't liked by anyone at our table. He said no problem you don't have to drink it, we'll get you something different. He still charged us for the drink and it just so happened to be the most expensive drink on the menu. Would have appreciated it being taken off the check since it wasn't liked and wasn't drank. The food was delicious and the menu vast. Their theme of the menu seemed as if it was pesto because almost every dish had some sort of pesto take. Everything was Delicious! The restaurant is spacious and hip. Happy faces everywhere! We were able to get on the waitlist from the Yelp app and quickly seated for a group of 6 as soon as we got there which was super convenient as we had two littles with us. Husband and I ordered the monkey bread to share and got the combo which was a really great compromise cause we got to try both cream cheese and caramel flavors. I prefer my monkey bread to be more like a cinnamon roll in texture and not hard but it felt a little over baked but still yummy! I got the standard breakfast with the breakfast potatoes, bacon, scrambled eggs and the sourdough toast. The toast was thick and perfectly toasted, came with butter and a delicious strawberry jam. Came with about three pieces of bacon or so which was great! But the potatoes were really big pieces and not my fav. Service was great, atmosphere is very modern, and love the high ceilings. A cute place that appears to be downtown Wayzata. It's a very popular place, so it's best to get on the wait list. There was about an hour wait on a late Sunday morning. When coming to a place called Benedict's, someone in your group is obligated to get an eggs Benedict. I tried the Smoked Trout Benedict. It's a smoked trout cake, bell pepper, dill hollandaise sauce and green onion. It was good but not great. It was a little bit fishy for me and that lasted a good part of the day. The poached eggs were a bit over-cooked. The $13 bloody Mary's were just okay. It took almost and hour to get our food (not an exaggeration!) and that was after waiting an hour for a table. I completed two Bloody Mary's before our food even came. Maybe that was their plan? Eating here was a half-day long event. After about an hour after ordering, I told a staff member that if our food wasn't here soon, we would cash out and leave, since we had to bring someone to the airport. Our food came 30 seconds later. It would've been nice if they were a little apologetic and maybe gave us a free drink or two but nope, nothing. Pretty disappointing and for that reason, I will not be back. read more

Stopped by Benedict's a few weeks back while a friend was visiting for brunch. We decided that we wanted to have a special brunch near Lake Minnetonka and have heard that Benedict's is a great place to go. We made a reservation pretty last second which was great, and when we got there, we were able to request our table be outside on the patio which was excellent since the weather was so beautiful. Although Benedict's is close to the water, I have to highlight that the patio has absolutely no view of the water, although it is a still nice sidewalk patio. The menu is pretty expansive with many types of Benedict's along with other popular breakfast/brunch foods. I decided to go with one of my favorites - Gravlax Benedict. This was a decent Benedict, the egg was well cooked and there was plenty of lox which I enjoyed. There were some unusual additions which I think took away from the meal a bit - mainly the confit tomatoes. On their own, they did taste great but it was a little strange for me in the Benedict, but to each their own - I am sure this makes a lot of people extra happy. I had the side of hashbrowns, they were alright - nothing to write home about. Overall, it was a decently solid experience - definitely not very memorable, but still a good meal. read more
