Matche brown sugar for $8
Michelle F.

Great service. Loads and loads of Boba. Good value. I got a matcha brown sugar bubble tea and was surprised that they put three times as much Boba when compared to other places. Super satisfied and happy. I love Boba and this is my go to for a no frills type of drink in chinatown. It's a hole in the wall joint hidden in a little shopping area. But it's definitely worth it and it tasted fabulous. I prefer going to no frills kind of places that don't have the higher price for a nicer ordering area. Since I got my drink to go anyways. So this was a perfect treat on a budget!

Taro Taro Ball Milk

This place brings me joy. During quarantine, I decided to embark on a Taro Milk journey to try a bunch of different places. This has been one of my revisited places. My favorite is the Taro Taro Ball Milk because I love the smoothness of the taro paste, paired with the chewy taro balls, and just milk. I would be open to trying other Taro items since they have a full series, but I just can't help going to my go-to every time I come since I know i'll love it. Price, quality, and flavor were all on point! Fun fact, if you order through FOD, you also can get a discount!

New local bbt brand. Offers a variety of drinks and desserts. Prices are competitive for a new store. Spacious. Ambient. Lots of selfie spots. Gimmicky washroom option. Drinks were pretty good. Enjoyed the roasted milk tea. They offer a "surprise me" option if you don't care what you get.

We stopped by here the other night and had a really positive experience. Employees: The employees are so friendly and helpful. They were very personable and helped us both order items we had never tried before. The Ambiance: The ambiance was really cute. This is a small bubble tea shop with a few tables and the decor includes a wall of cute adorable ducks. The Food: I ordered a hot taro ball milk tea and it was absolutely amazing. It had taro balls in the drink in place of tapioca balls, since the drink was hot. The taro balls were sweet, chewy and delicious. I actually liked it more than tapioca. I ordered the drink with the least amount of sugar and it was still really sweet. My boyfriend ordered a more plain bubble tea and his was lacking sweetness. He also ordered his drink with the lowest level of sugar. He actually wished he ordered my drink instead. BOnus*** this restaurant has dairy free milk alternatives for vegans and people who suffer with lactose intolerance. Would I Return? Absolutely!

Purple rice yogurt drink

Stumbled upon Higher after a late dinner in Chinatown. Was pleasantly surprised as to how unique their decor was with the duck wall. I loved the purple rice yogurt drink as my dessert for the night - not sweet, light and delicious!

Their purple rice topping is so good. Follow me on IG for more photos.

Located down the stairs of Chinatown. The vibe is different. Chinese rap fills the room. It has energy. Bubble tea is really good. The toppings are fresh and has a nice bite. I recommend the taro balls. They also have the peach gum for the calorie conscious individual. They even have an option for when you don't know what to order. Another thing that makes this place so fantastic is that that you can also eat desserts here. My go to is the bunny pudding. They also have traditional Chinese desserts and also bingsu! While you wait for your desserts or drinks you can see all these Instagramable backgrounds. This a locally made store. It's different from all the other bubble tea places that are implanted throughout the city. Yum!

Milk tea with golden tapioca

Went for bubble tea this evening and the experience was so fantastic! The three employees were all so friendly. I was having trouble hearing them and they were patient, explaining things over when I couldn't hear. Their service was really warm. I ordered the higher pearl nai chai with golden tapioca. It was so good! It tasted very fresh and I loved that the tapioca did not make me feel heavy. Will definitely visit here again. Happy I opted to try somewhere new and local. Highly recommend.

I like to try new things/restaurants/ dessert places. Enjoyed their bubble tea a lot! Didn't expect it could really happen to get the real Taro in Toronto! Omg! My most fav type of bubble tea ever! Must try: Taro taro milk tea/milk--ask 0% sugar, you can taste the real crushed fresh taro! Soooo sweet! Miss home soooo much! Oolong milk tea is pretty nice too! I like their special milk tea list :) Also, the location is REAL convenient, It's on Dundas. Just 2 mins walk from one of my fav Chinese restaurants! Really happy to came here and try it out the new bubble tea place! Hoping to come here again soon!!!

Love their bubble tea! The staff here is friendly and the drinks are great. I tried their higher milk tea with taro tapioca. Just the right amount of sweetness. Their mango honeydew slush drinks are great too. Very refreshing! Check out IG: @ooi.eats for your next food adventure!

purple rice yogurt & lemogurt bobo got juice

Review is from an earlier visit in the beginning of March (yes I know I'm very late) Can I get any more higher than this place? I was here for a BTS event and I'm glad I was able to go! Their interior was pretty cool with neon lights and there was also a cute shelf with the rubber duckies on it. My friend and I got the purple rice yogurt and lemogurt bobo got juice and honestly they were both pretty good! It seems like purple rice is really uncommon so a good unique thing to try. The lemon one was super refreshing, kinda thick juice with the popping bubbles instead of the ordinary tapioca. What I love about this place is that they have milk alternatives for people who prefer something non dairy which is extremely rare for bbt places, so that's awesome. Would I return after quarantine is over? Definitely

So many amazing toppings especially peach gum and taro balls!!!

Best peach gum bubble tea in entire Toronto. I literally had it 2 out of 3 days when I visited from Vancouver. Melt in mouth peach gum which is super difficult to cook without being too hard or crunchy. Order their number four or roasted oolong peach gum and taro balls. They even have oat milk substitute if u need. Ask for half sugar. Bubble tea heaven. If they had one in Vancouver I would go weekly.

Pearl milk tea

Lots of selfie spots. They offer a "surprise me" option where they will pick the flavour you get. I got the normal pearl milk tea at 50% sugar with the tapioca, which I personally think was super good. They offer a mini size for their milky BB series which is an interesting option if you don't want too too much to drink. Overall, I would definitely visit here again.

Go to Onezo if you want brown sugar milk :/. The bubbles here are hard and the size is even smaller.

Leslieville

Small bubbletea shop that also serves pastries and Filipino meals…read more Their standout offering, of course, is the bubbletea. The tea is loose-leaf, so is elevated from the typical bubbletea. But it's the tapioca that really makes the drink shine with how fresh and bouncy they are. For a tea shop, this place also has really good food. Tried the scones and they were super buttery, very flavourful, and were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside like all great scones. We also got some Filipino meals - the lechon kawali and lumpia super crispy, the bangsilog had a good portion size for the price, and the halo-halo was refreshing. Place is mainly a takeout spot, but there are a couple of small tables to sit 4. Service is friendly. Tea offerings are extensive. Worth a drop-by.

Lovely hidden gem spot in the East End. It's a small cafe located in Greenwood Ave and Gerrard St E…read moreby the Leslieville area. Walking in, there's a great amount of cakes, cookies, and drinks. Cookies: The matcha white chocolate cookie was freshly made. Quite soft and delicious. Reasonably sized cookie. Yema cake: It was my first time having the Yema cake so I was looking forward to try it. I got the ube flavour and a soft chiffon cake texture. It wasn't too sweet and was perfect for a nice small dessert. The staff were friendly and the service was good. It's too bad there's limited seating as it would be great to dine-in. I definitely want to come back to try out their drinks!
