I've been coming to Highstone over 8 years, and the new management has made some noticeable improvements! The front seating area has been updated. There also used to be a musty smell that I noticed during previous visits, but I'm happy to say that it's completely gone. The new massage therapists have also been great. I had a massage from Elle and requested light pressure, and she listened to my instructions. The massage was super relaxing and exactly what I needed. It's great to see a place I've visited for years getting these upgrades! I will return soon. read more

I came into today as a walk-in and they told me to come back in 40 minutes( everyone was tied up). I came back 30 minutes later and walked in with 4 young boys. They allowed them to sign in and request 4 massages. The lady looks at me and says "come back 1 hour". I explained that I was returning like I was asked to do. She went to go get someone after telling me I needed to come back. The owner comes over to me and tells me "come back in 1 hour, sorry 4 people". I walked out- to never return. Terrible customer service! This place has just gone down with the change in management. I want give them zero stars! They are selling Groupons without discosing the conditions for redeeming only Mon thru Thursday. The person I called to make an appointment was rude and unaplogetic, told me to get a refund instead! Don't waste your time. No masks. The guys seem a little creepy and keep staring. I only got a foot massage. The guy that massaged me was staring at me. I would just try to close my eyes so I wasn't weirded out, but then would find him making a funny/weird face. Another guy came by to give me a towel or something and reeked of smoke. I couldn't breathe and then the smoke smell just lingered for the rest of my massage and even when I left. It was horrible and nowhere near relaxing even for just a foot massage. The massage itself was terrible. I had to keep telling the guy more pressure or lighter pressure when he was massaging my bone or the sides of the knee. Multiple times. My fiancé and I chose to do the 60 minute combination reflexology massage which included 30 minutes feet and 30 minutes full body for $39. We were seated and given a large basket of warm water to soak our feet in for about 5 minutes. Then they come over, pour the water out, dry your feet and begin massaging. I could immediately tell the employees here were trying but they didn't have any knowledge of reflexology and pressure points. 50% of what she did was painful. I have been to the Coppell location previously when it seemed to be under different management and the massage was much better. This time around it was extremely disappointing, the staff themselves were very distracted, constantly speaking amongst each other so it was difficult to relax. My masseuse even changed a couple of times as they seemed to be switching out. This "full body massage" was only in the prone position. There was no turning over to lay supine like there typically is for a "full body massage." I was glad I used GroupOn and didn't pay full price. Management should also teach their employees how to use the GroupOn app, it took about 10 minutes and three different employees to figure out how to scan my vouchers. It was difficult to communicate as well, it seems that nobody spoke English this time around. read more

Went to get a massage yesterday as my regular massage place is out of commission from the snow storms last week. All together the massage was okay, I truly don't go in with high expectations but normally I do get a good massage. This is not a complaint against the employees at all-- I know they work very hard and are just following their protocols the employers sets for them. Previous to this recent massage, I've been to this specific location at least 20 times so I know the routine-- we would lay down in the black chairs that lay back and start with our feet soaked in water while getting a face/head massage. Then after soaking they would massage your feet, legs and arms, then you'd flip over and they massage the back of your legs, back and neck and that was it. Now we get no foot soak, no foot massage and I asked for the full body 60 min option. What kind of full body reflexology massage doesn't include your feet? And why are we laying face down for the entire 60 mins? Is this a Covid protocol? If so, everyone takes their mask off anyways when they lay face down-- you'd suffocate if you didn't. Laying face up with a mask on should be sufficient as it is in other massage businesses I frequent. Basically I got a back massage for an hour, which is fine If that's what I asked for. Also he barely used any lotion? I'm just so confused as to what this place is now, reflexology is supposed to have lotion and definitely should include a foot massage. I understand not doing a face massage as that would be difficult to perform over a mask but there used to be a sign up front showing you all the little spots on your feet and what they correlate to in the body-- that is literally what reflexology is! The ambiance wasn't any better-- it smells like mold inside and they have the tables right next to the front desk so you get to listen to the receptionist cell phone going off and the credit card machine beeping throughout your session. Also they didn't have the air on at all and it was too warm and a little musty. I left with red cheeks and make up smeared from slightly sweating. I remember back in the day this place used to be so nice for the price and management was on top of everything. It's possible that management has changed but it's very unfortunate if this is going to be the norm from now on. Absolutely loved going to High Stone today! I was referred here by my doctor about three months ago and then tried a couple of other places. I wish I would've come here first as no place I went to before compared to this spot. I was a little nervous walking in as it was my first time getting reflexology done. I was put to ease when I walked in and explained to the man up front that the upper part of my back was hurting badly. He radioed to the gentleman about my needs and then I was escorted back to a large and open room. The room had about 12 tables and I was asked to remove my shoes. I laid back and finally relaxed! The calming music, lavender and eucalyptus scent, and my reflexologist hands took me away. It was a wonderful balance of a massage and reflexology. There was not one part of me that did not relax! I loved that my feet were soaked while pressure points on my head and neck were focused on and massaged. My feet were then massaged and then my back. Wow! After my feet were massaged I felt a big release in my back. Once my session was done I felt so relaxed and sleepy! I wish that I did not have to go to work, but at least I would go to work in a relaxed and happy mood because of High Stone! I made my next appointment for next week! Disappointed with the recent management changes. They don't let you request your massage therapist or make appointments anymore. They also won't honor any previous balances or rewards customers had prior to their closure. I do like the new tables/chairs & appreciate the staff giving the massages as the majority of them are hard working. I will most likely start looking into other reflexology places in the area. Pros: cheap 60 minute massage, quiet and relaxing ambiance, friendly/prompt service. Cons: my masseuse was too rough.. I had to tell him multiple times to lighten up on the pressure and after a few times I think he understood. He also was "all over the place." Rather than taking a head to toe sort of approach he did arms, then legs, then head, back to the arms etc etc. Perhaps he was new or inexperienced maybe? The other guests seemed to enjoy their massages so I will be sure to schedule with another masseuse if I give this place another shot. read more

I noticed the special for the 60 minute massage and thought I would check it out. Should have known it was too good to be true. I was brought back to an open area where I could hear everything and everyone. They had me lie face down and threw some towels on me. Between all my clothes and the towels I could barely feel the masseuse "pressing " up and down my back. They squeezed my neck a few times and then rubbed my bare arms with no oil or lotion. Finally they squeezed on my legs and did one tap on each foot. This is the worst massage I've gotten in a while. Don't waste your money here. read more

However, accidentally stumbling across High Stone on my way into Tom Thumb was such a happy accident. I came in at 2pm on a weekday and they were able to accommodate me. Since I still had grocery shopping to get done, I chose the 45 minute reflexology for $29.99 and, because it was my first time, I got 10% off by checking in on Yelp! They bring you back to the room, which is an open room with lots of beds next to each other. After putting your belongings in a small basket and putting your hair up (if you've got long hair), you lay down on the bed and you're covered with a long towel across your body. You begin by getting your feet soaked while they massage your head and ears. Then they move to your feet and calves, where they spend the most time doing reflexology. After that, they flip you over and work on your arms, back, and legs. I could see how other people thought it was too rough, but I felt it was the perfect amount of pressure. Definitely tell your receptionist if you prefer light pressure. read more

I had just been at the salon for my regular color appointment and was complaining about the pain in my neck and shoulder, my hair stylist recommended that I stop by and try the Reflexology place around the corner;their 60 minutes for $30 service. I drove straight to High Stone Reflexology and walked in with out an appointment. While they're no longer offering 60 minutes for $30, I did request the deep tissue 30 minutes for $29.99. They have a big dark room with many massage beds side by side. That setting took me back a minute, but once I was settled; completely dressed, covered in a towel, I was able to quickly block out everyone around me. I received the most intense deep tissue massage I have ever had. By the next day, I was feeling really good. The tension in my neck and shoulder was nearly gone. I will definitely go back. read more

Came here for reflexology for 70 mins for $35... I normally go to foot master but thought I would give this place a whirl. We had to wait a little longer, but it was because the person before us asked for 15 mins extra...must have been a good massage! So, they comped us about $10 off our price but we still got our full 70 minutes. I like that they did this on their own, to please us. The massage itself was perfect. You lay on a huge leather couch, it's not in separate room though so please keep this in mind. This is one of the reasons why I couldn't give them a full 5 star. Let me explain further. So they let you put your feet in warm water, and then start massage facing up, from head to toe. Then facing down, and on your back and shoulders. It's such a great feeling. You keep your clothes on for this massage. The things I did not like, one lady came in, she could not lay on her back so for about 20 minutes she stood there explaining to the lady why she could not lay on her back, and I am thinking...can you please go back to the front desk to discuss this? Then about 10 minutes before my massage ended, someone's phone goes off with an Indiana Jones theme song for almost 3 minutes...and it was LOUD. Goodness. Definitely ruins a massage! Another time I came here for an oil massage, it was for 60 minutes, nude, and it was $60. It was great! I think I fell asleep during parts of it too haha. I am a regular here! This place does a great job! They are very reasonable in price! 60 minute massage for only $30! Can't beat that. They offer different pressure levels to your comfort and needs. I've always opt for a deep tissue massage so I would always request medium to firm pressure. They have great hours and the location is not too far from me. She fixed my intense back pain in just 30 minutes. She even accidentally (or maybe on purpose?) popped my trouble shoulder back in place. Did not have a good experience. I mentioned some specific accrue problems I was having in specific places that n my back. Therapist was to have gotten message but he didn't work those areas any more than anything else. I couldn't tell him because he didn't speak English. When I came out I told front desk I wasn't happy with service and asked if I could get a credit to come back. She said she had to ask the manager and call me back but never did. Horrible experience. I try a lot of similar places and this one is by FAR the worst. First, the place smelled like urine....perhaps wet carpet over time. The masseuses talked loudly during the massage! When I had questions, no one spoke ANY English. We made a reservation and they still were 40 minutes late. I had a full body massage and I never even go to turn over. 60 minutes face down with your head in that donut hole is a long time! Finally, they overcharged my card and did not tell me. Where do I start?? Sue, the lady that gave me my massage, was not good at all. Her medium pressure was about as light as could be. Then she didn't understand my English in asking for deeper pressure. Then she proceeded to put lotion on my hair!!! Seriously?? Why would you do that??? Really annoyed me...now I need to almost shampoo my hair before going back to work. It's all greasy now. I finally had to tell her to stop messing with my hair. Just have some common sense...I came during my lunch hour, dressed for work. At least ask if I'm going back to work or if I want lotion in my hair. Which I think I'd say no to that every time. I have to believe Sue was new...I sure hope so. Came here on a Saturday afternoon with appointment to try out the 70 minute head/scalp, neck, shoulders, back, legs, and foot massage. The interior was clean, quiet, with comfortable leather massage beds. The massage therapist was very experienced and did a great job balancing pressure and comfort. I giving 5 stars b/c of the excellent quality, service, and ambiance all at a very affordable price. Would definitely go back. So I read the great reviews and thought my wife would give this place a try. The reviews were perfect and the site looked like a much nicer place than the one across the street by Sprouts we like. I mean $34.95 for 70 minutes sounded awesome! I called and made an appointment for 7:15 and we got there about 7:12. We were told it would be a few minutes, maybe 10, one of the therapists was busy. After about 10 minutes, the girl came over and said she could take my wife, but not me, unless we wanted to wait another 10 minutes. We said we would wait, no reason for her to go in alone and have to wait for me at the end. We got invited in and the inside is nicer than our normal place (foot master). We laid down on our recliners with the hot water buckets and they started massaging our head and neck areas. The massage here is much firmer and, while I realize some people love this, I do not like muscle separating pressure. I was hoping my wife's was better, but she was sniffling from a cold that was coming on and I couldn't tell if she loved it or hated it with the cloth over my eyes. The only reason I gave this a 2 was that the foot massage part of this was not bad. I even fell asleep for the few minutes, but then the leg and hip massage and the flip and even harder pressure point massage. All in all, the place is nice and the deal is ok, but across the street, for $5 less you get about the same amount of time due to the time they spend going to get warm towels or dumping the buckets (took longer on both). My wife and I have been patronizing this establishment for quite some time now. Service is always kind of iffy. On yesterday 11/21/2021 my wife and I visited and were beyond in disbelief at the service we received. To start, we were waiting for about 15 mins before anyone came to begin our massages. The "warm towels" they gave my wife were extremely cold. They repeatedly left to check in/check out customers and didn't add any more time to the service to make up for it. They stayed on their phone for most of the massage making it hard to relax. The massage itself was less that average to say the less. There seemed to be no technique at all. No matter the level of pressure you select on paper, they will do what they want to do. And finally, at the check out we decided not to leave a tip due to the poor service. The guy asked us repeatedly were we going to leave one and we stated no each time. He became angry and snatched the copy of the receipt out of my wife's hand. This situation could have went left quickly due to the disrespect he became to display however we kindly left. Please save yourself the trouble and save your money! PreCovid I came here & had great experiences. It was also always pretty busy due to the reputation of good service. I decided to go on a whim and noticed a sign saying they were under new ownership. I didn't think this would matter much but I was not expecting the worst massage of my life. I thought maybe it was just the person I happened to get but my daughter who also came with me said the same thing. We paid for 1 hour of a hot stone and oil massage, my daughter and I were in the same room and the ladies were talking loudly at first, I had to ask them to stop so we could relax. They mostly stopped after that. They only gave us a small towel instead of a blanket like the previous owners and most massage places will use, they only did our back side and their form of "massaging" is aggressively rubbing the oil on you with their elbows and shaking your body while doing it. Both of us also felt that they put our arms in uncomfortable positions and even tho I corrected her often she kept returning to do what I asked her to stop doing. At checkout I still gave a tip, but not a good one as I didn't feel they even deserved one and she even questioned my tip and they charge $1 extra on CC transactions to top it off.
