This was my first time getting a massage like this. Usually, I go for a Swedish massage but the price and good reviews had me curious. I thought it would be weird being in a communal room while clothed, but it wasn't at all. The lighting was dim, they have a box for your belongings, and soft instrumental music was playing. I got the 70 minute special, and only had problems with the pressure at one point, but that was just a tender spot on my shoulder. Everything was firm but not painful and she asked multiple times if it was ok. I really appreciated the stretching and pulling on my arms in addition to the massage. It really made it feel like everything got worked out. If you're a newbie and a woman, I would suggest wearing shorts, a loose tank with a sports bra, and shoes you're ok with getting a bit oily. I wore gym clothes and cheap flip flops and that was perfect. They do massage under your shirt on your shoulders, so that gives them lots of room to maneuver. The set up is that all/most clients are in an open room on their own low table, unless you book an in-room body massage. They use towels and a thin sheet like cloth to cover you while they massage your back and upper legs, the rest of your body they will be massaging on skin with oils. I suggest you wear shorts or comfortable leggings/pants that can be rolled up for your foot and lower leg massage; for upper body a tank top with no ridges and for the ladies either no bra or a soft thin fabric sports bra. I've been getting massages at places like this almost exclusively (Asian foot massage focused on reflexology) in Los Angeles and have had great experiences, so both myself and my MIL were pleased to find this place. It's very affordable for massage and locally owned so when you pay and tip (which you should tip generously) it's staying within your community. Walked into this place on a Saturday night without a reservation. The lady at the front was so nice and they got me in very fast. I did the 70 min special, which included basically a full body massage and foot massage. I was so impressed with the whole massage! While I asked for a "medium" pressure Swedish, I would describe it as a deep tissue. So, if you aren't looking for someone to really dig out the knots, this may not be for you. They were at capacity and as luck would have it my masseuse was also the receptionist so any time someone came through that door she had to go greet the customer/s. In short my husband's massage started before mine and she was done with me way before his was. No 70 minutes for me between the interruptions and getting everyone coordinated in the actual massage room. Also, the pedi is not a pedi with polish and parafin wax and such. Do they always understand which parts of my body I need specific attention on, no. But at the end of the day, I've received some really good massages at an unbelievable price. Got this as a gift because my spouse has friends who claimed to be picky about massages love this place. It is a chair massage place, which means you are in a room with a lot of other people and fully clothed. I have been to other chair massage places and walked out feeling like soft butter (good). Part way in I was wondering if it would be rude to get up and leave. There was a lot of hard pushing, but it was not a massage nor did it relieve tension areas. It was rather annoying to hear the dogs in the next door business barking like crazy. Would I go back? Hell no. I've gone to this place for almost 2 years and averaged about once every 1-3mo. It was usually a fine experience for the price and something to get me by for a bit. I'm actually a massage therapist and I would even tell my clients to use this place if they were in a pinch and I was not available. All of the aforementioned info is why I gave at least the 2 stars. However, I am now getting to the reason I will never go back nor refer anyone to them again... On my last visit, the man working on me brushed his penis on my hand. Now being a therapist I understand that sometimes a body part may touch your client so it did not alarm me initially. However, when it brushed against me a few more times - enough to know that he was either wearing very loose boxers or nothing at all under his pants - I could tell it was intentional. By the time I got myself out of shock and decided to do something, the session was over. Upon checking out, I told the owner/manager Chris what had happened. His only response was that he would not put me with that same person the next time. No apology or offer to get the guy out to the front to discuss anything. (there was a large number of people receiving massages and I didn't want to make a scene) I had to ask him if he understood what I had just told him! I was not looking for a freebie - I had been going there for a long time and am a good tipper since I'm in the same business and know how hard we work. He did knock $5 off of the price but still never said anything acknowledging the seriousness of what I was trying to tell him. I paid the bill and left shaking my head in bewilderment. The experience bothered me so much that I could not stop thinking about how disgusting both men had behaved. I went back the next day and asked Chris if he truly understood what I had said. Also that I had been trying to help HIM and the business by letting him know that one of his employees was behaving in a way that could be damaging to his business. I asked if he had talked to the man (I don't know his name unfortunately but am sure it would have been his real name anyway). He shook his head "no" at first but then tried to tell me a few minutes later that the man had told him that what I had felt was his KNEE. Now.... without being too graphic I will simply say that it was certainly NOT A KNEE and definitely a penis. I told Chris that not only was what happened terribly wrong but also the way he was handling this and treating me was wrong as well. I hope that something like that does not happen to you or anyone you know but that if it does, please speak up. I know now that I should have stopped the session as soon as I could tell what happened but in my disbelief I did not. I didn't want to believe that it had happened! But as I said, the session ended not long after and then I realized I had to say something. If anything ever happens like that again (at any other place) I certainly won't hesitate to do something. My husband and I have been going here for about a year now. We literally feel like jelly when we leave, and the guy at the front desk is really nice and always accommodating within a half hour if we call to get an appointment. I used to go to the more expensive places that make you disrobe and had a male masseuse put his hand under the towel and rub by butt; I never went back again because I felt violated! This place will rub your glutes, but not in a nasty way, it's over your clothes and out in the open and usually with the forearm so there is a lot of pressure, it feels great after working out. The only negative remarks: 1.) Sometimes they come right to you after smoking a cigarette and start rubbing your face with stinky nicotine smelling fingers, because they didn't wash their hands; 2.)
