After a knock at our door one evening, while trying to hold back a barking dog and tend to our 11 month old baby my girlfriend opened the door. It was a very pleasant representative of HPH and after a few minutes of conversation, she agreed to have someone come out the following night for a "free" inspection. About 5 minutes later we received a confirmation call asking some basic questions which I think is great for both their business and the our potential needs. The following day promptly at 6:00PM, (scheduled time) Taylor showed up and greeted my girlfriend & yapping dog at the door. ( I had baby). After a couple minutes if chit chat Taylor got to business. He was even able to access our crawl space area which during our home inspection 1 year ago had not had a visual inspection. (Ladder not long enough). After about 10 minutes, he came down and gave us the news. Let's step aside for a second. I'm in sales for a living and have been so for 30 plus years. I had looked HPH up as I wanted to know who I was dealing with. They had a few marks on their record but after looking at the specifics of EACH & EVERY one of them, I wasn't the least concerned. (If you don't have any bad reviews as a business you're either not doing any business or haven't been in business long enough) I was still ready for a sales pitch after all this is how HE gets paid! I was already mentally rehearsing my rebuttals. Taylor came in with a broad smile and informed us that he often sees 4-5 homes per day and that our crawl space is one of the cleanest that he's seen. In addition he estimates that at the earliest, we'd need to start thinking about a roof in 5 or so years. He proceeded to give us tips on prolonging the life of our roof as far as maintenance. There was no sales pitch! I told him that I looked his company up and that their reviews looked pretty good. He asked me which ones I had read and gave me a little more insight on a couple of them. It was great to know that he was familiar with and specifically the circumstances that led to the online reviews. As a business, you can't make 100% of the people happy 100% of the time. More importantly, it's the actions as a business that you take when a problem presents itself that I'm concerned with. This organization is VERY accountable and prideful in what they do. Taylor gave us some ballpark pricing for when we were ready. He even said that "we're not the cheapest and we're not the most expensive". Side note, I will pay more, sometimes much more for a straight shooter. I HAVE TO TRUST YOU! This is the first online review that I have posted for a company that I've never done business with. I wanted to do this because there are so few companies out there that truly believe that helping/service is the most important tool when it comes to building any business. Lastly, Taylor is a class act and a major contributor when it comes down to doing things the right way. We really appreciated the 10 minutes that he spent educating us on something that I admittedly have ZERO knowledge about. Without a doubt when it comes time to replace our roof this will be the first and likely only call that I make. Based on my experience I would highly recommend this company to anyone I know. I recently purchased windows from HPH and I absolutely could not be more pleased! I admit, I am generally a bit skeptical of door to door companies but the guy who knocked on my door was so sweet I couldn't resist. I agreed to get an estimate for windows that my husband and I knew we needed but had absolutely zero intention of buying. Our sales rep Donovan was absolutely fantastic!! One of the friendliest people you'll ever meet!! When he arrived, he didn't jump straight to the sale, but rather took the time to understand our needs and the financial situation we were in. During the measuring, he was incredibly thorough with his inspection, knowledgeable regarding building code, and even made suggestions that resulted in cost savings - not common among sales people. After familiarizing us with his company and all the reasons they are top notch, we couldn't help but agree. He was very patient and answered all of our questions regarding the company, their install crew, the process from beginning to end and everything he told us turned out to be absolutely true! The office lady was a joy to deal with and Dan the supervisor is nothing short of meticulous. In the end, we bought windows that night because Donovan was the savior in making what didn't think we could get for a few years, very reasonably priced and affordable. He has an incredible sense of humor and for the first time ever, a sales guy came and we actually had fun! Our experience has been everything we were told it would be and more! We just had our new roof finished 5/9/2019 and it looks great. Matt did a great job with the estimate and explained everything from the material to the warranty. He took pictures outside and got up into the attic to take pictures from inside. The price was a little high but comparable to others I've seen. I like the 50 year warranty and that it is transferrable if we sell the house. Rob and George did an excellent job on the install. They got it done a little faster than expected and under budget. It turned out we didn't need to replace much plywood. We were credited for the unused plywood before paying the bill. They installed ridge vents and got rid of most of the old ugly vents that had been on the roof. They were on time every day, cleaned up every day and answered any questions I had. I would highly recommend them! I read the reviews before going ahead with this project and had concerns. I brought them up with Matt and he addressed each one to my satisfaction. At the end of our meeting he gave us an estimate and I know he wanted to close but I said I needed to sleep on it and get back to him. He respected that and did not push or call to bug me. HPH did a remarkable job on my windows and doors throughout my entire house. Everyone from the door to door person who scheduled my estimate to the salesperson, the critical measure person, installers and the office staff were excellent and I couldn't have asked for a better outcome. My house was in desperate need for these new windows and doors and they look and work amazing. When coming to a decision about which type and style the salesperson had all the different samples with him and all the options. The critical measure was scheduled shortly after and also was very helpful with the design and suggested a few different options that would work better and be safer for my family. The guys who came and installed worked with me on my crazy night shift schedule to come up with times that would work and I could still get some sleep. They also avoided all my plants and bushes around the house and took care to make sure everything was cleaned up after each day of work. ON the office end, Jasmin was great and helped me sort thru re-ordering a screen frame for my brand new sliding door after my neighbor's kid literally ran thru the door and broke the frame only a week after installation! HPH took care of everything starting from providing competitive pricing and finishing up with quality work in the stipulated time. All the team members were professional and honest throughout. What I really liked about HPH was that they were always there to answer my phone calls and emails for any questions whatsoever I had, both before starting the work and during the course of roof replacement. The project coordinator kept me up-to-date on the status of the job. She even kept calling me during the roof replacement process and asked me if I am satisfied with the workmanship and if I had any questions or concerns about the quality of the work. The work was completed inside 4 days and the guys cleaned up before leaving. What I really liked is that they did not rush and cut corners and did a thorough job as was explained before. They covered the sidings and the patio to avoid any damage to property. Once the job was done the inspector visited few days later to look around and make sure that job exceeded the expectations. We recently worked with High Performance Homes on a roofing project and couldn't be more satisfied. We opted for their High Performance roofing package, including the ridge vent system, as well as new gutters for the entire house. Our project estimator, Travis, was outstanding--professional, attentive, and never pushy. He gave us the time and space to make decisions without feeling pressured, which we really appreciated. Josh, our project coordinator, stayed in close contact throughout, checking in multiple times to ensure everything was progressing smoothly and that our needs were met. The on-site crew was professional and did a great job of cleaning up daily. While we did find a few stray nails in the lawn after the project was finished, it was a minor issue in the grand scheme of things. The highlight of the entire project was the installation of a solar tube between our kitchen and dining room. The natural light it brings in has been a game changer for us, and we absolutely love it! High Performance Homes is the only company to get a new roof from. The two guys that came out to quote my house were very flexible with my work schedule and came out at 7PM. There did a much more thorough inspection than other companies I ask to quote my roof. They even went up into my attic to inspect the plywood for any leaking spots and for mold. Because of them completely checking out my roof from outside and inside I was able to get a very accurate quote that lead to NO surprises during installation. The two guys that quoted my roof were very informative and fun to hang out with. The installation of the new roof went very smoothly and without any unexpected delays or costs. The foremen for the team kept me informed with progress and took me around the house to point out what work was done and explained the purpose of certain features. The crew was a nice group of people and at the end of each day they cleaned up all debris. I hired High Performance Homes (HPH) to replace my siding in 2024, and it turned out to be one of the worst contractor experiences I've ever had. Communication was awful throughout the project--I had to constantly chase them for updates and answers. The project dragged on far longer than promised with little explanation, and the crew often didn't show up when scheduled. When the work was finally finished, the quality was clearly subpar, with visible cracks, uneven lines, and a rushed, careless look. On top of that, the crew left a mess around my home and didn't take care to protect my property. Even worse, when I reached out with post-installation concerns, they gave me the runaround and took months to complete repairs. This company completely lacked professionalism and follow-through. We had our windows and sliding doors in our 1960's house replaced by HPH. The crew that came out to install the windows were wonderful. Many of of windows were very large, and the original framing and trim was all custom to match the period of the house. Dwayne and his crew not only matched the look of the original trim, but found wood in the same grain/finish so that the new sills and trim look identical to what we'd had before. In replacing the sliding glass door, Dwayne found a pet door insert to replace ours that perfectly matched the new sliding glass door, and it looks as if it was manufactured to go with the new sliders. The crew was tidy, efficient, and worked hard in the cold and rain to ensure everything went well. They even finished a day early! A couple weeks ago we had a new roof put on by High Performance Homes. The salesmen who talked to us, explained several options and pricing as well as answered our many questions. We checked BBB to make sure they were a reputable company, and were pleased by what we found. The employees of HPH were all very professional, timely and communicated very well with us. Frank's team came and replaced our roof in one day. They were like a well oiled machine with their timing and efficiency. It was quite impressive. The men on our roof all had safety harnesses on.
