    Beautiful place

We added our name to the list... it was a busy morning..... they said 25 minutes... our table was ready in 10.... Jacob was our server.... He was very patient with all of us female's.... all wanting this and that... Jacob was friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu as well as the area... we kept him hopping and he did a great job of keeping up... They're pretty strict with breakfast and lunch menu times... We all ordered different kinds of food... I haven't been disappointed yet... We parked in the parking structure... a few blocks from the beach...

The overall experience was disappointing due to a clear lack of quality control and execution. The fried chicken tenders were unusually dark (overcooking or poor oil management). The flavor and texture reflected that as well. The Hawaiian kimchi fried rice (?)wasn't actually fried. The kimchi tasted raw and barely warmed, mixed into hot rice without proper cooking. It felt unfinished and difficult to eat--I only had a couple of bites before stopping. What made this more concerning was noticing that another table also left more than half of their fried rice untouched, suggesting this wasn't an isolated issue. Overall, the food felt overthought yet under-executed. Some dishes lacked a clear identity and came across as confused rather than intentional. If the kitchen isn't confident in executing certain dishes, it would be better to remove them from the menu entirely. Restaurants should serve food that guests can reasonably enjoy and finish. Creativity is welcome, but it needs to be supported by clarity, consistency, and proper execution--unfortunately, that balance was missing here.

High/ low is a solid brunch spot with spectacular views. I've tried a few things on the menu, but the spicy BLT is my favorite. I love coming here and sitting outside on nice days. Service is a bit slow, but other than that it's great!

Decent joint. Service was fantastic. I had the Hash (was not what I was used to, but was decent), and my wife had a pancakes and sausage. I thought her sausage was delish. We both enjoyed a couple cocktails. Not bad. Love that they are dog friendly. Overall was an average experience. Nothing really "Wowed" us.

This place was great! The location and setting is perfect being right across the beach. The vanilla latte was good. I also got the breakfast burrito (I ate it before any pictures) and it was great! The service was friendly and had good recommendations.

Had a lovely lunch here at High/Low. They have a great outside patio which has nice ocean views from across the street.. The menu has a variation of offerings leaning towards brunch/lunch. I had the grilled cheese & tomato soup & my friend had a yummy egg scramble dish. Friendly & attentive servers. Good spot to bring out of towners

Great breakfast location near the ocean. Make reservations to avoid long wait. You can enjoy a latte while you wait which is delicious. Spent Christmas morning here studying enjoying my coffee which was refreshing. The location is right accross the pier and decor is hip concrete modern inside and oceaside beach wood outside. The staff is always welcoming and very attentive. Would recommend this place.

Lovely place to enjoy a drink and appetizers on the patio. Especially liked the garlic fries topped with shaved Parmesan. Waiters are friendly and efficient. Been here three times in a week and will be our go-to while on vacation. Steps from the beach with a great view.

I've been trying this business out since I moved here and they still don't disappoint... my group loved the food. Eggs were cooked perfect, waffles were delicious, tater tots are a little oily so can't eat too many of them but I love the crunch, the clamp chowder was good- not too creamy but make sure you love bacon because its a bit overwhelming in flavor, and the Bloody Marry was great. The view of the ocean is pretty much blocked by the plants in front of the outside dining area, I wish it was more open for the view but you can venture out after dining for an amazing walk down to the beach or at the Pier. The wait was about 20 minuets on Sunday, they didnt take reservations. Enjoy!

I've been coming to high/low since it's opening around 5 years ago. The food (classic Southern California/American fare) is consistently delicious. The cocktails are fresh and inventive. When I am wanting a coffee + pastry and a walk on the beach, I love to get an Americano and their almond croissant and stroll the pier. When I want to grab lunch with a friend or bring a guest from out of town to a restaurant with an ocean view, high/low is at the top of my list! I came today with a friend and we enjoyed lunch. She had the rockfish ceviche and I had the chicken and avocado sando. And we both chose a little sparkling wine to go with. The sando was great, with the bread being perfectly buttered and lightly toasted. I was grateful to the server for the suggestion of swapping out the coleslaw for sweet potato fries. My friend said the ceviche, which is served with plantain chips was so good, she ended up scooping up the juice with a spoon! Recieved excellent service- chill, knowledgable about the menu and friendly. The price for a sit down meal is somewhat expensive, but worth it. Will happily pay for scrumptious food and an oceanfront view. High/Low is located in front of and attached to the Mission Pacific Hotel. Parking can be a challenge, but there is a Pay lot nearby and metered street parking. Looking forward to going back soon!

We were staying at the hotel here & wanted breakfast that was close . We shared the Ultimate Oside Breakfast Burrito . This was really good . Big enough to share . It had bacon , eggs, tots, cheese , salsa verde which was really yummy - picked jalapeños. We also had a piece of banana bread that was thick & yummy . The views are amazing of the ocean . We ate outside . The waitress was helpful & nice . They are only open until 7pm . If you are in the area I recommend it . They have Coke products

Even on a cloudy morning, sitting outside on the boardwalk with the breeze was so nice. Parking was easy, everything was clean and really cute inside, and you order right at the counter. The adorable girl who helped us was SO sweet and friendly! We weren't sure what to order, so she helped us pick some of their more popular dishes and promised we wouldn't be disappointed. She was right! I got the Stratford Scramble and a mocha latte with oat milk. The scramble was a HUGE portion and delicious. Did it completely wow me? No, but I definitely enjoyed it! The mocha latte was SO good. Nuzz got the Chilaquiles Jalisco and his first ever nitro cold brew. He loved both! The chilaquiles weren't too spicy, and he said the nitro was different from any cold brew he's had before and almost creamy. But the COFFEE CAKE!! When they asked if we wanted toast or coffee cake, we both chose coffee cake and thank goodness we did Soft, sweet, icing drizzled on top and SO good. That is something I would 100% come back for! Beautiful location, friendly service, good breakfast and great coffee. Such a relaxing way to start the morning. We'd definitely come back! And next time, coffee cake again. No question.

That's exactly what my family and I did before heading into the restaurant! The process was easy and convenient. When you walk in, you can grab your own menu, find an open table, and once you decide what you'd like, you place your order and receive a number. The fountain drinks, coffee, and tea are self-serve, which makes everything simple and convenient. Our visit was great! I ordered the chilaquiles, and they were delicious--flavorful but not spicy. My kids ordered chicken and fries, while my daughter got a hamburger, which she really enjoyed. Another thing I liked is that since you pay when you order, once you're finished eating, you can simply leave without having to wait for the check. I also want to give a special thank you to Tiffany, the manager. I accidentally forgot my wallet, and thankfully someone turned it in. Tiffany was extremely helpful and made sure I was able to get it back. I truly appreciate her and the staff at Stratford! Overall, I'm very pleased with the location, the food, and especially the customer service. My family and I will definitely be going back!!

They had ceviche in the cooler, and honestly the 5-star reviews almost convinced me to grab some, but the breakfast burrito was calling my name. Saw they had burritos, so I ordered their harbor burrito. What I received was a tiny burrito (see picture) with no salsa. When I went back in to ask for salsa, they handed me several Heinz taco sauce packets. Seriously? I'm not asking for fresh made salsa/pico here, but at least some store bought salsa, even Tapatio would suffice. When I bit into my burrito, I felt and heard a loud crunch. The tortilla was overcooked and crunchy. I also had to wait 10 minutes for my burrito to cool down enough to edible levels. The "Italian sausage" advertised was hot dog. Literal hot dog. Ridiculous! I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that their seafood and sandwiches are better, but I'm never eating here again, so I guess I'll never know. +1 star for said benefit of the doubt. *Note: The prices advertised are not current. When I asked the cashier why the burrito was $3 more than advertised, she pointed to a tiny sticky note on the menu that was curved so far it was not immediately readable that stated, "Prices are subject to change." No explanation, just point.

This is my order that I placed on the Door Dash App this morning. My order was one Pastrami Toasted Sandwich on white sandwich bread. These ingredients included: (lettuce, sliced tomatoes, sliced pickles, and cucumbers with a spicy mustard). The price is $12.99. I also ordered the one Potato Salad. The price is $3.00. My beverage was the one Ginger Ale it was $3.99. For dessert I ordered one cheesecake the price is $5.99. My subtotal was $25.97. The Delivery Fee would have been $6.99 but since I have a Dash Pass Membership I was NOT charged a delivery fee on this online order. The Expanded Range Fee was $1.49. The Service Fee was $4.93 but it was reduced to $2.33. The Estimated Tax is $1.73. This Dasher Tip I had chosen for Armor was $6.00. My total bill was $32.52. My order arrived on time at 8 a. m. from Armor my Dasher Driver and he handed me my order. The Pastrami Sandwich on the white bread with all the healthy ingredients inside was very delicious and I love Pastrami it was piled high inside my sandwich. The Potato Salad was very good and it was a great combo with my deli. sandwich. The Ginger Ale was very refreshing and not too sweet for a soft drink. And for my dessert the one sliced Iced Lemon Loaf Cake was really flavorful and yummy! I ordered one piece of this sliced Cheesecake and the price is $5.99. I dd NOT receive this Cheesecake with my order. Instead, I received a (Substituted Item), it was this one package of this sliced Iced Lemon Loaf Cake and I was still charged the $5.99 almost $6.00 to my NFCU Visa Credit Card Account today. There was (no Note) telling me that my Cheesecake which I had originally ordered was missing from my order and it was not available to me their new customer. There should be an explanation telling me their new customer in writing a (personal note) to me that this one Cheesecake was sold out or you need to update your Menu on your website, so your future customers will not have to go through this same issue that I had experienced today with my Door Dash online order.
