    The Deli Menu

GOOD MORNING!!!!!!!! This is the best place for only the best of people! Everything you need under one roof! New renovations have brought this spot to the tippy top! Beer & Wine & Snacks & Lotto & the best customer service! If you don't go, sorry your not cool enough to hang out!

    Spicy Oceanside with blacked turkey

By far my favorite place to get a sandwich, better than any sandwich I've ever eaten and they even got me eating turkey which I'd not done before, trying it here as a suggestion by Randy!! Not only great sandwiches made with Boar's Head the customer service is unmatched, I go there everyday just for that!!

California Sandwich. Half the sandwich. I can't wait to hit up this deli after surfing again. The food is d-f'in-licious. See y'all soon.

You need to try this spot for a fat n' fresh sandwich. I just devoured half a cali and a Turkey/cheese/avo sandwich and I can NOT move. I could have gone with half the sandwich and called it a night, but seeing al that avocado schmmearrredd all over that sourdough slice, I knew I couldn't eat it the next day. This is THE SPOT. You're from the east coast, need a good spot to eat at after surfing all day? Hit this place up and chow down. You'll feel like a submarine once you've finished your meal. For $10-12 a sandwich, with the amount of avocado there was, yes to all.

    We love Al's!

I stop in everyday and see Al and his sons. Everyone in downtown Oceanside loves this place. It is an iconic little store that a lot of people know. I play the pick 3 lottery game here and have won several times. Habibi !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A

Really cool spot. I came by cause I saw their deli was serving boars head. A boars head deli in Oceanside !! The sandwich quality was really good, I got chicken, pepper jack cheese, avocado and bacon on sour dough with a few veggies. Friendly staff and their store also has pretty much everything you need. Brews, snacks, groceries for the house, BOARS HEAD SANDWICHES! Cool korner spot, highly recommend if your in oside!!

This place is filthy the owner just stands around and smokes cigars
    John F.

We live in such a nice community and this place is always littered with trash. The owner instead of cleaning up the grounds, he just stands around smoking his stinky cigars. It's so sad there is no show of respect to our nice beach community.

Had breakfast on Saturday morning at this restaurant in Oceanside. The location is attached to the…read moreMission Pacific Hotel. We arrived for breakfast just after 9 AM and it was not crowded at all. We were able to sit wherever we wanted. The restaurant offers indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating has an amazing view of the Oceanside beach and pier. The indoor seating is an open air concept with their coffee bar and bakery at the front and a closed kitchen in the back. The weight staff was very professional and courteous. Ours was especially attentive and took the time to tell us what some of the more popular dishes are at breakfast time. The food was delicious. Their coffee was delicious! I ordered the lemon ricotta pancakes, and they were moist and surprisingly, very citrusy and slightly tart which was balanced with a few dollops of lemon curd that was on the plate. I also ordered a coffee cake, which I did not end up eating however, when I had it as a midnight snack later, it was delicious. It was so buttery, especially on top where the crumble was. It was the perfect blend of sweet and salty. My daughter ordered the Hawaiian style fried rice. We were pleasantly surprised that the spam on the plate is homemade spam and not the kind you get from the can. It definitely tasted a lot better than the kind you get from the can. Sidenote: I am a fan of the one you get on the can, however! The fried rice was fried with kimchi, pineapple, green onion, and toasted sesame oil. The plate came with a thin omelette on top. The portions are good, and if you are not too hungry, you can definitely share them. This place is also dog friendly, which I found to be great since I am the owner of a rat terrier. There were plenty of other customers with their furry friends chilling at their feet. In fact, the restaurant offers a pet menu with options like unsalted hamburger or unsalted and grilled chicken thigh. I am definitely going to go back when I'm in the area. I am excited to try other things on their menu. Enjoy!

We were seated at a perfect table on the patio, Ethan was our awesome server! I had a really hard time choosing what I wanted, so I went with the Clam Chowder and the Vegan Banana Pancake. The Clam Chowder was presented beautifully, but actually was just ok. There was little flavor, it was mostly just a bowl of potatoes and broth. The vegan banana pancake was delicious!! My cousin said her food was just ok as well. We both had hot drinks and loved them. I had a latte and she had 2 of the hot chocolates. We did enjoy the ambiance and the service. I would go back again to try other menu items as they were highly recommended by family members.

Even on a cloudy morning, sitting outside on the boardwalk with the breeze was so nice. Parking was easy, everything was clean and really cute inside, and you order right at the counter. The adorable girl who helped us was SO sweet and friendly! We weren't sure what to order, so she helped us pick some of their more popular dishes and promised we wouldn't be disappointed. She was right! I got the Stratford Scramble and a mocha latte with oat milk. The scramble was a HUGE portion and delicious. Did it completely wow me? No, but I definitely enjoyed it! The mocha latte was SO good. Nuzz got the Chilaquiles Jalisco and his first ever nitro cold brew. He loved both! The chilaquiles weren't too spicy, and he said the nitro was different from any cold brew he's had before and almost creamy. But the COFFEE CAKE!! When they asked if we wanted toast or coffee cake, we both chose coffee cake and thank goodness we did Soft, sweet, icing drizzled on top and SO good. That is something I would 100% come back for! Beautiful location, friendly service, good breakfast and great coffee. Such a relaxing way to start the morning. We'd definitely come back! And next time, coffee cake again. No question.

That's exactly what my family and I did before heading into the restaurant! The process was easy and convenient. When you walk in, you can grab your own menu, find an open table, and once you decide what you'd like, you place your order and receive a number. The fountain drinks, coffee, and tea are self-serve, which makes everything simple and convenient. Our visit was great! I ordered the chilaquiles, and they were delicious--flavorful but not spicy. My kids ordered chicken and fries, while my daughter got a hamburger, which she really enjoyed. Another thing I liked is that since you pay when you order, once you're finished eating, you can simply leave without having to wait for the check. I also want to give a special thank you to Tiffany, the manager. I accidentally forgot my wallet, and thankfully someone turned it in. Tiffany was extremely helpful and made sure I was able to get it back. I truly appreciate her and the staff at Stratford! Overall, I'm very pleased with the location, the food, and especially the customer service. My family and I will definitely be going back!!

They had ceviche in the cooler, and honestly the 5-star reviews almost convinced me to grab some, but the breakfast burrito was calling my name. Glad I listened that thing was packed with ingredients and seriously good. Absolutely loved the vibe here. Part fish market, part café, with a steady morning rush of coffee drinkers, locals, and regulars coming through the door. The team was professional and friendly from the cashier all the way back to the line cooks. You could tell everyone was working in sync back there. Definitely coming back... and next time I'm finally trying the actual main attraction: the fish.

Saw they had burritos, so I ordered their harbor burrito. What I received was a tiny burrito (see picture) with no salsa. When I went back in to ask for salsa, they handed me several Heinz taco sauce packets. Seriously? I'm not asking for fresh made salsa/pico here, but at least some store bought salsa, even Tapatio would suffice. When I bit into my burrito, I felt and heard a loud crunch. The tortilla was overcooked and crunchy. I also had to wait 10 minutes for my burrito to cool down enough to edible levels. The "Italian sausage" advertised was hot dog. Literal hot dog. Ridiculous! I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that their seafood and sandwiches are better, but I'm never eating here again, so I guess I'll never know. +1 star for said benefit of the doubt. *Note: The prices advertised are not current. When I asked the cashier why the burrito was $3 more than advertised, she pointed to a tiny sticky note on the menu that was curved so far it was not immediately readable that stated, "Prices are subject to change." No explanation, just point.

I…read morestill decided to give this Pastrami & Pickles Delicatessen a Excellent (5 stars rating) because this Door Dash Delivery Company resolved my issue with this missing dessert item today. This is my order that I placed on the Door Dash App this morning. My order was one Pastrami Toasted Sandwich on white sandwich bread. These ingredients included: (lettuce, sliced tomatoes, sliced pickles, and cucumbers with a spicy mustard). The price is $12.99. I also ordered the one Potato Salad. The price is $3.00. My beverage was the one Ginger Ale it was $3.99. For dessert I ordered one cheesecake the price is $5.99. My subtotal was $25.97. The Delivery Fee would have been $6.99 but since I have a Dash Pass Membership I was NOT charged a delivery fee on this online order. The Expanded Range Fee was $1.49. The Service Fee was $4.93 but it was reduced to $2.33. The Estimated Tax is $1.73. This Dasher Tip I had chosen for Armor was $6.00. My total bill was $32.52. My order arrived on time at 8 a. m. from Armor my Dasher Driver and he handed me my order. The Pastrami Sandwich on the white bread with all the healthy ingredients inside was very delicious and I love Pastrami it was piled high inside my sandwich. The Potato Salad was very good and it was a great combo with my deli. sandwich. The Ginger Ale was very refreshing and not too sweet for a soft drink. And for my dessert the one sliced Iced Lemon Loaf Cake was really flavorful and yummy! I ordered one piece of this sliced Cheesecake and the price is $5.99. I dd NOT receive this Cheesecake with my order. Instead, I received a (Substituted Item), it was this one package of this sliced Iced Lemon Loaf Cake and I was still charged the $5.99 almost $6.00 to my NFCU Visa Credit Card Account today. This substituted dessert the one package of the sliced Iced Lemon Loaf Cake doesn't cost $5.99. The same dessert item at Walmart only cost $1.24. There was (no Note) telling me that my Cheesecake which I had originally ordered was missing from my order and it was not available to me their new customer. There should be an explanation telling me their new customer in writing a (personal note) to me that this one Cheesecake was sold out or you need to update your Menu on your website, so your future customers will not have to go through this same issue that I had experienced today with my Door Dash online order. I had to sign into my Door Dash Account and I explained this issue to the Door Dash Delivery Company. I said there was a Missing Item from my order today but I had received a substituted dessert which was the one sliced Lemon Loaf Cake but it's a cheaper price than this Cheesecake for The $5.99. This Door Dash Company made me really satisfied and I was given a credit to my visa credit card account in the amount of $7.03. I can use this credit which will be applied to my next online order that I place on the Door Dash App. This Door Dash Delivery Service really cares about their loyal customers like myself in resolving my issue today.
