A gas station is not just a gas station and who cares where you go. You want a gas station that is clean, safe, has helpful staff and a spot to get any needed snacks or gee I forgot let me grab stuff here. This Chevron has all of that. It is ever so clean, the staff is super nice, the prices are the same as anywhere else, they have clean squeegees and paper towels. The bathrooms here are clean and stocked. And they have their Extra Mile store. What a great little store. They have cold soda, not like some places, they have treats and paper towels and you need it on the road they have it stuff. So, I was looking for a restroom, and I drove to a Chevron, 7-Eleven, Shell, and I wasn't able to find one. The 7-Eleven didn't have public restrooms, and the Shell employee didn't want to let me use it unless it was an emergency. The other Chevron was just a booth, so no store. Anyway, I did notice this store carries a couple of kombucha options (which I haven't seen before). I'm happy they still carry the Arizona Rx in plastic bottles. I knew this location would be my best bet though since I used to work at a G&M before. Other than the break hours that are normally set by the company, it's predictable that Chevron is a 24/7, 365-day operation. They don't allow employees to even take any days off in December. Google maps actually says 1601 n Coast highway....in actually an employee on medical leave pending a broken shoulder...as someone who knows what it's like to work a store by oneself when it's busy Im respectful and clean up after myself ...I also like my own coffee so I don't get much more than hot water and some candies maybe....I just had the rudest experience of my life by THE MANAGER Dolores or whatever her poor mother named her ....I make my coffee and wait for the restroom and there is a line so I'm waiting for like 15 minutes....there is an older guy behind me and I let him go in front because I know I might be a second as my hands are covered in axle grease from the bike I ride....when I finally get inside I barley have time to get my pants down before she's pounding on the door yelling at me like I'm one of her 40 kids or something...regardless I finish my business and attempt to disarm the situation by correcting her misconception of time and who was in the bathroom...she then lied about watching the cameras accuses me of stealing and tries to make me pay for hot water ...when I asked to speak to her supervisor she refused and told me to get out ...if this is what you consider management material...or even human decency I am at a loss for who would ever work let alone visit this place the bathrooms were filthy and sky high with trash...so what does she actually do besides yell at people to get her obvious need for sadistic abuse out of the way....my next call is to my lawyer for discrimination...a robot would have been a better bet. read more

Friday September 9, 2022 @ 10 am - I normally don't leave reviews like this but my god, I've never been treated so horribly by staff at a gas station. We stopped by to gas up & use the restroom. My friend was in the restroom when she noticed there was no toilet paper. I walked to the front of the store & advised the cashier. She said it smelled too horrible for her to go in & refill. I really needed to use the restroom, so I offered to take the roll & refill it for her. But she still refused. I walked back to the restroom, & as I was standing in the hallway telling my friend to use paper towels, the cashier sprayed me with air freshener & continued to spray down the small hallway while I was standing there. When my friend came out, I tried to walk in & use the restroom, she stood outside the door & refused to let me use it. I didn't get her name but she was a short, dark haired Hispanic woman. She should get some customer service training or not deal with the public if that's how she's going to treat people. read more

When we stopped by to fuel up, this gas station was different that any other ones. It was very clean and very well maintained. Staff was very nice and professional. This location is located right by the freeway so it was very easy for us to see it off the freeway and get there. All of the pumps were working properly. Perfect stop right off the I-5 to fill-up the truck while towing an RV. It was super easy to take exit 54 and make a right then head back a quarter mile to the Chevron Station. There is a big roomy driveway to get in to get gas. The place has a minimart too. Best of all, the I-5 South on-ramp is right across the road with a signal so it was super easy to get right back on the freeway. read more

Mutiple pumps are not working, moved to a working one but card reader didn't work. I went inside to pay and attendant placed money on a different pump. My son had to go pee so we got off the freeway and went inside to use the bathroom. The ONE star is for the super rude attitude the lady at the register gave me after that ... when we had gone back out to the car to leave, the battery was dead ... Easy access on and off the 5 on the North end of Oceanside. Because of the access, gas is a little more expensive but not by a lot. The building looks like your typical Chevron with a mini mart inside to refill your coffee cup, get a drink or a snack. It's a gas station so it's really hard to get pumped up about it.......pardon the pun. read more

Stopped by here for an energy drink while on the way to the beach. The parking lot is pretty compact and could be tricky if you have a bigger sized car. They have the usual snack foods inside with some rotten bananas and juicy hot dogs. They have a lot of drink choices. We got 2 monsters for $3.99. They also have fountain drinks if you need to add anything special to your drink while on the beach. The person at the counter was very nice and personable. Lottery scratchers can be bought at the counter as well. Chevron is the gas portion and Extra Mile is the convenient store section. USED to like this station because of its close access to the freeway and good quality gas--however, I keep having an issue with my credit card there, and I have been there SO often, but the clerk still gave me drama when I didn't have my ID on me-- I asked him to call the bank so I could verify because I forgot my ID at home and had NO gas (didn't realize until I got there that I was in such a predicament) So Martin (I believe was his name) did NOTHING in his power to help me out, an instead just said "sorry, we have very strict policies." This Chevron gas station just has a mid-size convenient store. According to Gas Buddy, it is above average in price compared to other gas stations in the area. It is located just off the 5 in Oceanside. Though it is a small station, it offers a spacious layout to get in and out. However, prices can be better and getting back onto the freeway seems a bit sketch because the road to get on when leaving the station curves around the property so there's a significant blind spot to account for in that aspect. Overall, though this is a more pleasant gas station to visit in the area, the prices do not reflect the same. However, given the limited options around to fill gas, especially if you're just passing through, this Chevron is much more convenient to go to. read more

I write my review for the coffee and service. Coffee is great: Seattle's Best and its always there waiting for me when I do my weekly drives up n down the 5. Not burnt which is perfect I drink it black. They have organic to dark roast and they have all the fancy stuff to put in such as sugar and cream if your so inclined. Also you get a discount if you use your own cup. Service is always helpful and the coffee is always ready to go... and that's the graveyard shift! read more
